Budget Right Handyman

The handyman took a few trips to the hardware store but eventually all work was completed and we weren't charged for the extra time it took.

Great. Arrived on time and worked quickly and efficiently. Very satisfied with the work performed. Also very easy to schedule even came on a Saturday.

Service was good. I was disappointed I was not give the correct supply list I needed for the job. I was told I needed nails, but what was needed were screws. I needed caulk, which I did not have. I feel the job was not completed, it would have been nice if my repairman had offered his caulk. Joanne Johnson

Anthony was very nice, but he did have to come back (for free) to rework the patch and paint as it was noticeably visible and not satisfactory for a walk through by future owners of the condo. Customer service between Anthony and Budget team was great though.

Paul was a few minutes early for the appointment which I appreciated. He explained the process to me right off the bat and took a look in the basement. The initial plan (discussed over the phone) had been to install a pump and use PVC pipe so the condensate could drain into my laundry sink. This would have been unsightly. Paul was able to open the drain and fit PVC to fit properly into the drain. He also evaluated my walls and is going to come back next weekend to sanitize them so I do not have a mold problem. Paul saved me a lot of money in not needing to buy a pump and in labor hours. I'm also really pleased that the drywall is not ruined and just needs to be disinfected. I appreciate his honesty and his quick evaluation of the situation. He was professional and informative and I know who I will be calling now if I need more help around the house.

Very well! I used Budget Right Handyman to remove some 50-year-old "Z brick" from the walls of my horrible kitchen and re-tile the walls while I was having my countertops replaced. This was a difficult job because the prior owner had cemented in the Z brick himself (ugh). They sent Phil, who tore down the brick, re-drywalled the walls and then did the most beautiful tiling job around the built-in cabinets on the oddly shaped walls of my nearly 100-year-old kitchen! He was very skilled and took great pains with the tiling, for a very reasonable price. I am thrilled with the result.

It was a terrible experience and will never recommend this company to anyone. They do kitchens, baths and apparently handyman work. I've never felt so frustrated at the lack of professionalism by their office. The biggest issue is they're a time and material company. They quoted me over the phone 16 labor hours for the work. It is VERY obvious that the project manager's who are doing these quotes have no experience with electrical work. 16 total labor hours comes out to $960.00. I ended up spending $1527 just for the service. This is on top of the $300 I spent on the lights, recessed cans, wire, connectors. I can understand going over budget by a hundred bucks due to difficulties or snags here or there but it's unacceptable to go $600 over your quote. There's no point of these "project managers" quoting jobs. They scheduled their electrician, Edgar, for two days to get this job done. After one day of work it was clear that he needed help so I called their office to get a 2nd person out here to help. Edgar did his best and he's a **** hard worker. After two days, they still weren't done with their job at my house. There was drywall and exposed insulation hanging from the ceiling. (I have a 4 month old that can't be exposed to fiberglass so he had to be at my dads house) They had Edgar scheduled out all day Friday. So my job wasn't complete. Their office wouldn't schedule Edgar to come back on Friday morning and complete my job. I refused to sign their paperwork on Thursday until the job was completed. Their office manager threatened that I had to sign the paperwork because it's a T/M job and not a quoted job. You don't leave a job not completed and go onto the next one regardless to if you have other jobs scheduled. It's completely unprofessional. They wouldn't budge and neither would I. Edgar ended up coming over around 5:30 pm on Friday night, after his earlier job, to get this completed for me. I ended up paying everything because at the end of the day, the electrician Edgar did his best with what he was given. I had another quote for this job at $1200 and it was a flat rate I think not going with the other company is my biggest regret. This company clearly has a lot of reviews and puts a lot of money/marketing into Angie's List to get so many reviews. Don't use this company for anything!!!!

Purchased coupon on Angies list. Coupon advertised value of $220 for $110 for 2 hours work. Their hourly rate is actually $59 so the value of the coupon is actually only $118 a savings of $8. They promptly called and I described the work and they estimated an extra hour, at this point I'm locked in and said fine. When they arrived to job site I had to add another small project (would take me no more than 15 minutes) the gentleman then estimated 4 hours work to be done. While work was being done I drove past 3 time and 2 of the 3 times he was sitting in his truck. Then he called me at 10 minutes to 4 hour mark (I had told him I would be 10 minutes away) and told me he was finishing up. I am not sure that the job was being milked but this is curious.

We had about 3 dozen "punch list" items on our new home. Glenn came the first day and did a great job of hanging a new chandelier & installing an extra outlet for a new TV. Justin came the next time, and adjusted a ton of our doors, did a ton of caulking, and a bunch of other things. I was really happy with all their work, and am hoping to get them back soon to take care of even more things we need.

The handyman showed up on time and got to work relatively quick. The installation took the full 2 hours but it was a very professional job. The doorknobs fit perfectly and there was no damage or mess left. I purchased an Angies list coupon and received 2 hours of work for the price of one. I don't think the job should have taken 2 hours but I didn't need anything else accomplished so it wasn't a big deal to me. I would be hesitant using them for larger projects but for minor work like I had it was perfect. The handyman was a very nice guy and punctual.

The job went extremely well! Brian was the technician and I give him an "A+". He was professional and polite, his work was impressive. Clean, efficient and timely. I would highly recommend Budget Right Handyman and don't forget to request Brian!!

I have ALWAYS had a great experience with these guys. Joe and Art moved huge furniture with no problem, assembled (and reinforced) a captain's bed, fixed a door knob, caulked a tub, LOTS of little things and always with a great attitude. Took less time than I thought it would, and they were able to fit me into their schedule as I was in a time crunch. I have already asked they return for a few more things that have popped up

I was pretty unsatisfied with the work. The coupon didn't save much. It was maybe $10. With the work that's been done, they did a very poor job. I complained with the company and they sent out a guy to work on a couple of hours on their own expenses, but still he didn't do a good job. They were responsive. When I talked to Budget Right Handyman, it seemed that they knew what kind of repair had to be done. And then when I complained, they sent me a guy to fix the things. I appreciated that. The guy who came was a subcontractor. Maybe they should make sure that they are qualified if you pay for 8 hours of work. It was probably something that can be done in four hours, but I couldn't do it because I wasn't in town for the whole week. I would have done it myself, and for sure have done a better job.

It didn't go well. I needed the caulking of the bathroom and my condo replaced (I am the landlord, my tenants complained of the moldy and broken caulk). I ordered the coupon for Budget Right Handyman via Angie's List and booked the service. The phone call to book was straight forward and easy, the person I spoke to was very personable. The handyman, Reece, performed the work initially on September 1, 2016.

I purchased the caulk for the initial work to ensure the proper product was used. Handyman did the job extremely poorly. The caulk bead did not touch the wall, and huge amounts of water went through the gap and soaked the downstairs neighbors ceiling. I called them to come out and redo the job. They sent the same guy. However, this time, because he didn't seal the opened caulk container correctly (at all), it was dried out, so he brought his own. He did a much better job when he applied the caulk this time. However, 24 hours later when taking a shower the caulk was WASHING AWAY. It turns out he didn't use waterproof caulk meant for bathrooms. At this point I gave up working with these clowns and hired a specialist. Would not recommend.

Nate was excellent. He came out 4 times. I was more than pleased with him. He was knowledgeable, courteous and very efficient. I needed a variety of things done. He was on top of everything. I will be engaging him again soon.

I have used Budget in the past and was pleased with their work. When I joined the plaster next to my furnace was crumbling I gave them a call. They arrived on time, didn't mind my dogs, got right to work and completed the job to my satisfaction.

Justin and Julio did a great job. On time in arrival, Purchased, measured and installed the drywall in record time. Even cleaned up after the job was finished. I will use again.

Handy man Steve, arrived on time and after ringing doorbell he got no response. I was in basement and he then called on telephone. Extremely nice man and he explained everything he was doing and replaced a hose in our kitchen sink faucet. Ran into a slight problem but took his time and got the job done. Will use again and After owner Dirk Houser called him we got a quick phone call from Steve. Thanks Everyone was great..

We had Edgar come out to our house and I could not say more positive things about him. I was thinking he would get through fixing one outlet and our kitchen light that kept tripping. He worked so fast that he finished those both in 30 minutes. We was able to also update an old light switch and fix another outlet that we were having trouble with. He went to Home Depot to get the materials we needed and still finished this all in the two hours we purchased. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again- Edgar is professional and very efficient in his work.

This went great! Edgar is friendly and personable and he arrived right on time. He found a way to make me feel good about the laughable patches I had already done. This man was very professional and somewhat of an artist. He paid attention to many small details and took his time. In just under 2 hours I now have the washing machine in working order. The delivery guys had switched the hot and cold hoses. I'm so glad I hired someone who knows about these things. Even though they were 6-10" holes in my wall, considered small by some, I just wanted them gone. Seriously, this is a great service idea and the price is affordable. I will be using them again soon and I hope to see Edgar.

This was our second time with Budget Right and it was not as successful as the first time. The tech was very late arriving (the office had contacted us after about an hour and this was after they had heard from the tech - the office apologized and said they would get someone else out). The original tech did show up and said he had to go to the hardware store to get the proper supplies. After over an hour he arrived back, did patch the area and said that one coat of mud probably was not enough, but did not offer to add to it - I will be doing this myself prior to hanging clothes back on the rod. The actual work time was only about one-half hour, but in his defense, he did get the job somewhat done.
