Blue Planet Aquarium was born out of one unique belief: that aquariums are beautiful and interesting enough to be more than highlights, and deserve to become integral parts of the places they occupy. Our aquariums will completely change your interior space, bringing a sharp, modern look while also incorporating the ever-changing, unique sight of nature brought indoors. Since 1999, we have designed countless unique aquarium solutions for corporate as well as residential clients, and are second to none in the execution of our unique designs. This is why our employees have had the opportunity to work on large projects for clients like Rainforest Cafe, The University of Chicago and its hospitals, Chicago Public Schools, and Illinois Veterans Hospitals. Blue Planet Aquarium is also an industry leader in aquarium maintenance. We carry a full line of salt and freshwater aquarium supplies, with weekly shipments of salt and freshwater fish, marine corals, and invertebrates from around the world. Our 5 service crews cover the entire Chicagoland area, Wisconsin and Indiana. We also offer 24 Hour emergency service to our clients. The first visit went, well, swimmingly. Marco was friendly, knowledgeable, extremely personable and competent. He offered several suggestions for his next visit in a month.He said someone would call us to set a specific date. That was May 15. Today is July 10. Our poor fish are badly in need of a clean tank and new filters, but numerous phone calls and emails have gone unheeded. Calls from "existing customers" go to voice mail. I once tried a different prompt and got a live person in the business office who assured me that someone would call me back promptly. You can guess the rest.
Description of Work: Our longtime aquarium maintenance man died, so we turned to Blue Planet for, presumably, monthly service.

We love our custom built aquarium. It is a great "centerpiece" and always interesting to look at. We love that Blue Planet comes to clean and maintain the tank, brings food if we need it and change out the rocks and coral every month. It always looks a little bit different. The aquarium provides a tranquil feeling on both sides- the office and the dining room. The kids love to watch it while we eat and they love to take part in the nightly feeding. Blue Planet gave us many great ideas whe choosing where to install the aquarium and the spot is perfect. They helped with fish selection and how to take care of them. We are always excited to get a new fish and have a great variety of interesting fish and an eel. We continue to get compliments on our fish and aquarium from everyone who sees it.
Description of Work: Blue Planet installed an aquarium in our home and provides monthly maintenance. It is placed in between two rooms--an office and a dining room so you can see through one side into the other room.
