I responded to an Angie's List deal. After speaking to a representative of the company, I agreed to upgrade the deal to include another mover. I stressed the tight time frame due to the strict elevator limits in my new building. The night before the move, I got a reassuring call from the company, saying they would be at my place at 8:00 am sharp. The men showed up at 8:45. The crew was good, and worked non-stop, getting most of my things packed in 3 hours. In their haste, however, several glasses were broken, and my dryer was dented. The move in was merely a dump off, as both they and I just wanted the job done, so most unpacking was done by me. They guys were good about putting things in the right room, and took good care to avoid damage to both the common area walls and my condo itself. Overall, I would recommend a more traditional moving contract, where someone actually visits the home and writes up an estimate. That would have avoided the rush to try to do a 7 hour job in the 4 hours originally purchased in the Deal. Blankenship performed adequately given the constraints, but for a couple of hundred dollars more, I could have had a full-service move.

Blankenship Movers did a good job moving my household items from my old house to my new location. There were a couple of small items which were broken, but they resolved the issues to my satisfaction, and replied to me in a timely manner. Overall, I would probably choose a moving company closer to my location, should the need arise again in the future, but I purchased a Big Deal on Angie's List to use this moving company.

They showed up on time and worked quickly despite the hot humid weather.

The guys were prompt, professional and hardworking. They also secured all packages with extra tape, etc. It was an incredibly good deal. Would use them again.

The manager. Eric. was quite helpful in explaining the use of tie downs etc. The Budget rental did not have these, so the movers brought special rope and secured everything perfectly. Without their ingenuity, we would have had to purchase these on our own at an additional cost. Eric budgeted the double move at 5 hours to allow enough time, but the actual move was 4 hours and we were only charged for the time used. We are doing the final move in three weeks, and Blankenship and the same crew will do the move then. We estimate we will have saved 3500 by doing the move this way. The 3 men showed up on a timely basis with a truck ready to go. They promptly loaded the truck and we left for our home. When we arrived, all 3 guys worked hard to get our stuff where it belonged. They were very polite. and did as they promised.

It actually took 2.5 hours the longer portion was getting the furniture into the destination. I had some sharp turns up two flights of stairs so the time difference is understandable. Other people present were impressed as I was by how well everything everything was wrapped and covered with padding, and frankly they treated everything better than we would have if we moved it ourselves. It was worth the money and I'm glad I made the decision to do it. I would absolutely use Blankenship Movers movers again.

The movers did a great job on the move and were able to work around some issues with an over-sized fridge and some other problems with a narrow staircase at one end. They arrived on time and worked well as a team. I was a little disappointed that there was an extra charge for my spinet (sp?) piano. It is no larger than some of the appliances and I was charged $75 extra, two guys picked it up up fairly easily and walked it in. I guess the days of movers just charging per hour and per guy are over. There were other items that come with an additional charge, but I avoided that. The other movers I looked into using had the same charges. Other than that, I was very happy.

They were right on time, courteous, very helpful, and careful with our belongings.

Exceptional. It was a really tough job that the team executed well.

Overall we were very pleased. They showed up on time and worked very hard. We had difficulty getting a treadmill up the basement stairs (didn't realize they wouldn't take them apart due to the electronics panel), but they were persistent and managed to finally get it up the stairs with no damage. We even tipped them more at the end than we had originally intended because they did such a fantastic job.

It was pretty good. There was some damage done to the walls which I think could have been avoided. They did send someone in to repair it. They were on time and courteous but they were careless. I wouldn't say it was overall good. They had me put away the clothes that were in the garment boxes. I've labeled where each thing should go and they have a lot of things in the wrong rooms. They were good about the price.

The movers did okay. But the listing was wrong and they had an additional charge. They had an additional charge just for coming out to my location. It was for the distance. So, I wasn't very happy with that transaction. It was $40 extra.

BlankenshipMovers was a professional outfit with strong and fast workers. Communications leading up to the move was ongoing. There were no major issues...a few nicks on the iron bed. Although I expressed several times my desire for extra care with the bed, I didn't notice the gashes until after they'd left. The movers were friendly and seemed eager to please. I would use them again.

prepaid service.This company was excellent with communication. They had the info from Angie's list when I called, confirmed a move date and also called the day before. They then called en route, arrived on time and worked very efficiently.. They finished within the time on the schedule. I gave them a B for quality because they did c**** the drywall without telling me. Also, there is a ttransportation charge wihch is not part of the service. In the end, though, the work they accomplished and the care they took with the furniture was worth what we paid.

Tried to set up online through coupon but b/c we used a coupon for the same thing a few weeks earlier & it wasn't closed out we had to schedule it over the phone. Eric made the scheduling easy though & agreed to the same posted coupon rate. The movers called when they were 10 minutes away (close to on time) & didn't "start the clock" until the truck was backed up & in position to move. The contract was presented before any moving began (insurance, rate, etc.) They didn't show the coupon rate that we had agreed upon but once they called in to verify it, it was verified within 20 minutes or so. The movers stayed right at the scheduled 2 hour mark for the move and didn't damage anything. They were very nice and respectful and we will definitely call them again (for the 3rd move) next time.

Blankenship Movers arrived about 30 minutes early for our scheduled move. They were courteous, efficient and packed everything easily into their truck. They brought wardrobe boxes (free) and plastic to wrap furniture (which we didn't need, but it was nice they had it available). Once everything was secured, they drove into Chicago and met us at the condo, where they quickly and efficiently moved everything into our new space. They set up the beds and moved all of our furniture and boxes into the right rooms. The move was completed in less time than their estimate. The three movers were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely use them again. They made a stressful event almost stress free!

I called them up on Tuesday and thankfully, they had an opening on the next day. I scheduled them for 8am, but due to traffic they were about 15 minutes late - but I appreciate them calling to let me know that were running a little behind (which happens) and it actuality worked to my benefit because I was still moving a few things around. The (3) guys were professional and pleasant, and they finished the move in record time. I am very thankful for their service and the fact that Eric was able to schedule me in such short notice. I desperately needed to move and they solved a HUGE problem for me. Remember to tip the movers - they work very hard. :)

Overall the move went well. The movers were very careful and considerate. However, the move had two glitches: an underestimate of the time needed to pack for the move, and some damage on the newly refinished wood floor in the condo. Eric worked with me to resolve both concerns satisfactorily.

We were moving from a 4 bedroom home where we had lived for more than 15 years and the move was very involved with stuff collected over these years. The move involved a lot of packing that Blankenship team did for us as well as moving all the furniture and some boxes that we had packed. Overall a GREAT experience with Blankenship Movers. Right from the beginning, Eric was very professional and courteous to work with. He was also very flexible in rescheduling the move dates a couple of times due to delay in closing of my new house. Before the move we had a lot of questions and Eric was very responsive both on email and phone for all questions/clarifications that we had. On the day of the move, the team Santos, Jimmy O, Derrick, Carlo, Jose, Francisco, and Beto kept me informed on their arrival time and promptly arrived in the time window that was given to us. The entire team was very hard working, flexible and courteous during the entire moving process. As a lot of last minute things come up during the move and the entire team remained very responsive to those needs. They worked VERY hard through the day with a smile on their faces and always checking and asking before packing items or moving that weren't marked. Upon arrival at the new house again, we saw the flexibility as sometimes we were sure on which items will go where. They worked with us patiently in getting us all set up. We bought the 10 hour deal package through Angie's list which was a great deal and their additional hour charges were also reasonable. The team worked almost continuously without wasting any time which helped us manage our costs. We recommend Blankenship to anyone looking to move.

Definately would use them again. They were scheduled for an arrival between 3-5 and got a call after 2 asking if they could come early. Great! Had one issue of a small part of a lamp being lost which I may have actually have done, but Eric-office manager- was thorough and gave me some options to replace. My friends helping me unpack were impressed at how quick and courteous movers were and making sure everything was put in correct room. I have heard horror stories and was apprehensive since I have not moved in 25 years and I really breathed a sigh of relief. Eric did tell me price on Angie's list is for a move in the city but they do not start clock until they get to home in suburbs. His estimate was higher than my actual cost and was in the ball park and even lower than many of the other movers that contacted me-I went by Angies list reviews to choose them. I do want to mention that it was a huge relief to make a small deposit to hold my place. I was surprised when calling for quotes how far out they are booked. Great decision. Thank you.
