The movers were polite and very hard working. The time needed to complete the work did come in a bit over their original estimate so the price was a bit more than I expected. Also they did not cover the carpets well when they were moving in which caused them to get filthy but the company reimbursed me money to have them clean which is appreciated. Mistakes happen but companies that stand by their work and help make it right goes a long way.

It went very well. The price was very good and was the lowest quote. They did an excellent job.

This is the second time that I have used Blankenship Movers. I couldn't be happier with the service and price. The movers came out the Sunday after Thanksgiving to accommodate my move. The team was friendly and professional. None of my items were damaged or broken and I felt comfortable having them in my home. Eric the Sales Manager responded to my calls very promptly and was knowledgeable and friendly. I will definitely use them when I relocate to my final out of state location.

This is my second time using Blankenship movers. They are wonderful. They guys were on time both times and take great care with your items.

The movers showed up exactly when we had arranged. They began working very quickly and were professional and courteous. They made sure everything was taken care of and were careful with items marked 'fragile.' There was minor damage to one of our pieces of furniture but they handled fixing it and re-delivered the item when they said they would. Definitely would use again!

Absolute nightmare. The movers showed up 3 hours late and had to keep my property in their truck overnight because my new condo didnt allow moving after 7pm. Then the next morning they were almost 2 hours late. The entire time the movers were bringing things in they were complaining about how it would be too difficult to bring in certain items. They refused to take big items apart so they would fit in the elevator. One of the movers had a strong odor of marijuana mid way through the move. Then to top it all, one of the movers stole my laptop. I was working on emails while they were bringing things in. I left it on the couch to help them take my bed frame apart because they refused to do it. Once the bed frame was in i signed off that they were done and they left. I went back to the couch to continue working and my laptop was gone. I immediately called the company and they told me they were going to talk to them individually and let me know. In the meantime i called the police to file a report. I never heard back from Blankenship movers.

I was so nervous and anxious about moving with a lot of stuff and a lot of stairs. I figured any movers I got would take their sweet time and charge me for a lot of hours. Blankenship Movers are AMAZING!! They sent a team of 3 men who were friendly, experienced and FAST! They finished the job in THREE hours - I was shocked. They weren't out to rip me off, they wanted to do a good job and make sure I was happy! I AM! I would recommend them to anyone!!!

These guys are crazy fast. They come prepared with boxes, tools, wardrobe boxes,etc. They are careful with your belongings. And when you get to your new place they are very helpful in putting your boxes and your furniture in the exact spot you want. At my old place they even took a large heavy dresser that I didn't want out to the garbage. The pricing is upfront with no hidden charges. I tipped these guys because I was so happy. I would re-hire these guys again.

They were great we give them A's across the board. I would use them again if we still lived in the area.

We purchased the Angie's List Deal for $1800 to move from a 3 bedroom house, one suburb to another. They contacted us right away to schedule the move. The day before the move, the weather forecast said there were going to be thunderstorms on our move date, so I called Blankenship. They assured me that they move regardless of the weather. The day of the move, they arrived on time with 2 trucks and 4 crew members. The guys worked hard loading the trucks. They were enthusiastic and friendly. They treated the move like a work-out, which was refreshing and positive. When they were about half way through the unloading at the new house, it started to rain. The movers immediately stopped work since the crew chief said the ramp was too slippery. After about half an hour of rain, the crew chief Carl told us that it would probably be better to finish up the next day. However, it would cost us $300 for them to park the trucks overnight at their facility. This despite the fact that I called to spoke to the office staff the day before about rain, and spoke to Carl before the move started. In addition, they charged us $15 to shrink wrap a coach and $120 travel time. These charges should have been included in the Angie's List Deal. This issue (additional charges beyond the Deal price) was the biggest problem we had with them. Secondary problems were the damages. Furniture was gouged and our wood floors were scratched. it took more than a month to be compensated for the damages because of a lack of communication within the office. Eventually we were compensated.

This was the best moving experience we have ever had! Eric was fantastic to deal with and was so patient and accommodating through several date changes! Instead of making our whole situation a whole lot more stressful, he took worrying about the move off of our minds. Then, the move itself went so well! We appreciated all of the 7 guys who were there; they were respectful of us and our property, took great care to handle everything the correct way (while still being so fast) and we especially admired the way they worked as a team. They were always there to help each other and were so respectful of each other. In addition, during the times they were together, there was a lot of conversation and laughter going on between them (NEVER slowing them down). We had some really heavy pieces and we never heard any grumbling or complaining! Our last moving company experience ended with a lot of broken things and way more time than it should have (and way more expense), so we were a little apprehensive about this move. However, these guys did everything right! We couldn't be happier with how it all went! We would use them again and recommend them in a heartbeat!

We contracted this move through Angie's List.They told me a company rep would contact us that afternoon regarding details.When that didn't happen I called their contact number the next day to make sure we were scheduled being that it was a weekday and had to take off work.Eric answered and told me he was out of the office but assured me we were scheduled and they would arrive at 8 am Monday morning.We were up at dawn making sure everything was prepared to insure a smooth move.When they didn't show up by 9:00 I tried calling Eric and got his voicemail.I reached out to Angie's List(be aware if you don't have a paid membership they won't talk to you on the phone)and Eric called me back about 10 mins. later to tell me he had the wrong date(date was listed on the contract).He assured me we would have a great move and they would make it up to us on the end.About 15 minutes later his dispatcher called and said he alerted a crew and they would be on their way within an hour.At 11:45 I couldn't believe what showed up in my driveway.Three of the workers looked like they had just been released from rehab and the fourth(smallest one)did most of the work.Throughout the move they proceeded to exchange profanities,bounce our furniture down stairs and walk across it like stepping stones as they stacked it in the truck.It is a miracle the only structural damage they caused was breaking the leg off our china cabinet.Adding insult to injury they left all their packing garbage behind and their drink bottles in my driveway.Additionally,the contract was for a fixed price with NO EXTRA ADDITIONAL UPCHARGES,which is why we booked them.Upon reviewing our bill however,we were charged 150.00 for travel expense on a local move.When we called Eric to relay our experience we only got voicemail....and no callback!Keep in mind this company has been on Angie's for multiple years with a 4.5 star rating and we have to question ever using any of their venders again.

They were friendly and the lead guy was informative. They packed a lot for us and did a good job of packing. But I was surprised that they took 1.5 hours for lunch and only marked that they took 30 minutes on the final bill. They also unloaded the truck into our one apartment and would place boxes and furniture in the middle of a room. By the end we couldn't even walk into the rooms without moving a lot of boxes. I didn't understand why professional movers didn't know how to stack boxes neatly against walls. I really was hoping the Blankenship would have given us a satisfaction survey so we could help them improve in this area as it would be such a simple but huge improvement in their service.

It turned out well. It ended up costing a little bit more. They let me know what the charges were going to be upfront. That was not an issue or anything. There were three people that came out to move. They were all friendly and they were also conscientious about wrapping mattresses and that sort of thing. They were careful with the move.

Good move. See above. Guys were fit, fast and friendly. Communication was good. I would recommend but stress they need to be on time, especially as they charge for travel.

We have used Blankenship over 8 times in the last 10 years for various family members and have never been disappointed! You get exactly what they tell you with no surprises! Recommend them strongly!

The movers arrived on time and immediately got to work. The four man crew made short work of the apartment and got to the storage facility quickly. Even having to work around the size of the elevator, both units were emptied and loaded on the truck...including the piano...within an hour of arrival. Upon arriving at the new house, they quickly and efficiently unloaded into proper rooms (when I had remembered to mark them) and asked for and responded to direction on the fly. They even helped get a bedroom set inside that had been delivered earlier. Incredibly helpful and very good at their jobs. Could not have been happier. All this into a house that was still being painted...without a scratch. The entire job came in under the initial estimate for cost and time. I cannot strongly enough recommend the experience Blankenship provided.

Our move couldn't have gone any better. We moved a town-home's worth of belongings from Chicago to Wisconsin and had Blankenship do a full pack. Over three days the amazing crew led by Brian packed boxes and wrapped our furniture with blankets and shrink wrap (5 hours on Wednesday), loaded the trucks on Thursday (4-5 hours), left the items on the trucks securely overnight, and best of all delivered the items right on time on Friday (they were even 2 hours early and just hung out until I called them and were at our new house within 20 minutes). Did I mention they were on time all three days and performed with high efficiency? The main crew of Brian, Ronnie, Louis and Vic were exceptionally friendly, polite, and professional. We just finished unpacking everything and literally nothing was broken (even our extra large 6' tall queen size bed headboard made it out and in without a scratch on it or the walls). I could go on and on about how amazing it was, and the price was really reasonable for the work and professionalism that was displayed (we paid a flat rate for packing and moving to avoid any disagreements about paying by the hour and it was really worth it). Scheduling was a breeze too, as Eric was very friendly and responsive over the phone and email. I honestly don't know why you would use anyone else.

Overall went well, crew was punctual and efficient. Unfortunately several pieces of wood furniture were scratched and showed minor damage after the move.

The move went well, and the movers did an excellent job. Ronnie (sp) and his crew did great, I would use those three men again. I used a special on Angie's List for this move, it was 330.00 for a truck, 3 men and two hours of time. I really needed to make an effort to confirm movers were coming date/time. This isn't "negative" feedback I just didn't expect that I'd be the one calling and confirming. I spoke to two different men about the point A and point B of the move. When I spoke to the second man, he mentioned a 30.00 travel fee out of the city. I told him I wasn't aware of this and he honored the 330.00 versus 360.00 that would have been the mentioned out of city travel time. The movers were careful with items, when loading and when moving into the house. Nothing but accolades to the movers. As far as the two men I spoke to they seemed like hands on operators versus having people who answered their phones..so locking it in was just a small effort on my part.

The experience was far better than I had hoped. The crew was punctual, professional, and very efficient. They completed our move within their quoted time and price, despite some home closing delays on our end. I would highly recommend Blankenship Movers.

They sent a team of 3 men. They arrived and evaluated what was to be moved from my 2nd floor apartment, backyard and garage. Went right to work and everything went smoothly!! My daughter was amazed at how fast everything was loaded and unloaded at her new apartment!! We would recommend Blankenship Movers to everyone we know for moving in Chicago!!
