This company provided me with EXCELLENT service from the time I called to the time to perform the job. The (2) movers took very care in moving these appliances and I truly appreciated it. They had the right equipment as well. I would DEFINITELY hire this company again for my moving needs. They get an A+++++++++ from me.

It went really well! They sent three men to help with my move. They were very kind and courteous, and were very responsive to some special needs we had (moving an expensive and fragile bed, a number of antique furniture pieces). The actual time came in at the low end of the quote, even though they individually wrapped (with blankets and industrial saran wrap) each piece of furniture. Before the move, Shawn (Sean? Shaun?) was very helpful in coordinating and planning my move. He even special ordered some custom mattress boxes for us! After the move, we found that the hinges on one of the back doors had pulled off, preventing the door from closing. Even though it was likely not their fault, they promptly sent someone out to repair it for us.

It was ok, not great, a lot of rushing, packing did not really pay attention to details on what to include into which boxes.

This is the first move in which I have been able to convince my husband to use a moving company. After this experience, we mutually agree to never do so again. I specifically scheduled our move in mid-July for first thing in the morning to avoid a late arrival on the part of the movers and unexpected delays. The crew still showed up 45 minutes late; after several calls, I finally was in touch with them, and they claimed their delay was in getting the truck. Eric (the owner) had estimated our move could take up to five hours given that we were moving into a walk-up. Our crew of three did take a full five hours, but the delay was actually in loading the truck which was disappointing. Loading the truck took almost 2.5 hours--when they arrived, the lead had estimated 1.5. In loading the truck, then they broke a glass lampshade which they immediately noted on our bill as being reimbursable. Despite follow up with Eric (the manager) in which I spoke with him over the phone about dimensions and emailed a picture, he has yet to either replace our lampshade or reimburse us for the replacement value. Once we arrived at our walk-up, the crew did a reasonable job getting our things up the stairs in a timely manner. I understand that a situation without an elevator is not ideal, but I was also disappointed by the fact that they refused to move things into the correct rooms despite labels on our boxes. When they left, we had piles of boxes in the dining room which then had to be moved around our new place and into basement storage in some cases. The real reason for the poor rating, however, is within the following days, I discovered that in wrapping up a jewelry case, the crew had taken 5 items of the highest value that were stored there, including jewelry from my wedding, which is irreplaceable. In two weeks of follow up and back and forth with Eric, he refused to acknowledge that this was even possible claiming that his crew would never do something like that. We were offered no compensation or even an apology. There is another Angie's List review from the same time period also involving theft--you be the judge for yourself whether or not you can trust the crew that this company will send to you.

Mostly well. They worked very hard.

This company is amazing! You'd be doing yourself a disservice if you don't use them. They called to let me know when they were about a half hour away (right in the window I was given). We had three guys move us from one 3rd floor walk-up to another 3rd floor walk-up. They were fast, efficient, and friendly. I was dreading moving day so much, but they made it so easy on us. I would recommend them in a heart beat!

Overall, it was okay. The job got done, and we definitely could not have done it by ourselves. 2 of the 3 men were very pleasant. 1 was a little salty and gruff, but he got a ton of work done. I was disappointed that when I pointed out the fact that they had made a dent in the wall, they acted surprised and didn't seem to take it very seriously. I feel as though they should have documented it and taken photos themselves instead of telling me to take photos and follow up through email. Eventually they sent out a repair man to fix the dent, which I was happy about. I was also happy that they tried very hard to fit all of our things into our paid storage unit so that we didn't have to pay for a larger unit. That was very much appreciated.

It was a great experience from the moment I called for an estimate until the move was done. We downsized from a 3200sf, first floor condo to a 2200sf, third floor walk-up unit - 4 beds, 3 1/2 baths to 3 beds, 2 baths. (Our son just got his own place, so essentially everything moved with us, except for his bedroom.) We have a number of heavy, awkward items, including a baby grand piano, 8'x4' farmhouse table that doesn't break down, two large armoires, desks, etc. All of our stuff was handled with extreme care for the entire job. They were also careful not to mar or damage either property. Packing took an entire day, with loading/unloading the next. Both days started early for the guys; they were at our home between 8:30a and 9:30a both days, including being stuck in highway traffic due to a major accident on day 2. They checked in with us regularly to update their etas both days. General Manager Eric Seiler was fantastic to work with on pricing and scheduling. The crews were personable, professional, and fun the whole time. This is impressive considering that they did not unload the last item - the heavier armoire - until midnight! Overall excellent service. I could not recommend Blankenship Movers more highly.

I can't say enough good things about this company. My husband and I have moved several times in 34 years and used several moving companies. Blankenship by far is so superior to any moving company we have ever used. From beginning to end - Eric, our move team, especially Brian and Al and Rudy were all professional and did QUALITY work. Pricing couldn't have been easier. Eric did a flat rate which made my budgeting so much easier. This was a very difficult move for us, leaving family and friends. Be cautious of this company having so many positive reviews and so few negative reviews. I just received a call from Sean with Blankenship Movers asking if there was anything he could offer me to remove my negative review. I told him that I wasn't interested, that I relied on reviews when picking a company and that others do as well-- and that people should know about the awful experience we had with his company.

Gave us Bed Bugs - The actual movers were great but this company doesn't take precautions to prevent the spread of bed bugs and they LIE when they have a problem. I don't have the energy to fully explain all the details about the owner Eric and how unprofessional he was with my husband. WE GOT BEDBUGS from their moving truck. Long story short when the movers arrived my husband told me this " where the heck did you find these movers there is bugs all over the blankets in our room". I brushed him off thinking he was being difficult because I found the movers. Turns out there was bugs and these bugs were BED BUGS and they wrapped our $1500 mattress in their blankets that had bed bugs on it. The movers alerted me when they got to our new home that there were bugs crawling on our mattress and I immediately told them to take the mattress out of my house. I called the owner Eric who wasn't available and sent the mattress and back to him(the owner of Blankenship) for him to see for himself. Problem is all of our stuff was on that truck. We had all new bedroom furniture delivered that day (previously ordered) and a new mattress later that week (ordered because they contaminated ours) but we still managed to get BED BUGS in our home (probably because all the boxes on the truck were exposed to bed bugs). The owners immediately started blaming us then finally after long arguments offered us $200 for a new mattress (depricated value according to Eric) but he would only give it as long as we didn't post anything derogatory about them online. What more, they now refuse to discuss further with us because my husband and Eric had a disagreement. We have to have our NEW HOME exterminated for $2,000 on Thursday October 5th because of this company. SAVE YOUR MONEY THEY RENT TRUCKS AND HAVE NO IDEA WHAT WAS ON THE TRUCK AND THEY GAVE US BED BUGS. It took about 4 weeks for us to discover that we had them. We moved in Aug 17 and its Sept 25th and we see them now. Never had them before this move but have them now in our brand new home. Spend the extra dollar for a moving company that follows the Department of Health rules.

They were fantastic and they were nothing but the best.

Also if you have things that don't fit into a box or are odd shaped they wrap up everything and help you get through the move.They wrapped up our furniture and help us with the "wardrobers" for our clothes and the TV's etc. we liked our crew so much, we requested the same guys for the move in as well!

It was a disaster. The crew arrive 1.5 hours late. Crew members starting rushing to wrap and move items which resulted in banging walls and doorways. In their haste to get caught up, they did not properly wrap or protect items which resulted in damage. Where it was required to lift items they dragged them instead. This resulted in breaking the top section of a custom deigned and built entertainment center. The foreman said I could drill out the broken wood dowels, get new wood dowels and wood glue and it wood be okay. In addition, by sliding the base of the entertainment center instead of lifting it they broke of most of the bottom glides. They dragged mattresses which resulted in dirt, grease and damage along with wood splinters to (5) mattresses. The broke the leg off a custom dining room chair, never told us and tried to conceal it by wrapping stretch wrap film and tape around. We found this a couple of days after the move when I went to remove the packing. The foreman gave us the paperwork which I had him note all of the damage we had found and he told us to call their claims department and they would take care of all of this. The foremen also gave a speech about tipping the crew, which I found to be very unprofessional. There where other items that were damaged that we noticed after the movers had left. I contacted both owner who gave a bunch of rhetoric about what is normal damage experienced in moves and how great their average was. They then told mold they were only obligated to pay me $0.30/LB for damages since I did not take the extra insurance. Why do I need extra insurance if they are really that good. Eric said we signed the contract and that meant we agreed to the terms. We never received a contract up front to review. The only paperwork we were given was the document we signed when they were done. After seeing the review that we posted, to show go faith, they were willing to give us $250.00 if we would retract our review. I told them to keep it and to go take a course on Customer Service Satisfaction. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

I didn't go over the 3 hours but was charged extra for moving items outside of city limit. This was not disclosed. The movers were good but they hung around after the move expecting a tip.

The movers were helpful and very quick. The storage option was nice. One price made it easy. All materials were included.

Very well. Jose, Noah and their crew were punctual, professional, courteous. They took the job seriously and worked hard to get us moved in the time frame we were quoted. This was the BEST price quote by over $800 to the next lowest quote. Definitely a bargain, but quality as well.

It went ok, guys were nice, but you could tell they were in a rush to do the job as quickly as possible even though we had pre-paid for 4 hours of service. They ran over one of our outdoor lights in the garden - this light was very expensive and hard-wired in, not just a cheapo solar fixture you buy at home depot. All in all, the move was accomplished in a timely manner and the guys doing the move were courteous. But I'm not too pleased when at the end of our stuff being loaded onto the truck I'm told that the standard tip per guy is $100. Especially when we paid for 4 hours of service and the move was done in less than half the time, things broken, and they had showed up more than 30 minutes late. I would not hire again for the flat rate.

The crew was friendly, they hustled like crazy and were very fun to work with. Even though it took much longer than we all anticipated because of the tons of stuff we had, we all worked to get it done with little time to spare, and we were on the road. Because there were a few common bumps along the way (treacherous mountains and inclement weather), Eric did everything he could to make it right. They arrived the day we needed them there and they hustled to get everything in and in the right place. Kudos to Alfredo and Matt for going above & beyond the call of duty!

The move was just fine. They were on time, quick and efficient. The only problem we had was when the company wrote down the incorrect the address but as soon as they figured it out they called my daughter for the correct address. They did not charge us anything extra for the mishaps. We were generally happy overall they were supposed to wrap our mattresses up in plastic but they did not and they tried to use an old blanket but they did wrap our box springs. I had them find some plastic to wrap the mattresses and I stood there the entire time until it was wrapped properly. I insisted a couple times for them to find the wrapping and cover the mattresses because one guy continued to say they did not have any more but one of the other employees did find it and got the job done. 2 of the guys were more courteous and they corrected any issue I brought up.
