Description of Work: Used a 50% service call offer from Angie's list based on good reviews. I was not impressed. I asked to have a boiler maintenance service and examine steam radiators. Technician took the panel off the boiler and basically told me, "Your boiler is really old." Gee, thanks, I guess that's why I want to have it maintained properly. Didn't provide much of an inspection, and gave ballpark estimates on some other related work (nothing in writing).

Description of Work: They installed a new furnace and air conditioning system for our condo. Joe was very prompt and professional in helping us understand the HVAC options we had. We did experience one major problem - the A/C unit froze up on the first night after installation. I called Joe in the morning and he immediately had a technician schedule an appointment to come back out and correct the problem. All seems to be working fine now.

Description of Work: I bought a half price deal for A/C service check. It was for a rental place that I have and the tenant was the one who dealt with the technician. Technician came out and checked unit, said the outside unit needed to be cleaned and the tenant had not changed the filter. So technician cleaned outside unit and told tenant what filter to buy. That helped, but did not do the trick. So The tenant called them back and technician went back to the condo. Called me to make sure adding refrigerant was okay and gave me an estimated price for it. Price seemed to be the standard pricing for that type of refrigerant. Finished the job and then a week later I got a call from them asking for my contact so they could sent the invoice. Besides the coupon deal I bought, I was only charged for the refrigerant.

Description of Work: I had called to have the vents, which I had alreay purchased, replaced on 6 radiators. I had called around to several companies, most of which were going to charge $90/hour to do the work, some were going to charge just for the estimate. Joe had come to give me a free estimate, but once he saw that I had all the supplies, said that he used to be an installer too, went out to his car and got his tools and not only did he change the 6 vents, but showed me how to do it for the future and finished in less than 30 and did the work for free. No wonder Besco has the best ratings W/ Angie's LIst!
