Description of Work: I bought the Angie's List Deal for Besco for AC check-up. Within a few hours had sent me an email and left a voicemail about scheduling. We found a date, but when I had to change it because of sick kids, it was super easy and not a problem to reschedule. | |Today, Dawn came in on time (calling when she was 15 minutes out). She was great. She walked me through each step of what she was doing--what she was looking for, what I should be looking for, things to keep an eye on going forward, how to be good about maintenance to head off major issues, etc. She was AMAZING in terms of teaching me about the HVAC system as a whole, how to maintain it (both the AC and furnace). She even explained why we might be having problems with some of the cooling/heating on our top floor, and suggested having one of her colleagues come out who design HVAC systems to at least present us with possible solutions. But she did it without being pushy or overbearing. Similarly she informed me about the service plans Besco offers, without being pushy, just more of an FYI this is what we can do on a year round or 3 year contract, etc. | |In short, Dawn was great, and the overall experiences with Besco was great. would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an HVAC company. |

Description of Work: Peter showed up on time and helped me get to the bottom of the problem - it was the thermostat that was bad, not the furnace/AC blower unit. He spent a bit of time on the phone with the technical services rep for the thermostat manufacturer and, between the two of them, they were able to eliminate any other possible causes of the problem and determine that it was a faulty thermostat. | |Since the unit was still under warranty, I was able to return it for a new one AND the manufacturer (when I asked them to) paid for my service call. "Free" new thermostat and "free" service appointment. It was my lucky day!

Description of Work: My garage wasn't working and they fixed it in a matter of 10 minutes with new rollers.

Description of Work: The Besco technician checked out our "runaway" gas furnace boiler and determined it needed a new gas valve. The old one was over 50 years old! He installed a new Honeywell valve and rewired it to meet modern codes and installed a new thermocouple and set the Aquastat and other checks. He explained everything as he was working on the furnace. Looks and runs great now! Thanks Patrick and Besco!
