The overall experience was great. My allotted time was from 9-12. Jim arrived at 9. He not only inspected and cleaned my furnace, he explained why it was important and how to make sure I get the most efficient use of the furnace. Jim also went up to the roof and made sure the air conditioner was clean and not collecting debris. He was extremely personable and considerate in my home. He even called me on his way out of the building to let me know there were door-to-door solicitors ringing the buzzers.

Our furnace was not cycling on and we called on Sunday fearing it would take a long time to get someone to our home. The technician called us back within 30 minutes and indicated he would be there within the hour. He actually was there in 25 minutes. He very quickly found the problem - water leaking from the humidifier into the furnace and causing the system to fail. He corrected the problem and then said as he was going to have to charge us for a service call, he would go ahead and clean the sensor and checking the wiring and other settings for no additional charge.

Great. Jim came in and cleaned our system and made sound recommendations on how we can keep our HVAC system running at top performance all the time.

My radiant floor heater was not working properly, the floors were cold even though the thermostat was set at 75. The following day the heater was making an odd sound so we turned it off. That night we no longer had running hot water, since it seemed to coincide with the heater being shut off, we turned it back on. The following morning, we still had no hot water. I place a call with Besco at 7:30 am, I always find the receptionist to be friendly and accommodating. I asked for an early morning appointment & the repairman arrive by 9 am. He diagnosed the problem, the pump was malfunctioning and the water was not circulating. The radiant heater supplies the hot water to heat the coils for the hot water heater so both systems were effected by the pump not working. He had the replacement part available and promptly completed the work. After completion of the work, I was given an overview of how the system operates. I feel they are reasonably priced, competent and easy to work with. I would recommend this company.

I highly and enthusiastically recommend this company. My heat went out on the coldest day of the year (so far). I called a heating company a friend recommended and they sent out a fairly junior person who seemed unsure of what the problem was. He tried a few things and ended up recommending that a supervisor come back the next morning but said the boiler probably needed to be replaced. After a very cold night, I realized I felt a little uncomfortable about the fact that this guy really didn t seem confident. I looked at reviews on Angie s list and called Besco and explained the situation. The owner of the company got on the phone and said he could come right over and take a look. He immediately realized the problem and recommended a new boiler and arranged to have a team that was working on a project in their shop come over that day. Based on what I saw on-line, the pricing was very competitive. In fact, when I called the original company to let them know I didn t require their services, they asked how much I was paying, for which model, etc., the guy was silent on the other end of the phone it didn t seem they were willing to offer a more competitive deal in any case. I now have heat, yeah! Everyone I interacted with was friendly and professional and I will definitely make Besco my go-to company if I have any heating or AC problems.

Bessco was one of four companies I asked to Bid on replacing the GFA. I found Joe the salesman very responsive, punctual, knowledgeable about the industry, and willing to work to get the Job. He followed up after the initial quote with a phone call. The job was scheduled four days after the bid was accepted. Crew arrived on time, work was completed in a shorter time than initially projected. Area was clean. The crew explained the system, and went over the operations manual.

It went well, I was very pleased. Had 5 estimates, stuck with them.

I liked Jim's attitude toward service. I am looking forward to building a relationship with this company.

Salesperson was friendly, nice. Price was highest of 4 others, with less details to work order and a lower quality unit.

Jim showed up on time and explained what he was doing, gave advice on the general state of the boiler room. He took measurements for building and installing a new air intake filter for the furnace because the previous yahoos had installed the furnace with one.

They were very detailed in their estimate and answered all my questions promptly. The installers were very professional and careful in their work. Their clean-up on both days was excellent.

Jim met with me and scheduled the work within a couple of days of my contract acceptance. The 2 installation people put down cloth along the pathway to the furnace room. To replace the old R22 with the new R410A system the installer cut a small hole in the wall. Was very satisfied with the installation.

They beat the pants off their competitor. I highly recommend them. They are very professional and top notch. They gave me 6 months of free financing. They were absolutely outstanding.

All of this started when a squirrel got into our house through the flue pipe running up our chimney. What started out as a search for a chimney cap turned into a search for someone who could repair our crumbling chimney and our aging boiler. Jim showed a keen understanding of what our relatively small house would need and displayed his knowledge in a friendly and professional manner. (But he went beyond that. He not only recommended someone to repair the chimney, but made the contact and arranged for the estimate.) The Besco Air two man team was friendly and worked efficiently. Jim came out on both days of the job to inspect the work. I've used this company before and their services demonstrate competence and fairness. I will continue to use them in the future.

All done quickly and professionally. Jim said he will come back when it is warm enough to test the air conditioner.

Company was very professional during phone contacts, estimation visit, pre-install visit and installation. Addressed one of major concerns: noise. Our main intake is in our only family room and noise was a problem. Besco (A-Plus) helped us choose a quieter furnace unit that still met our capacity needs and our cost level. Besco also lined our main intake duct to help reduce noise. Installers were able to fit all elements into our very limited space. Our previous furnace installers said they could not adjust our ducts to allow access to our electronic air cleaner. This forced us to dismantle duct work every time we had to change a filter. WHAT A PAIN! Besco customized duct work so we would have access to our filter unit. WHAT AN IMPROVEMENT! Installers were punctual, clean and thorough. Laid down tarps and cleared garbage. They instructed us on proper usage and addressed all of our questions and concerns. We also received a $125 Trane rebate for using Angie s List.

They are very reliable. They give a time frame and come within that time, they are always friendly, they do their job and very neat.

Jim Cox is the owner and lead man on the job. He was very responsive to our needs and made at least four visits to our home prior to our decision to go with him. We had a special situation to resolve and Jim took the time with us to research the best possible solutions. All the other contractors made only one visit, told us our special situation was "no problem", and gave their proposal. Most we never heard from again. Jim and his people were very polite and respectful of our home. They were neat and cleaned up after they were done. We enthusiastically recommend A Plus.

A+ was among several companies to bid for the work. They were quick to provide an estimate, less expensive, knowledgeable and professional. The removal of old mechanicals and installation of the new ones was done in one day by a team of two although some adjustments were necessary. They efficiently protected the floor and were careful when moving the heavy equipments. They clearly know their job. Everything works fine and meets expectations.

Jim was prompt, courteous and very knowledgeable. Not only did he handle a serious furnace issue appropriately, but he gave me helpful advice on how to get someone to do the chimney work that he was not able to do. He also knew why we were having other problems with our heating and air, so we went with a service contract with him and have been very happy with the service he has provided.

BESCO WAS PROMPT RETURNING PHONE CALLS AND PUNCTUAL AT OUR MEETING TIME. THEY SCORED POINTS BY CHARGING LESS THAN THEIR QUOTE. THEY LOST POINTS BY NOT CLEANING UP (THEY LEFT CHUNKS OF SOOT AND DEBRIS ALL OVER) AND BY NOT REALLY EXPLAINING WHAT THEY WERE DOING. THEY SEEMED ANNOYED WHEN I ASKED FOR DETAILS ABOUT THEIR SERVICE AND THE CONDITION OF MY EQUIPMENT. A LITTLE MORE INFORMATION AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL WOULD HAVE BEEN APPRECIATED. IF I HIRE THEM IN THE FUTURE, I WILL CAUTION THEM TO BRING A VACUUM AND BE PREPARED TO USE IT. THE CHOICE TO USE THEM IN THE FUTURE WOULD BE DRIVEN BY PRICE, NOT BY PROFESSIONALISM.
