They were very professional and helped me make an appointment for someone to come out and give me an estimate for replacing the unit. When they came out for the estimate they were again extremely professional and helpful.

After moving into our new house (new to us at least) we were so disturbed to disco er that our AC unit was leaking water. We called Besco, and the receptionist told us to buy this angie's list deal for an initial service and not only were they punctual, Glenn actually called and said he had a cancelation, so could be at our house early. (Which is a good thing when you have a pool of water on the floor!) Glenn was professional, helpful, fixed our inital problem (which involves incorrect instalation, not even a broken AC) and talked with us AT LENGTH about not only our AC but also our boiler, etc. He recommended that we have their engineer come out, and Ed was even MORE helpful. He really worked with us to find an affordable solution, and we are planning on having them do some custom duct work for us. TL;DR - quick, responsive, all their service people seem above board and knowledgeable.

Spoke to Teresa at Besco, and she set up an appointment with the technician for late the next day to repair my central A/C. She also asked if I would be available earlier in the event of a cancellation. I said "Yes." Thanks to a cancellation, Teresa advised the next day that the technician could come earlier. Great. Then Glenn the technician called and advised he was 15 minutes away. I picked Besco not only because of the Angies List rating but also because it is a Trane dealer. My central air is Trane and about 20 years old with R22 refrigerant. As many know, these systems are no longer allowed in the US, and if I experience a serious failure, I must replace the entire system at great cost. I'm retired and motivated to keep it going as long as I can. Glenn arrived and diagnosed the problem in a heartbeat and repaired it. The same part failed about seven years ago, and the technician from the service I had used for years required three visits to repair the issue. Glenn had the part in his van. Glenn installed 1 lb of R22 refrigerant at a cheaper price than another service company had quoted to me when its technician serviced my heating system during last fall. I almost boil over when I think about about the incredible cost imposed on us by the government when it banned R22 refrigerant. R22 went from $1 a pond or so to over $100. (A diatribe for another day.) Besco's name and number is now on my refrigerator for A/C service.

The services were all completed adequately and efficiently. It cost about $700 for a couple parts and about an hour and a half of work. I think this is about normal. I would probably shop around to see if I could find something a bit cheaper in the future, but provided that cheaper doesn't exist, I'd call Besco again. They were professional and efficient.

Used to Service Call Deal for the Besco Air to fix a nagging issue with my air conditioner not working at times. Had it attempted to be fixed by another vendor, but problem still kept coming back. Besco technician, replaced wiring in multiple spots at the thermostat and furnace. AC working ever since. Tech had multiple ideas on what to fix if the issue comes back, including some that we can try ourselves. I'll be switching my AC yearly check-ups to Besco now. Only complaint is that it was over a week to schedule, but it is the busy season, so this is not unlike other experiences I've had during the busy summer season in Chicago.

They put in the unit, made sure the base was rebuilt, and they moved it over to give it better placement in the closet.

Used an online coupon for the service call, and they were able to schedule work for the same afternoon. Prompt, friendly and efficient. Paid on the spot with a credit card without any additional service charge, which is a major plus. Thank you for such great service...we will surely call you again!

Joe Pedota is the cat's pjs! Seriously, he is. We've owned four other homes and have had several heating and A/C service firms and contractors over the years, but from the perspective of really providing a thorough and concise process of identifying our issues and addressing them, we've never had the pleasure of dealing with anyone like Joe and Besco Air. We moved into this condo in December. It has 15' high ceilings and two of the bedrooms have outside walls of exposed brick. Sounds pretty, doesn't it? It is, but we immediately discovered that those two bedrooms could be as much as 10 degrees colder than the rest of the apartment - a huge difference! We contacted three or four other HVAC contractors. Each proposed a different solution - some nearly as much as $10,000 to $12,000. Some suggested the addition of electric baseboard heat. Some suggested something called a "mini-split" system. Others said we needed more returns. But in each of these solutions, the contractors failed to adequately explain the whys and wherefores of their proposed systems, aside from a few off-the-cuff comments. We were underwhelmed and confused. We found Besco Air on Angles List and brought them in to offer their assessment. Joe took an initial look around and he made a few notes. Then he explained that he would need to do a more extensive study of the air flow in our place. He explained that our issues related to a combination of things that had more to do with air flow and air pressure. Then he took 90 minutes taking measurements and made a very detailed drawing of our place, the visible ducts, the location of registers, returns, walls, doors, etc. He told us he would plug the hand drawing into a software program that was a bit like a CAD (Computer Aided Design) program for HVAC contractors to enable his engineering staff to assess whether our existing furnace was sized properly. Ultimately, Besco recommended we replace our cheap, contractor-grade, single stage furnace with a high efficiency, two-stage variable speed model from Trane. Not only would the new furnace be quieter (and it is! our old furnace sounded like a 747 and we're barely aware of the new one when it's running, most of the time) , but it would cost us much less to run and it would provided much more even heating and cooling. The installers showed up about a week later and they finished the job in about 7 hours, left no mess, and were polite and unobtrusive. The result: we have a very quiet, efficient solution that cost us much less than nearly all of the contractors we queried. We haven't had any sub-zero weather since we installed the system and we may not be able to fully assess the new furnace until next winter. We may ultimately have to have some of the ducts re-designed. We will only use Besco Air to do the work. We really wouldn't trust anyone else.

It went just fine. It went very well as expected. They inspected the air conditioning unit and changed out a couple of filters and they noticed a couple of hoses that needed to be sealed with some plumber's tapes so they got it all done. They were an A.

The 50% off coupon doesn't mention that it only includes the first 15 minutes of labor. The hourly rate is $95 per hour. Otherwise, they were on time and professional.

Received quotes from 5 different dealers. Ed arrived punctually for our first appointment and evaluated our home and was able to promptly provide us different cost & efficiency alternatives suitable to our needs. He introduced his company and explained how all their employees are full-time (not contractors) - something that my wife & I highly value on any business and believe worth the extra cost. Do to the compressor being located on the roof above our master bedroom and the furnace & blower being in the bottom level by the guestroom, it was very important for us to get multi-stage variable speed units to reduce the noise levels for comfort and also provide an more even and efficient heating/cooling in the different levels of the home. This resulted on us selecting a higher end unit. There was a very large price discrepancy between the competing quotes - some of them due to lower quality brands & others due to their use of contractors. BescoAir was initially the highest bid, and Ed (with some delay) was able to provide a small discount to placing them slightly less then another dealer for the same equipment. We selected BescoAir for the small price advantage (over the runner-up), their higher ratings, a positive review from my neighbor, and the fact that they are located somewhat nearby - being more readily available for any sudden issues. Their technicians arrived promptly on installation day, were very professional and courteous and were able work around some difficulties caused by the original wiring of the home - requiring to cut some small holes in the wall to run a new wire thru the sub-floor. My only disappointment with BescoAir was that on the day of service the installers were (very understandingly) concerned about their safety (due to the height of my home) and requested that they use a crane to raise the new unit (something that the runner-up bidding company had already included on their quote) resulting in a last-minute cost increase where BescoAir would not won the original bid (when compared a dealer with longer labor warranty for the same equipment units - crane included.) But so far I am happy with the final product and hope that with this proper installation, my new HVAC will be reliable, trouble-free and prove to be worth its cost.

The main technician and his assistant were both extremely courteous and friendly. They shared a lot of interesting information about the heater and some of the things they were investigating to be the cause of the problem. They even helped me unclog one of my faucets! Overall, they were a great service. I'd definitely use them again and may be doing so to replace a water heater that they priced for me on the spot.

Service guy was great, as was the sales manager. Everyone at the company responded very quickly and followed up at every juncture. This was on a rental property, but we will now use them for our own home.

Everyone was very professional. The techs were clean and polite. The staff is very supportive. They filed for a rebate from the gas company for me and also registered my equipment. Everyone I interacted with was polite and knowledgeable.

It was fine. What I liked was that they were expedient. They came out and they were here when they said they would be. It was affordable. They did what they needed to do and nothing more. It turned out just fine. The air conditioner is still working great. It was good. I did spend a little more. It was $20.

Besco originally came out to inspect our 25 year old furnace which was having issues, after a brief review there were a few parts that needed replacing; but rather than spend money on repairs knowing the furnace was probably on its last leg anyway, we decided to purchase a new one. Ed came over later that day to run through some of their offerings, he was very professional and informative; NOT an annoying pushy salesman. We did some research our own and determined we could have potentially saved a few bucks with some other groups, but because we have a new baby, we wanted to make sure everything was done in a timely fashion - and Besco was able to have installers at our place just 2 days after we placed the order. Ed even stopped by as they were installing to make sure everything was going smoothly. Besco was great to deal with from start to finish, and in the future we'll definitely use them again.

It was fine. I thought they're fine. I think they arrived a little late. I thought they did a decent job. I don't really have anything particular. I would recommend them.
