The contractor was very nice and explained everything to me about the functioning of the HVAC unit. Also advised that I change the igniter every 5 years. He showed me that the existing igniter was turning white in color, which is not good and causes most of the HVAC units to stop working. He gave me valuable tips on doing preventive maintenance and what to do if I ever see smoke from the unit. I will certainly call them for future servicing appointments. I feel very satisfied and safe knowing that they will work on my HVAC unit in the future. I highly recommend Besco Air Heating & Cooling.

This was a big deal purchase. It went okay; it went good. I had to pay another $40 above the price of the deal just for them to take a look at it and then they charged me for the repair. When they came and tested it they said the board was wrong. They charged me to replace that as well as pricing me another flat rate after they took the blower apart and discovered they had to replace the fan. Their pricing is not really good. They could have explained to me what the price would be and how they were doing it. I would have understood it better. I felt like they nickel and dimed me. The work was fine, it was okay; I have no complaints. So far everything looks good.

Not well. The repairman wasn't sure how to work the heater, and asked me multiple times if I had the owner's manual. Needless to say, he didn't get it working. He told me I should just buy a new one. I looked online for what a new one costs, and the company wanted to charge me 3x that for the heater and installation. Even though I had contacted the company via Angie's list, they didn't mention any promotions that were going on, including one with a half off s service call, so I'm out even more money. I wish I could get a refund.

This was a big deal purchase and it was not good. They just did not have the filter than that they needed to change so they asked my wife to go out and buy it and come back. She did not know which one and got the wrong one. It was really expensive. The whole experience with them didn't go well. They came out shortly after I purchased the deal. They did not have the crucial filter to service out thing.

Sergio came and explained everything very carefully. And after fixing the problem he made sure that there weren't any other possible issues. I found him very honest and would definitely recommend. The company also squeezed us into their schedule when they saw that they had an earlier opening. Great Work! Look at their yelp reviews-- it looks like everyone finds them very fair for prices, honest, and competent. We've now had this company come in for a furnace tuning. We should have waited for Sergio. Not all the technicians are the same. the service man was ok, but he just wasn't as informative and was trying to push us to add a condenser to our heating system. Then we had an estimate. We still haven't received it.

After our furnace stopped working Black Friday we tried our best to fix it ourselves. We finally called Besco for an emergency call after normal business hours. A technician called within 30 mins and said he would be able to come in 90 minutes after his current job. After we confirmed the appointment he arrived as scheduled. He quickly diagnosed the problem (dirty sensors) as was able to get the furnace working again within 30 minutes from arrival.

All interactions on the phone were both pleasant and professional. Rob, the service tech, arrived exactly when we were told he would. He was very pleasant, diagnosed the problem quickly, and also quickly fixed it. He was very knowledgable and explained what he was doing as he worked. This was our first time dealing with Besco Air. I had called another company who serviced our furnace on a different occasion, but they did not return my call, and I called them twice. I will call Besco Air next time instead!

It was okay. The guy told me that it was the coolant and it needs to be filled, but since it was early October, I figured I will wait until the summer. He told me since my air conditioner is over 20 years old that I definitely need to get a new one and he should give me a quote for a new air conditioner. I explained to him that my house was built in 2008 so there's no way it's 20 years old. He told me that oftentimes what builders do is they use old air conditioning units and put in the house so that's why we should get a new one. I know the builder. He's not going to put in an old unit. He went back up and told me I was right, that it was built in 2008. He still told me we should get a new one. I don't think I am really going to listen to him. I am probably going through the process again to get it fixed. I called them before I bought the deal. I found them through Angie's List looking at the reviews, but then I called them first to make sure that they could come out quickly because I was traveling. They did come out quickly.

Besco did a great job. --Joe Pedota came to the house to give us the estimate. He was right on time and very thorough. He gave us three options at three different price points. He explained the differences and answered all our questions. There was no pressure and he didn't expect an answer right then. He just asked us to get back to him and left all the materials with us. --When we called Joe to accept the proposal he took care of all the details. He set up the installation time, got copies of our utility bills so that we would get the rebates that were available and took care of registering the equipment with the manufacturer for warranty purposes. We didn't have to take care of any of it ourselves. --The two installers arrived exactly when they said they would and worked very steadily through the day. They were very professional, explained what they were doing, cleaned up after they were done and explained the operation of the system to us. They started between 7:30 & 8 and finished mid afternoon. --A couple of weeks after the installation Joe came back and checked the work and made sure that we were satisfied with everything. It was a nice touch.

I called Tuesday afternoon and they were out on Wednesday. Woman who answered the phone was very pleasant and helpful. Rob came to the apartment to repair the furnace on time and it worked perfect. The outside exhaust pipe was clogged and he cleaned it out. The first time I tried this firm and I was very happy with the results. I had used another guy for years and he came out twice and could not fix it.

Joe arrived at the house a few minutes early and provided a written quote at the time of the inspection. He was incredibly qualified and competent and very professional. He was not the cheapest bid but he was definitely the most credible and the best provider I dealt with. We scheduled the work for a few days later; his crew showed up exactly on time and everything went perfectly. A part leaked slightly after the work was completed and someone came back to fix the work the very next morning. Joe followed up with a visit to make sure everything was done properly and to our satisfaction. A couple days later, a thank you card arrived with our warranty information included (nice touch). Couldn't be happier with Joe or with Besco. Wouldn't even bother calling anyone else next time!

Excellent. Answered all my questions and educated me a bit on furnaces (something I feel is important as a homeowner!). Was very professional.

He put in our heating unit. He was very friendly. He was very knowledgeable and knew what they were doing.

Ed the sale person was very accommodating. There was is an issue with the placement of the outdoor condensers, however Ed made up for it. The cost was very competitive and I was very happy with the final cost. Another thing that stuck out was that other competitors promised estimates and work in a specific time, but didn't do in the times they promised. I originally went with another company without doing comparisons based on recommendations. I placed a deposit with this other company, and they didn't end up coming at the day they promised. I ended up canceling them. After some more comparison, I ended going with Besco and very happy with the work. They workers were very professional and everything was cleaned up.

The provider specified what will be done and did exactly that. No surprises like inspection does not cover fixing the problem. The service was prompt and very professional.

,STOP----if you are looking for a hvac company, look no futher. you just found it. living out of state and owning a condo in chicago does create some problems. we have delt with several companies in the area, some good, some bad. besco air is very professional and reliable, they also offer 24 hour service. the employee's are excellent, there estimator stopped by to check on how the installation was going. on the way out he noticed another company installing the same unit in a different condo. so he stopped by to see how things were going. not very well, he showed them how to remove the old unit, they could not figure it out. that tells you alot about besco air ! ! ! !

I have been really happy with Besco since I purchased a new furnace and AC unit from them one year ago. They have been very responsive with service calls and I have been able to get them on site within 24 hours on multiple occasions. More recently, I had three service calls in a month to try to figure out why my furnace was dripping water. Each time, Besco came back without complaint and tried something new to resolve the issue. I am happy to have them as my HVAC provider.

The a/c was not working. the first repairman serviced the unit and got it running, however it stopped working again. Second repairman cam following day at no extra cost. the blower motor needed to be replaced due to a special air filter we did not know existed. the filter was clogged and caused the blower to burn out. they had an extra one in the truck and were able to replace the burnt out one. very professional. explained alot to us. thank you!

Woman who scheduled the service was very pleasant & pointed out that I could use an Angie's list coupon against the cost of the service call. Service was scheduled for early the following day; Glenn arrived on time & quickly diagnosed the problem. He also checked freon levels & said they were OK -- rather than trying to upcharge me as so many would have done! The price did not seem unreasonable & I would definitely call them again! l
