John is without a doubt the best handyman I have used. His pricing is fair, he is punctual and his work is precise. This is our second time with him and we will continue to call on him in the future. He is very particular with his work, so he may not work as fast as you would like, however, there is little chance you would not be pleased with the outcome.

We have a house we are putting on the market that needed some work in order to help the sale of the house. The bathrooms were quite dated and looked small due to the color of the vanities and walls. After John painted them the batrooms looked larger and more modern and you would never know it was not the orginal bathroom. We also had a room that needed a wall removed in order to open up more space on the main level of the home. John was quite thorough in checking to make sure there was no electrical wiring that would be compromised as well as the support structure of the wall. After he finished this job we were very pleased! It opened up the room and you would never have known a wall had ever been there. His finishing on the walls was excellent and especially the floors. I was concerned it would be obvious work was done because of the flooring. A previous bid had even told me I would have to replace all the wood flooring on the main level in order for it to match. John was able to match the wood on the floor exactly and the finished result was perfect. John was very professinal when he came to give us a bid, We had a few meetings before the actual work was to be started and he was always punctual. He was very neat when he was working and cleaned up at the end of the day. When work was completed he also did a very thorough job of cleaning all the dust that had collected due to all of the work being done. I would highly recommend him.

Very good repair job. Other contractors I called did not want to do such a small job. The whole tiled area is in better shape than before because John regrouted all cracks in the whole bathtub area and recaulked the whole window. He was always friendly, courteous and on time, telephoning if there would be any delay. Never made a big mess and clean-up was good. The process extended over a month for I was out of town creating a delay. John worked around my schedule.

Try him. He is a good person and very talented. He will be very respectful and very conscientious. I would hire him again just because he is so nice to work with. I can be picky... but not necessary here!

He was very responsive, made good recommendations on possible solutions, completed the work in a timely manner and charged a very reasonable fee. We would definitely use him again.

Arrived a bit early, totally professional in demeanor, assessed and went right to work. Very methodical in work ethic. Very determined and accurate painter. Overall very reasonably pricing and will use this service again. Very satisfied!

John came out to do a free estimate and was very pleasant to work with and knowledgeable. His estimate seemed reasonable and fair to me, so we went ahead with the work. For better or worse, I told him he could only do noisy work when the children were not napping, and he was able to do that for us. He generally came for a few hours after their naps, which probably wasn't the most efficient use of his time, but I really appreciated his being respectful of our children's nap schedule. He did a great job with the painting. The edges were nice and neat, and the surfaces were very smooth and even. Also, everything he fixed or installed seems to have been done properly. He is very committed to doing things properly. We would definitely work with him again!

John is extremely professional and very neat. He quickly installed the light switches and recommended that I use different bulbs (less expensive than the ones I have). He then showed me the problem with my dishwasher and how he could fix it. He needed materials he didn't have on him, so we arranged for him to come back on another day. I like using him because his prices are fair, his work is excellent and he's a nice guy. I'd recommend him to everybody.

The repair was made as scheduled and the result was excellent. The repaired bed is better than the original with extra support and stronger wood.

John came on time to give estimate and to perform the job. He is a very pleasant person and gave a very reasonable price. The job actually took somewhat longer to finish than he originally estimated (he was expedient, it just ended up being a longer job), but John did not request to be paid any more.

Overall John performs his services well. He is pleasant and fair.

First, we had an appointment on Saturday and he stated that he would come between 9-12. At 11:30 he called and stated that he would be unable to come today and would like to reschedule for tomorrow. I was disappointed that he called so late, as we had been waiting for him since 9AM. He could have called earlier, so that we could get on with our day. Regardless, we scheduled for the next morning. He did arrive at the scheduled time. We purchased a new door closer for him to install. He did not read the instructions, so we assumed that he knew what he was doing. After several tries and many holes in our door, he was not successful. I came inside to check if we could find some additional instructions on the internet. After a few minutes I went to the entry way and John along with his tools were gone. Concerned, I called his cell phone and he said he could not do the installation. As a common courtesy, he could have knocked on our door to let us know that he was leaving (or even called us). This is not professional. I will not recommend my friends to use him.

John was the only person I could find who was willing to undertake a very challenging repair of an antique mirror by reattaching the very thin ornamental tin veneer covering the mirror. At first blush, reattaching a piece of tin might sound like a simple job, but it could have resulted in disaster if the wrong technique was used because the tin was very old, thin and brittle. That's why two frame repair shops refused to even attempt it. John took the mirror and brought it back looking beautiful, with the veneer reattached and intact.

I have now used Handyman Services a number of times, and John is simply a treasure to work with. He is always reachable, whether during the busiest times of the day or evenings and weekends. This time around, the work had to be done swiftly, since the home was already occupied by a tenant. He offered creative and helpful suggestions and always listened to all my concerns and instructions. As with my previous experiences with his work, I was completely confident of his utter honesty and expertise to do the job right, in a manner that would be the most economical for me without compromising quality. The job was started and finished as scheduled, with marvelous results. John is polite, punctual, trustworthy, and creative in finding effective solutions. He has integrity and a wealth of knowledge. I feel fortunate to have found him, and will certainly be using his services again.

Mr. Farrug is warm and friendly. He came over the first Saturday and quickly knew what work needed to be done, shared his thoughts with me and provided an estimate at great price. He agreed to come back on the following Saturday to do the work. That following Saturday, he showed up on time and very quickly replaced the torn screen window. Left no dirt or mess. Then moved on to fixing the weather stripping around the door. Wasn't happy with the materials he had, and left to pick up some different ones from a nearby Home Depot. In a very, very heavy downpour of rain. Didn't complain at all. Just wanted the job to be done right. Came back very quickly with the new materials and inserted the new weather stripping around the door. Showed me the receipts for all the materials he had bought and gave me the cost of his time. During the second visit, I had also asked if he could look at my carbon monoxide detector while he was in my home because I couldn't figure out why it kept chirping if fresh batteries were being used. He looked that over as well and recommended a better model for me to buy (that was both inexpensive and easier to use). While at Home Depot getting the weather stripping materials, he picked the new CO2 Detector for me as well (again sharing the receipt with me so I was aware of exactly how much was paid for it). I would recommend him very highly. He is smart, friendly, honest and very thorough. I also like the fact that he did not track dirt through my home and did not leave a messy work area. All at a fair price.

I called John and he was able to make it on a Sunday within the week of my call. He came and worked for approximately three hours. He left everything clean and tidy.

John came promptly to provide estimate. Ended up not needing help on the sink and we decided to wait until Spring to replace screen door. However, he did the other jobs promptly and effectively. I would use him again.

John was very responsive to my initial call. He came out on the following Saturday to assess my need and on Sunday he returned and fixed the door. He did the work quickly and correctly and arrived on time to both of our appointments. I would definitely hire him again.

Everything was excellent. He cut everything very accurately, and he was very creative and meticulous in his work. His price was good, and I was very happy with his work.

He is a perfectionist and does an unbelievably accurate job. He takes his time but does an outstanding job. Any work I've had him do comes out very professional.

He arrived on time. He did the job when expected. Even when the job got a little more complicated he worked out his schedule so he could finish it. He was very respectful about being inside my home and professional about cleaning up his mess.

John was very nice, even attempting to tell me how to fix it over the phone. I'd already given it a shot though and just wanted it taken care of. After speaking with him, my tenants called and arranged a time for him to come out. He was able to fix it the next day. So far so good! I haven't had any complaints from the tenants.

Overall it went great. John was on time, looked at the job, told me what had to be done, and then did it. The job looks great. The wood piece fits perfectly and I'm very pleased. He was tidy and didn't leave a mess. He was also prepared and efficient.

In short, John was excellent. I had used another web site to find two other handymen who promised they would they would be there to do the work. The time came and no one showed. I found John on Angie's List and he was there the next day. He was open and honest about what he thought about the project, providing trade-offs in terms of what can be done and at what cost. He bought all the needed material, accommodated my schedule, worked independently, and did a fantastic job. His pricing was more than fair, in my opinion. I HIGHLY recommend John. Forget the other list - use Angie!
