Description of Work: John was incredible to work with from the first phone call until the jobs we had were complete! He was able to accommodate my schedule and come the day after my original phone call! We had a new chandelier that needed to be hung as well as 3 doors to fix. Two of the doors were never properly installed on their hinges and the third door is a sliding glass door that was off its track and therefore would not close or lock properly. John was efficient, nice and a pleasure to work with. His prices were more than fair and we will definitely be using him in the future whenever we need handyman work!

Description of Work: Install a built-in microwave that was hard wired. While this is a somewhat simple task it was complicated by the fact that my old microwave was not broken, but that there was problem with the electric wires. As he had already cut the plug on the new microwave, he offered to re-imburse me for the cost. Very honest. He arranged to have an electrician come back and fix the wires. He also moved 2 towel racks and a toilet paper roll holder that had not been installed properly in the drywall and is coming back to do the touch up painting. I would definitely call again!

Description of Work: We have used John several times and have always been completely satisfied. He can do anything. He does not take shortcuts, he does the job correctly and efficiently. Everyone we have recommended him to has thanked us. He is also a very trust worthy and kind man. I can not imagine anyone being unhappy with his services.

Description of Work: I had a long list a various projects in every room of my house (fix sliding screen door, replace garbage disposal, install child-proof window bars/screens/gate throughout the condo, repair and repaint bathroom ceiling, remove and replace bathtub/shower calk/silicon, install/mount shelves, mirror, coat hook and ceiling fan in baby's room, fix 2 doors that didn't open correctly, etc.). John was the only handyman service/rep that was willing to visit my home (I didn't even have to ask, he just offered) in order to give me an estimate for each job; not an hourly rate. By seeing each project, he was able to more effectively and fairly estimate how much time each project would take which allowed me to prioritize projects and coordinate my/his time. John went out of his way to educate me about each project (and other things he saw). He was very respectful of my time and my baby's nap/feeding schedule. He not only did a fabulous job for a very fair fee but he also did a wonderful job of cleaning up after himself each day he worked in my house. He was able to fix a sliding screen door that 2 other handyman could not figure out how to do. He was extremely cautious when it came to the work in my baby's room, making sure to take all precautions that all work would withstand my baby's curious nature (climbing, grabbing, etc.). I have used a couple other handyman services in the past, but the quality of John's work and his reasonable fees are unmatched. I will definitely use John again without hesitation. He was professional, friendly, fair and prompt. Thanks John!

Description of Work: I have used John's services several times over the last couple of years for all kinds of services. John is fantastic. He is responsive, punctual, thorough and very helpful. I highly recommend him.

Description of Work: He gave me an estimate to install two air conditioners. We set an appointment. He repeated back all of the info, but on the day of service, he never showed up. He never called, and I was not able to reach him to find out why he wasn't coming.

Description of Work: We hired John to caulk our shower/tub/toilet in our master bathroom.

Description of Work: Mr. Farrug did various handy jobs around my home. He installed door thresholds and doorknobs. The doorknob job was not as simple as it may seem. The doorknobs purchased did not simply fit the the original configuration. Some alterations had to be done in order for it to fit. Mr. Farrug applied his creative thinking to approach the doorknob dilemma.

Description of Work: Fixed previously installed hanging cabinets that were falling from ceiling.

Description of Work: I hired John to fix a portion of a water damaged wall. The wall looked like there was mold growing on it (but there wasn't, it was just paint peeling from the wall). John used some creativity and decided that removing the paint down to the wall, applying primer, then plaster, then paint was the way to go.

Description of Work: This gentleman worked on a porch, a ceiling, hung closet doors, and demonstrated professionalism in all areas. His work is neat and high quality.

Description of Work: Re-hung bathroom door that wasn't opening/closing correctly. Trimmed the bottom of the bathroom door so there's enough clearance to open/close over a bathroom rug. Fixed toilet that was flushing weakly.

Description of Work: John Farrug completed three painting projects for me in a short period of time. He painted a bedroom, a large den, and a 20-foot long garden fence. Along the way, he patched, primed, and made repairs as needed.

Description of Work: John Farrug built a bedroom closet for me by customizing a store-bought closet kit. He installed a better, stronger rod than then the one that came with the kit. He built extra shelves and drilled extra holes so that the shelves could be adjustable. He also fixed up a front hall closet by installing a shelf and a rod for hanging coats, and cut extra shelves for the kitchen cabinets.
