We had a very good impression with the salesman we dealt with. Ed was very respectful, gave us the time we needed and was not high pressured. I feel we received a good price on the material we purchased and I am very happy with their service and their store. They delivered the material when they promised. It was on time and they did exactly what they said they were going to do. They were in and out and we were very much satisified.

We recently purchased a king-size bed and went to Back to Bed on Clybourn/Armitage to purchase a mattress. We have slept on a queen-size foam mattress (Sonno Prima from DWR) for the last six years and would have purchased another Sonno Prima, although the mattress was not high/thick enough for our new bed. We went to Back to Bed to purchase a king-size mattress and quickly settled on the MiForma mattress. The mattress was delivered the same day (on a Sunday) and was very comfortable, although the mattress was not a king-size. The mattress on the sleeping surface was 75x76.5 inches (instead of 76x80). We informed Back to Bed the same day of the issue, and they exchanged the mattress for another mattress a couple of days later at no charge. Unfortunately, this mattress was also tapered and measured several inches short of what a king mattress should measure out. We informed Back to Bed of this issue and we started to get a bit of pushback. Calls weren't returned and we ended up having to take several photographs and the only way we were paid attention to was by going back to the store. We measured the miForma mattresses in the store and they also didn't measure up to industry standard sizes. Based on this, I would presume this is either a batch issue or brand issue as all the miForma's aren't measuring out to a traditional king size. Something that should be caught by the purchasing department of Back to Bed. We didn't feel entirely comfortable in the Clybourn/Armitage as the employees there made it feel like this was our issue and not theirs. The store was exceptionally hesitant on just letting us return the mattress (they wanted to do an exchange with another mattress - although their foam mattress selection isn't exceptionally strong). We ended up going to the Back to Bed store on Diversey and Halsted and it was a very different response. Exceptionally understanding and helpful with our issue. After trying out several mattresses at the new store, we settled on a Tempurpedic bed, which was delivered on Labor Day (a couple of days later). We're very satisfied with the new mattress, it is just unfortunate it took a couple of weeks to get a "king" mattress. Mgmt at the Diversey/Halsted store was critical in salvaging our Back to Bed experience.

They knew all about the mattresses and steered us to the right one. It was delivered the next day and they took away our old mattress, hauling everything up a flight of stairs.

Very nice people. Was served by the owner, and he knew his stuff and is involved in the company because he really cares as the products have helped him so much. They always have a good selection, and the showroom is large, bright and clean. Very low pressure sales staff know the products, and the installers are courteous and punctual. We love our mattress, and our sons bed is extremely comfortable (comfortable snuggles having caused me to fall asleep in his bed many times).
