They were fine. We did have a problem, but they fixed it. After the job was completed there was a leak. They came out and fixed it right away. The guy that did the work blamed the estimator, and said that was the reason that it didn't get done right. I discovered the leak on a rainy day and they came out shortly after to fix it.

The end result was that I had my gutters replaced as well as a few additional items repaired. Avondale Roofing kept me informed when they were coming to do the work and showed up when they said they would. Luckily they were able to complete the work on one of the last few nice days of the Fall. Besides doing the main job of replacing the gutters they also paid just as much attention to the smaller tasks. Per our agreement, I primed and painted a small piece of plywood that they used to repair the damaged soffit area. They replaced the damaged soffit, sealed the area, and used the available paint to touch up the edges. It was this attention to detail that impressed me. Overall Avondale Roofing did and excellent, the crew was courteous, meticulous in their work, and cleaned up after they were done. It is hard to get an A from me, but they earned it.

Called for an estimate, got a call-back 3 weeks later. By that time another roofing company had already called back, come out, provided estimate with mailed written copy, and called back to make sure I had received all the above. Which company would you choose?

Called to get as estimate for wood siding repair and a tear-off roof replacement. Talked to a guy named Leo. He was nice and came out for the estimate on time and seemed professional at first. After 5 minutes going over the project, he got distracted and left abruptly - saying he'd come back in a few days with another guy to take measurements and get me an estimate. Never heard back from him. Very unprofessional.

Went very smooth. Got the job done much sooner than expected! Materials came in quicker than Avondale thought they would. Called me up and asked if they could start sooner. Very nice to deal with, Matt the salesman was very courteous as well as informative about the up coming job. Both Matt and office personal kept me up to date on all aspects of project. Clean up was excellent.

We had a small leak in our flat roof. The estimator called to schedule an appointment and came out the next day to accommodate my schedule. He was on time and very professional. He recommended tearing the roof off as did 2 other companies, but was willing to do a temporary repair when I told him that was all we could afford this season. He wrote up two proposals before leaving - one was to prepare the roof for a deck which we are thinking about for the future. We went out of town without deciding which roofer to go with. The salesman called me a couple of times to follow up and when we decided to go with them, scheduled me in the first day I was available. It rained 3 days in a row before they were supposed to come to me and their scheduler was very efficient in contacting me and rescheduling for the next day. They patched up 4 wooden balcony posts that were embedded in the roof and were the suspect of the leak. They also sealed the flashing. It only took 2 guys an hour to complete. They left everything very clean, although I thought the tar was put on a little messy, but my husband says that's just how it is. It rained once and didn't leak, so we're hopeful it worked for the time being. They also gave us a 90 day warranty.

Matt went to the first home and told me that the the roof was only 15 years old and was in excellent shape. No work was needed. Another company gave me a $15,000 quote for total roof replacement. Thanks Matt for informing me of the error of the other company. The second home, once again, Matt informed me, was not in need of replacement plywood. The gutter was the issue, and it needed to be replaced. Matt was great at keeping in constant contact with me. I really wanted to use Avondale but another company had given me an estimate for gutter replacement. The other company also had a great reputation on Angie's List and the BBB. The other company was only slightly cheaper and I needed to be conservative with my money as I am undergoing many renovations. I asked Matt if he could beat the competitor's price, but he was unable to do so. I greatly appreciate the work Matt did for me and I will be sure to recommend Avondale to everyone I know, even though I did not use the company to complete the job. The way I see it, Matt saved me $15,000 by informing me I did not need a roof replacement. I will be sure to use Avondale for my future roofing needs.

From the person on the phone to the roofing specialist Matt, they were responsive, informative and professional. We did not need the work done after all but would definitely consider them if the future.

They were very professional and the estimator did a good job. They cleaned up for the most part and we are certainly pleased with the gutters and the roof repair.

It was fine. They came when they said they were going to come. They always do a great job for us.

Avondale showed up in on time for the estimate and was courteous. We asked them to cut two holes in the roof to put bathroom vent fans through and they were very accommodating. They recommended tuckpointing the chimneys but could not handle it as a part of the job. We found another contractor who did that and two days later they scheduled the roof. They came early in the morning and set up the dumpster in the driveway. There was a crew of 7 with several English-speaking veterans of the company. The tear-off was very quick and they were careful of the gutters we did not want replaced. They had 2 helpers to clean up the debris. They put the bathroom vents through the roof without going into the attic. They put in ice shield and tar paper and then nailed down each shingle with an air gun. The job was done in one day. The dumpster was removed in the morning and the remaining materials were taken away by noon. We asked for and received one package of shingles in case they were needed some day. The foreman inspected the job and sent two guys back to caulk one place between the roofing and trim that he thought might be a problem later. He told us the roof was "his" for 6 years so he wanted it to be right. We have had several rains and no leaks. One window was scratched by a falling shingle and they replaced it.

Excellent. They came for an estimate almost right away. The roof was started within two weeks of signing the agreement/submitting the deposit. The job took two days. They even came to pick up the dumpster on a Saturday morning!

Over all it went well. The work was professional, timely, and well done. I have only 2 criticisms; the estimator failed to show for the first appointment, and the clean-up was good but not great. On confronting the owner regarding the no show of the estimator, the response was wonderful. Not only was everyone early regarding any appointments, but I also received a sizable discount for my inconvenience. When we commented about the clean-up, the estimator personally came back to sweep up!

DID NOT HAVE THE PROPER AMOUNT OF SIDING NEEDED, BUT AVONDALE RECTIFIED THE SITUATION BY SENDING THEIR PEOPLE TO GO PICK UP MATERIAL THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ORDERED PRIOR TO THE JOB.

THEY DO VERY SATISFACTORY WORK. THE ENTIRE JOB WAS FINISHED IN ONE DAY. WORKERS CLEANED UP WORK SITE AFTER COMPLETION.

I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH ED COOK OF AVONDALE. WHEN HE LOOKED AT ONE PROBLEM AREA, HE RECOMMENDED DOING MINOR REPAIRS AND CAULKING FIRST TO SEE IF THAT SOLVED OUR PROBLEM, BEFORE TEARING UP THE ENTIRE ROOFTOP DECK. THE MINOR REPAIRS SOLVED THE PROBLEM AND SAVED US THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. I WOULD LOVE TO USE AVONDALE AGAIN, AND WOULD LIKE OUR ASSOCIATION TO USE THEIR PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE PROGRAM. ONE UNIT OWNER DID COMPLAIN THAT THE CAULKING LOOKED SLOPPY IN HER OPINION AND THAT THEY DIDNT LET HER KNOW THEY HAD ARRIVED AND WERE MAKING THE REPAIRS. ED DID COME BACK TO REVIEW HER COMPLAINTS. HE SAID THEYD COME BACK AND CLEAN UP THE CAULKING TO HER SATISFACTION. (DONT THINK THEY HAVE YET.)

I HAD AN ESTIMATE DONE IN MAY OF LAST YEAR AND THE ROOF REPLACED IN NOVEMBER. THEY WERE EXTREMELY GOOD IN SCHEDULING THE REPAIR BEFORE THE COLD SET IN, AND CHECKED BACK ON TIMING. ONE FOUL-UP (NOT THEIR FAULT) WAS THAT THE ROOFING MATERIALS WENT TO THE WRONG ADDRESS, SO THEY STARTED A BIT LATE ON DAY 1. THERE WAS ONLY ONE TEENY-TINY ISSUE: BITS OF ROOFING MATERIALS WERE STILL IN AND AROUND THE HOUSE AND THE LAWN AFTER THEY FINISHED. THEY DID THEIR BEST TO CLEAN UP, BUT THE WEATHER WAS QUITE DAMP THE DAY THEY FINISHED AND A LOT OF THE GRIT ADHERED TO THE DRIVE AND THE PATIO IN BACK. WE HAD A SQUIRREL PROBLEM BEFORE AND AFTER THE ROOF REPAIR; THEY CAME BACK A WEEK LATER TO PATCH A HOLE WITH HEAVY-DUTY STEEL (FOR AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE); WE WERE THEN ABLE TO TRAP THE SQUIRRELS INSIDE AND SAY GOOD-BYE TO OUR LONG-TIME FREE-LOADERS.

I THINK THEIR SERVICE COULD BE A BIT BETTER. I JUST HAD A SITUATION WHERE I HAD A LEAK (IT ULTIMATELY ENDED UP BEING AN UPSTAIRS WINDOW) AND HAD TO DEMAND/ARGUE TO GET THEM TO GET SOME ONE OUT TO REVIEW THE SITUATION. I EXPECT THEM TO BE MORE RESPONSIVE. THEY DID SHOW UP AND WERE NICE AND DID PROVIDE A FOLLOW UP CALL THAT EVENING. JUST DIDN''T LIKE THE FACT THAT I HAD TO PUSH SO HARD FOR AN ON SITE CALL, WHEN I THINK THAT THE ROOFING BUSINESS SHOULD BE ABLE TO HANDLE SUCH SITUATIONS AS A NORMAL COURSE OF BUSINESS. I WOULD STILL RECOMMEND THE COMPANY.

THE AGENT WHO MADE THE ESTIMATE WAS AT FAULT. HE RECOMMENDED WORK THAT HAD NO CHANCE OF FIXING THE PROBLEM. THE HEAD OF THE COMPANY REFUNDED US ALMOST HALF OF THE MONEY.

E HAD NUMEROUS PROBLEMS WITH ROOF INSTALL LEADING TO LEAKS. TRIED TO CONTACT THEM MANY TIMES REGARDING THE SITUATION WE WERE PUT OFF AND THEY IGNORED OUR CLAIM. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE
