+ -1 moreAnother painter quit on me because he couldn't handle Safecoat 0 voc paint. He stepped in with A supervisor (his brother) and 3 men at a days notice. Some things went wrong, but they were adjusted. The low marks are for I could never get him to come back for more work. sInce 2011 and his phone nos are no longer good. His emails were very curt. Do you want me to do to do the work or not. He said he had another green paint to suggest, but he wouldn't give me the name. His rates then were 90$ per man hr plus materials. He was recommended through Greenwerks which is now defunct. He has since done a job for the Smart House at the Museum. He was very nice when the job was on, but I wasn't totally confident with his workmen. I was reluctant to have them continue with the trim which is harder in 0voc paint and his estimate for that was very high also. Seems to be a reliability issue here.
Description of Work: Painted ceilings in foyer, 2 walls in living room, repaired cracks and painted1 wall in the dining room, 1 small wall foyer, reprinted basement stairwell. Suggested a 0 voc paint. Brought giant air filter as I am chemically sensitive. Tarped off living room.

+ 10 moreAS worked on the interior and exterior of the house for a period of 3 months and basically provided and interior and exterior facelift. Fantastic experience and AS always adjusted to changing conditions and new discoveries. The house is from the 1890s, so nothing was as expected. Highly skilled and dedicated craftsmen! There was no job they couldn't help me with.
Description of Work: Complete interior wall and ceiling painting (4000 sf house, 3 levels), Door replacement, Wall and pocket door installation, light and cable installation, Shingle and membrane roof removal and replacement, skylight installation, new gutters and downspouts, Historic facade restoration and replacement of traditional victorian wood trim, complete exterior siding removal, complete exterior sheathing, building wrap, new lap and panel Hardie siding, new window flashing and trim, and complete exterior painting. Wiring of new electircal boxes and installation of all new exterior fixtures. Removal and installation of new exterior hose bibb. termite damage repair.
