Beware Arzet Heating & Air, they will rip you off when your air conditioning breaks down in the summer heat. The a/c at my condo went out and I called Arzet to come take a look. They told me I needed a new run capacitor and the total charge would be $625. Pretty pricey, but worth it to get the air running again! Then a few hours later the air was not cold at all so I called and they scheduled a visit for tomorrow. The next visit they told me I had a freon leak which needed to be fixed and I had three options: 1) Recharge the freon and add leak stopper for $1100 2) Do a leak test and repair the leak and add freon for $1700 3) Replace the whole system for $5200 I chose option two because the unit is 11 years old and it should last for a few more years at least. They did the leak test for maybe 2 hours and told me they could not find the leak and it must be in the wall so there is nothing they can do. Also they will add leak stopper to the freon recharge which will be an additional $275. So I had to pay them $1975 because I chose option two instead of option 1, which would have saved me $875. I called them about this obvious discrepancy in my invoice and they said a manager would get back to me by the end of the day. No one ever called me back. So I paid $2600, half the cost of a new system for them to not solve my problem. Call anyone else if you want to save yourself thousands of dollars for a normal service call.

I'm not sure if Walter and Arzet Heating and Air Conditioning are incompetent or dishonest. Either way, they have stolen $1500 from me to install a humidifier that is totally useless. I am attempting to get it fixed or get my money back and they are completely ignoring me. I am currently speaking to a lawyer. The issues: They installed a humidifier that supplies no humidity to my house whatsoever. The humidity level is constantly at 15%. The humidistat cover and knob keep falling off. Their solution was telling me to duct tape it. They are now ignoring my repeated attempts to communicate and get a resolution. . Walter's many excuses for why the humidifier doesn't work: 1. The furnace is too big. (They knew this before charging me for the humidifier and installation). 2. It's cold outside. 3. I shouldn't pay attention to the 15% humidity reading. 3. I need to buy a more expensive humidistat. 4. I need to let it run for a few hours to work properly. Then, when that didn't work... 5. I need to let it run for a few days. 6. Walter then just started telling me it's working, even though 15% humidity is clearly the opposite of working. . Their mistakes: They installed the humidifier on the plenum (the very hot outside part of the furnace). Every company I have talked to since has said no professional would do this. It goes on the return or nearby. They then came back to bypass the broken humidistat so the humidifier just runs whenever the heat is on. This accomplished nothing. Water doesn't even run into the humidifier. It's bone dry. . The funny thing is I will soon need 2 new complete hvac units. If they had handled my humidifiers correctly, I was ready to hire them for a $12,000-$15,000 job (or higher). Obviously that's not happening. . Walter, I'm sorry Yelp is the only way I have of contacting you now. You owe me my money back.

Walt Arzet was very professional. His initial estimate was higher than others I had received, but he matched the lowest price. The system appears to be working well and the installers were punctual, courteous, and professional. We have a 15 year warranty so hopefully things will continue to go well.

We hired Arzet to replace our legacy steam boiler heat system with modern high-efficiency forced air heating/cooling units in a multi-unit building. The layout of the building demanded some complex ductwork that Arzet executed well. Arzet is extremely professional, timely and responsible. The owner was very responsive to our preferences and took time to help us understand key decisions. The installation team was courteous and hardworking. The installation was successful overall and we'll hire Arzet in the future.

After annual service on my air conditioner and furnace earier this year from Heatmasters, I was told that I needed a new furnace & I was given a ridiculously high estimate. A friend recommended I call Walter at Arzet for a second opinion. He came by, took a look at the furnace and gave me an estimate--including the furnace and installation--for almost $2000 less than the quote from the other company. What I also loved about him was that he told me that it wasn't urgent and I could wait another season, if need be. I appreciated that he didn't go right for my wallet! I also expressed that my basement office got cold in the winter, so he added a vent in the office. The whole project, which was done quickly and efficiently cost $3200. The technicians were professional, friendly and non-intrusive. I am now happy and warm!

Everything about our experience with Walter at Arzet Heating and Air was superb. We needed to replace two AC units and a furnace in a building we were moving into and it had to be done in a time-sensitive manner. Walter was the only heating/ac company who would bother giving us an estimate in July; he was still busy like everyone else, but managed to be profesisonal and still go above and beyond to get us what we needed. We were using a rfederal ehab loan that required extra paper work, which Walter was more than happy to accomodate. Walter was incredibly professional and very communicative; I always knew what was going on and where we were in the process. The actual work they performed was also excellent, and his crew of men was just as professional as he was and I felt fine leaving for work and letting them see themselves out when finished for the day. My fiance is a mechanical engineer and was also impressed with their work (he's a hard one to impress due to his level of knowledge). There were a couple of wires that weren't recovered/replaced, but the second my fiance mentioned this to Walter, he came out and replaced it when it was convenient for us and the job was finished. I'd use them again without any hesitation.

I have used Arzet for several years now and Walter always does a great job. He takes time to explain and show me what's going on if something is wrong - he really wants me to understand a problem and how he's going to fix it. Walter does a good job of communicating, scheduling and shows up on time. I've recommended him to a friend who needed her furnace replaced (a tight fit in a condo) and she was very happy, too.

Walter is awesome. I have used him multiple times,. both residential and commercial buildings I own. This last time, everyone gave me a quote above $2500 to replace the furnace and he was able to find another option for me! He did this for me on an AC unit as well a few years ago. I will never use anyone else. He is always on time, always communicating, very professional.
