About us

With years of artistic and event production experience, Deborah Weisenhaus created Art of Imagination as an outlet for her brand of impactful, functional and creative event design. First and foremost an artist, Deborah graduated with from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she brought together light, fabric, paint and film to create installations that became experiences that flowed and changed as viewers moved through them. As soon as Deborah entered the event business, her strong, creative vision ensured that soon after she was charged with completely overseeing large events, managing everything from staff and catering, to placement and layout. In founding Art of Imagination, Deborah combined her experiences in catering, lighting, fabric & floral design as well as event management to offer Complete Event Production and specializing in Space Design. More than fabric and lighting, Deborah’s event production services come with the assurance that the creative experts at Art of Imagination will use the limitless power of their imagination to take your vision and design it into a unique experience and a "One of a Kind Event!” As part of her Complete Event Production services, Deborah has partnered with a number of unique, creative, vendors to create the total experience which has gained her so much renown amongst both brides and peers.

I was thrilled. Deborah came out and gave me 110% more than I expected. She created an amazing scene with the use of lighting, fabric draping, floral treatment and event design. The entire room was transformed from a vanilla box to a warm, comfortable and inviting space. She was able to provide furniture for a cocktail seating area and turned a very large, cold room into a place where people wanted to hang out. The Art of Imagination crew was quiet, professional and courteous. They came in, did their work and even though a million other things were going on, they managed to be unobtrusive. I was really so pleased with the work and I will certainly hire Deborah Weisenhaus and Art of Imagination again.
Description of Work: I called Deborah Weisenhaus with Art of Imagination to provide an estimate and ideas for lighting, backdrop and fabric treatment for a party I was hosting. Services included creating a drawing showing me what the space would look like, explaining different kinds of lighting options, fabric treatment options.
