APPLUS+ HOME INSPECTIONS

I found them very professional and courteous. When the appointment was set they e-mailed me a picture of the inspector. One problem was electrical and my dad is an electrician and they will wait until he gets to town. I felt the price was reasonable. I was definitely satisfied.

I called Applus after another contractor was unwilling to offer a service that met my needs. Adrienne, at Applus, was very responsive and accommodating. She sent me a confirmation email with a picture of Zak, which was much appreciated. Zak had a great attitude. I could tell that he loved his job and knew a lot about it. He did thermal imaging of our entire house, even crawled into the crawl spaces, to show us the air leaks. He did a great job explaining why air was leaking throughout the house and what needed to be done about it. The appointment lasted about two hours. By the next day, he emailed our report which included the thermal imaging pictures and digital pictures of the locations. It also included a chart of all the suggested changes that needed to be made, the cost, the potential savings and the payback time period. His report answered many of my questions regarding our house.

The overall experience was great. The day before the inspection Applus+ send me an e-mail describing the inspector who was coming with a digital picture attached. Kevin, the inspector arrived about 15 minutes early. He was very thorough and detailed and answered all the questions I had about the home I was buying. He had a variety of very modern looking equipment including a thermal imaging camera that he used to scan walls and ceilings for problems. He even found a short in the wires inside of a wall that could have caused a fire! He finished within 2 hours and later that day I got an amazing color report with digital pictures showing the issues he found with little arrows pointing to exactly where the problems were. I also got a detailed report on specific things I can do with my new home to make it more energy efficient. About 3 days later I got both those reports and monthly maintenance suggestions sent to me in a nice package. The overall service and experience was great.
