An appointment was set for the on site estimate. Elena, the woman who made the arrangements, was professional and offered informative advice in what we should consider for our building. Several other plumbing groups we consulted with did not offer on site estimates or had a cost associated with their estimate. APEX's associate, Grant, was prompt, friendly and gave honest feedback at the estimate - based only the facts before him. He even stood his ground as the developer countered him!! We opted to pursue the relationship with APEX. Our building's catch basin was filled with grease, no standing water was present at all. They found cans, rubber balls and several bricks. Our developers insisted they regularly scooped the basin, which no doubt they did on a do it yourself basis, however the basin had not been fully and completely scooped in a decade - this kind of service is needed at least once every five years or so. We will opt to do our annual maintenance and 5 year servicing with APE

After calling around on a workday morning, APEX was the only company who understood how living without a kitchen sink and dishwasher would be inconvenient to say the least. They offered to fit me into their schedule the same day. I left a signed, blank check on the fridge. A friend with a key to my condo met APEX that afternoon. APEX called me at my office with the job estimate of $195. The work was performed quickly and for exactly $195. I returned home to a sparkling clean kitchen. I think APEX may have even washed the counters in case any dirty water contaminated them.

They did a good job for me. I wouldn't say they were great, though. They came on time and did the job, which was good for me. They were pretty responsive and did a pretty professional job for what needed to be done.

Everything went well. They showed up on time, they were pleasant and did their work well.

The ejector pump in the front yard sewer was shutting off before draining the water properly. At neighbors suggestion, I called another plumber and was told there would be a flat fee for service call to look at the pump problem and I would probably need so other sewer work done. They gave me an estimate of about $600. I then checked Angie's list, found Apex Plumbing, read the reports, called them. They would give me a free estimate first on site. Upon arriving Grant tested the pump and switch. Pump worked immediately but switch was shutting off pump prematurely. Since Grant did not have the correct switch he needed to make a run to plumbing supply store. From start to finish less than 1 1/2 hours. Grant did not try to sell me any other sewer work during this service call.

Punctual visit and gave a quick estimate. Chuck gave a competitive estimate and was willing to work with me on price. It was close but in the end I decided on a different plumbing contractor. Would definitely consider Apex again for another project.

Came quickly and called ahead. Took one look at my water heater and said that it is not the kind that they service (would have been nice to know when I scheduled the call). Told me how to find some folks who would be able to service it. The two men were friendly, but smelled strongly of cigarettes.

The workers were pleasant and two of them chatted with me while the third worked. The one plumber who was working seemed competent. I own the building (a six unit apartment building) and I am looking for a plumber to do many jobs in the future. I even planned on installing a new water line, a nice big job. However, I feel Apex charged me much too much for a two hour job. I would be hesitant to hire them again because of their excessive and unfair pricing.

Apex gave us a bid to put in a new faucet and replace the float valve in our basement toilet. When the plumber came to look at the problem, he also told us that he would have to install stop valves at the kitchen faucet. When they came back to do the work, he informed me the pipes were too close to the wall to install the stop valves. He and his helper installed the faucet, replaced the float valve and replaced the trap on the kitchen drain. He informed me of this after he had done it. The plumbers were very nice and seemed to know what they were doing. However, they were only there for 1 hour. I supplied the faucet. Yet the charge was $310. I think this is a little high. We also just discovered that the toilet fitting that they put in is leaking. I have called them and left a message, and I'm sure they will come and fix it, but for that kind of money, I would think they would have checked that.

They responded very quickly and came when they said they would. Chuck, the boss, did the work with an assistant. He explained costs and options and did the work right away. Price ended up being a bit higher that what he had said. They were nice and seem to have done a good job.

They came when they said they would and did a clean job. Unfortunately, the job took longer than expected with the defective sink problem and the cost ended up being higher than expected.

Very prompt, came out and answered questions. Price quoted was about 15% higher than the average of 3 other quotes.

Apex was very good about scheduling and arrived on time. However they seemed somewhat unprepared for the removal and ended up leaking lots of dirty water onto the kitchen floor, without towels, rags or mops to clean it up. They were friendly guys but didnt work that hard (maybe an hour) for $330.

I called after hours and left a message with the answering service and she asked me if it were an emergency. I said that it was not, and she said that they would call me at 7:30 AM when the plumbers arrived. I waited until 8:30 AM and then called Apex. The daytime person expressed frustration that the answering service would have told me that; she said they are not supposed to say that. But after I spoke to the daytime person, she was very prompt in coordinating the plumbers arrival. The plumber was prompt and did a good job cleaning up.

Everything went very well. They were able to come the same day I called. Once here, they were very efficient.

Very good experience. This is the second time we used them and both times they were punctual and called right before the appointment time as a reminder. The guys who did the work explained everything that needed to be done, worked quickly, and cleaned up after they finished. You couldnt even tell anything had been done. Will definitely use again and recommend.

Grant went above and beyond the call of duty to install the wash stand in an unusually tight space. Helper Pedro did not notice that the J-trap under the kitchen sink was almost rusted through when he installed the garbage disposal, so shortly thereafter I had a big flood under the sink. Aside from that, they did their job well, were on time and pleasant.

The best thing about Apex, this time, was their quick response. We called on a Monday evening right after our water heater went out. Apex returned our call at 8 AM the next morning, and they were on site working by 9 AM. That was good because the water heater went out right before we were scheduled to go away for the holidays. I dont know if $350 is a good price for water heater replacement, but since Apex came out so quickly, I would have been willing to pay a little extra. Home Depot said they could arrange for labor that would probably run us $250-$300, but Apex was able to come out quickly. This is the second job Apex has done for us.

We were satisfied with the service and price. We will definitely use them again. Helpful and quick to respond.

Starting with the receptionist, and ending with the repair, it was a great experience all around. It was an emergency call on a Saturday, and they came very quickly, and on time. They gave me an estimate and performed the work on the spot. I had called a couple of other places first who wanted to charge me double on a Saturday, so by the estimates provided to me by the other companies, I saved at least $250.00 with APEX. They were very polite, and I would most definitely use them again. In fact, I asked for a few extra cards so I could give them to friends.

THE PLUMBERS WERE, I BELIEVE, EARLY THE FIRST TIME BUT LATE THE NEXT 2 TIMES. I MET 4 DIFFERENT EMPLOYEES WHO CAME OUT OVER THE 3 TRIPS AND THEY EACH WERE POLITE. THE LAST GUY, I THINK HIS NAME IS JAY, WAS THE MOST KNOWLEDGEABLE AND HELPED EXPLAIN WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH MY DUMB TOILET. I WAS NOT CHARGED FOR THE 2 FOLLOW-UP TRIPS FOR THE TOILET WORK. IM GLAD THAT THE COMPANY WAS WILLING TO TAKE OWNERSHIP OF WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN AN ERROR ON THEIR PART, EVEN THOUGH IT TURNED OUT TO BE A BAD TOILET. THE MAIN SECRETARY/IES THAT I TALKED TO ON THE PHONE WERE ALSO VERY HELPFUL, INTELLIGENT, AND THOROUGH. I HAVENT HAD THE NEED FOR LOTS OF PLUMBING WORK, SO IM NOT SURE HOW THEIR PRICES ARE COMPARATIVELY. I WOULD CERTAINLY CALL THEM AGAIN.

OVERALL I WAS QUITE HAPPY. HOWEVER, I WAS DISAPPOINTED THAT THEY ''LOST'' MY APPOINTMENT. HOWEVER, THEY WERE ABLE TO GET SOMEONE TO MY HOUSE WITHIN ONE HOUR OF THE ORIGINAL APPOINTMENT.

I WAS DISAPPOINTED TO SEE THAT APEX HAD NOT CLEANED-UP AFTER THEMSELVES UPON FINISHING THE JOB. WHILE REPLACING THE SPIGOT THEY MANAGED TO KNOCK OUR CLOTHES DRYER OFF IT'S CEMENT BLOCK; IT WOULD HAVE BEEN SIMPLE FOR TWO MEN TO PUT IT BACK. I ALSO QUESTION THE STABILITY OF THE CAULK THEY USED TO HOLD THE PIPE THAT RUNS FROM THE BASEMENT TO THE EXTERIOR OF THE HOUSE.

VERY POLITE AND EASY TO WORK WITH. APEX SEEMS TO HAVE ONE OF THE CHEAPEST LABOR RATES AROUND.

FIXED BOTH ISSUES FINE. I THOUGHT THE WORK EXPENSIVE FOR THE TIME IT TOOK (<1HR WITH TWO PEOPLE). COMMUTE WAS PROBABLY 20 MIN. IT IS A CHANCE YOU TAKE WITH FIXED PRICE WORK I GUESS. ON THE SECOND PROBLEM I HAD TO HELP WITH THE TROUBLESHOOTING, BUT ONCE I GOT THEM GOING THE WORK WAS COMPLETED FAST, AND THEY DID A FINE JOB. SHOWED UP ON TIME TOO.
