They were fantastic. They came out and did a very good job. They were very clean and they took the time to make sure that there was not mess. They had to rebuild a door jam and they did a fantastic job. The price for the work was just right. I was very happy with their service.

The overall experience was very good. The project was completed as requested and as promised. The work area was left very clean.

Their service was good. I was impressed because they brought samples with them when they came over to give an estimate. Their presentation was very impressive. The windows come with a guarantee and if they ever break, the glass will be replaced free of charge.

They told me it would take 5-7 weeks and it took almost three months. Then they came out and put in 7 of the windows and could not put in the last window because they did not measure right. They quoted me one price and they called me back 7 weeks after they quoted me and said I had to pay more or they would not be able to put the windows in. It was going into December and I needed the windows because the house was getting cold and I was not in the position to go with someone else and have to wait another 7 weeks and winter would be over.

They were very good! They did a wonderful job cleaning up and did a very professional job. They are a great no nonsense company. Their finished product and quality of the window was excellent. I intend to use them again.

We called up for an estimate, and they set up an appointment within the week. After meeting for the first time, we called them to tell them that we were ready to sign the contract, we set another appointment and they came within the week again, even waiting an additional 15 minutes because we were running late to the appointment. After the contract was signed, the windows came in about 4 weeks later, and an installation appointment was made. The workers came at the scheduled time and the work was done quickly and with little mess. When caulking the interior side of the windows, the worker informed us about the different types of caulk and that the clear caulk might smell and bother our children. (Very thoughtful...) They even cleaned the windows for us! The workers were polite and wonderful with my little ones who were asking lots of questions. The job was done in about 2 hours, and we're VERY pleased with our new windows!

Went well, came to show us the windows, after ordering they came and installed and didn't even have to come in the house.

The salesman, Iver Jr., came to my home, took measurements, and gave me a demo of the product--a triple-paned vinyl window. The quote was higher than all but one (Andersen) of the other companies I looked at, but I really liked the product. I never felt pressured to commit to buying through them. The crew was very nice and worked very quickly, and from what I can tell they did a very nice job. They cleaned up pretty well after the job. I was very impressed with how quickly they worked--it only took one day to do all of the windows! The windows look GREAT. Overall, I am pretty satisfied. A few of the windows are bit hard to lock, but I think they will loosen up over time. Other than that I haven't noticed any problems yet. The best part is that they gave me a lifetime transferable warranty on the windows AND labor, so even if there is a problem, I don't have to pay for it. I am planning to use this company in the future, possibly when I get storm doors.

Iver did a quality sales presentation in an informative way. He did not pressure us to make a decision immediately but taught us all about his product. We got three other quotes. We had the best feeling and a great price from American Thermal. The work was done quickly and well. They completely cleaned up after themselves and I didn t even have to take down my blinds!

The work crew showed up early, completed the job in two days, and I had to leave the house to go to work leaving the house unsecured. Because I have used this company before, had no problem leaving the crew inside my house. Trustworthy, congenial, and the finished product looks great. The original estimate from pella windows was substantially higher than American thermal For the same work, and the same product and better warranty through American Thermal. Nice job guys. Thank you. I would recommend this company for window replacement work. Work was completed earlier than originally scheduled-sales rep. Iver indicated it would be about a 6 week wait-windows were ready in about 4 weeks. Work was completed in one day as promised with minimal impact on the remainder of the house. The triple paned windows are a noticeable improvement over the windows they replaced. The installation appears to have been done correctly, no gaps noted and all capping done as promised. Iver did measure the windows at the time of the sales presentation and then came back again to remeasure when we reached our agreement. Verifying the measurements struck me as a good idea in order to avoid a problem at time of installation. Iver also came by the day of installation which was a nice touch.

Paul Ruther was the salesman that came to my house to give me an estimate on an entry door. I was given the estimate and explained to Paul that I would get back to him at the end of the week as I had other companies coming out as well. He became very rude and angry and could not understand why I wasn't going to just sign his contract and use his company. He then began to talk about my windows and how cheap they were and how bad the company was that I used. I had to stand up and let him know that it was time to leave my home. It was a complete waste of time and I would never call them again or refer them to anyone!

I was given a complete estimate. The installers were delayed by one day due to previous project delayed by weather. The men worked fast and steadily. They cleaned up everyday and installed the siding as requested. There was an error in mounting the mailbox, when I called them to report this, they installed it correctly, replaced the siding with the holes and left me some extra pieces of siding for use in future repairs. They even put insulation and siding under my newly installed front porch where there were unprotected walls.

Came twice to measure and confirm order. Window installers arrived as scheduled and worked through the rain when the siding crew did not. Completed job as scheduled. I found one window frame pushed into house and some unsealed areas on insides of windows. Called and crew came that night to do repairs. All windows are now properly sealed and window frame was pushed back into place. During the visit, Ken found one window in a different room that had a badly placed gasket. A new portion of window has been ordered to replace that pane and will be installed as soon as it is ready. The capping looks great and my house is now much lighter inside without all the dirty windows and screens. I will be removing all the miniblinds and replacing them with sheers to allow the light into the house. One of the window frames was installed badly by previous owner. Window crew adjusted window so that siding and window frame now appear level and straight which they did not before this project.

I made an appointment on 3/9/2006 for 6:30 p.m. on 3/14/2006 for soffits and fascia only. After leaving work early (5:15 for me)to be home for the appointment, the salesman never showed up or called that evening to change or cancel the appointment. The next day, 3/15/2006 when I returned to the office, I had a voicemail from the salesman saying he would be unable to make it because he was far out in the suburb and in no way would be able to get there. 1) why did he call me at the office when he had my home number. 2) why didn't he call me in advance (the day before or earlier the day of.

Overall experience was good, with a few snags. 1) we asked the salesman to stay in touch with us during 6-8 week period windows were being constructed; he didn't. 2) Salesman said insulating the window weight voids was always done; crew wouldn't do it because we had to pay extra. A call to the office straightened it out. But then I felt I had to stand and watch every window go in to be sure that the insulation went in. 3) I asked the crew to NOT throw debris out the windows; for the most part they complied, but they did drop some stuff, damaged some shrubs, threw some stuff on the public sidewalk. There were a few tense moments, but it could have been a lot worse. We LOVE the windows: triple glazed, double low-E coating. Very effective. Their price seemed a little high, but we didn't find an exactly comparable product with which to compare them.

THEY DID A REAL NICE JOB FINISHING EVERYTHING UP AND LEFT THE PLACE PRETTY CLEAN.

WORKMANSHIP WAS EXCELLENT EVEN THOUGH I HAD SOME ODD SIZED WINDOWS. CLEANED UP AREA AFTER WORK WAS DONE.

THEY ARE OWNED AND OPERATED BY RETIRED POLICE OFFER. THEY WERE VERY TIMELY AS WELL. I AM GOING TO HIRE THEM FOR WINDOWS AS WELL.

WORKERS WERE ON TIME, WORKED VERY HARD, CLEANED UP WELL, AND DID A GOOD JOB.

THE PRODUCTS THEY RESELL/DISTRIBUTE ARE FINE, HOWEVER THEIR INSTALLATION SERVICES ARE VERY POOR AND THEY DO NOT PROVIDE ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE OR CONSIDERATION. THE ORDER WAS NOT INVENTORIED PRIOR TO ARRIVAL; ONE THIRD OF THE ORDER WAS INCORRECT AND HAD TO BE REORDERED. OUR DOORBELL WAS BROKEN BY THE INSTALLATION STAFF, THE STAFF LEFT ONE AFTERNOON WITHOUT NOTICE LEAVING THE ENTIRE RESIDENCE UNSECURED, THREE DOORS WERE NOT INSTALLED PROPERLY REQUIRING ONE TO TWO RETURN VISITS FOR EACH ISSUE, AND LEAST OF ALL THEY DO NOT CLEAN UP AFTER THEMSELVES. WHEN WE BROUGHT OUR DISSATISFACTION TO THE ATTENTION OF THE OWNERS THEY RESPONDED RUDELY, WERE ARGUMENTATIVE, AND DID NOT WANT TO PROVIDE ANY CONSIDERATION FOR THE MANY INCONVENIENCES THEY CAUSED. MR. JOHNSON IS UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE WHEN CONFRONTED WITH A COMPLAINT. THEY DO NOT DELIVER ON THE EXPECTATIONS SET DURING THE SALES PROCESS AND ARE CLEARLY DISINTERESTED IN REPEAT BUSINESS.

THE COMPANY SENT OUT A TEAM OF TWO; ONE INSTALLER WHO WAS TOTALLY PROFESSIONAL AND A YOUNGER GUY WHO WAS NOT SO PROFESSIONAL. THE YOUNGER GUY DID NOT COVER MY COMPUTER UP EVEN THOUGH HE WAS REMOVING THE WINDOW RIGHT NEXT TO IT. HE ALSO TRAMPLED SOME OF MY FLOWERS. THE OLDER GUY WAS AMAZING AND THE WINDOWS THAT HE INSTALLED WERE GREAT.

THERE WAS A REAL BREAKDOWN IN COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THE PEOPLE WHO PLAN THE JOB AND GIVE THE ESTIMATES AND THE PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY DO THE WORK. THEY SHOWED UP A FEW TIMES UNPREPARED TO COMPLETE CERTAIN PARTS OF THE JOB. I GOT THE ESTIMATE AND THE WORK WAS NOT COMPLETED UNTIL A FULL 7 MONTHS LATER. WE WERE TOLD BY ONE PERSON TO STRIP SOME OF THE NICE OLD WOODWORK, AND DID, ONLY TO HAVE ONE OF THE WORKMEN TEAR IT DOWN. IT WAS PROBLEM WITH COMMUNICATION. THE WORK WAS DONE WELL, BUT ONE HAS TO BE SURE THEY ALL UNDERSTAND THE JOB.

THIS WAS A FAIRLY STRAIGHT FORWARD JOB THAT THEY EXECUTED WELL. ONE PROBLEM DID ARISE: I HAD SIGNED THE CONTRACT WITHOUT NOTICING THAT THE WRONG TYPE OF GLASS WAS SPECIFIED. WHEN I RETURNED HOME TO SEE WHAT HAD BEEN INSTALLED I WAS DISMAYED TO FIND THE WRONG GLASS. THE SALESMAN, BILL, AGREED TO HAVE THE GLASS CHANGED AT NO ADDITIONAL COST DESPITE THE CONTRACT BECAUSE HE REMEMBERED (EVEN THOUGH IT WAS 2 MONTHS LATER) DISCUSSING THE OTHER TYPE OF GLASS WITH ME. SINCE I HAD SIGNED THE CONTRACT, THEY COULD HAVE STUCK ME WITH THE WRONG GLASS, BUT ELECTED TO MAKE THE CHANGE.

GREAT SALES PITCH, JUST TOO EXPENSIVE.
