Bill was very accessible and came out the next day. We had a small problem after he left where the repair did not work and he came out the same day to repair the repair. The repair consisted of slightly bending the piece he affixed to the gate so it seemed to be a bit of a rudimentary fix therefore I scored him down a bit on quality, but still gave a B. Bill is awesome and I highly recommend him.

I needed three locks replaced and called Amazing based on the fact they were somewhat close and had good reviews. On a weekend morning I called before 9am. I was not in any real hurry but they said they would send someone out that morning. Before 11am all of my locks were changed out. Good and fast service. No complaints.

He asked for a picture of the lock when I called. Mr. Menard confirmed in writing, yes, they could do it. I called and scheduled him to come in the afternoon. The locksmith called when he was 10 minutes away, and when he arrived. They are great. It didn't take long and we felt he will be our first choice in future for locksmith jobs. We are very pleased with their work.

Amazing Locks is both BETTER and LESS EXPENSIVE than any other locksmith in Chicago. I have a rental property in Chicago, and having access to a reliable, trustworthy, intelligent, and personable locksmith in the area has made remote property management much easier. I have used Amazing for years for all sorts of things -- installing and rekeying interior and exterior locks, repairing unusual and antique locks, tenant lockouts, auto lockouts, etc... Their technicians will clearly explain all your options and will not push the most expensive one when a simpler, less expensive option will suit your needs. If you need a locksmith in Chicago, I highly recommend Amazing.

We just moved into a new place and we had all of the locks rekeyed. We also had to have one of the door knobs repaired. At our closing, the seller's agent called a locksmith in the area and got an estimate of $300 for the work and they based the credit from the seller on this amount. I've used Amazing Locks twice in the past so I decided to call them to actually perform the work. I called on a Tuesday to schedule work for the next day. They were on time, incredibly professional and the work cost $100 less than the quote from the other locksmith. I highly recommend Amazing Locks and will continue to use them whenever this type of service is needed.

We needed a new lock for the 100-year-old front door of our vintage two-flat. The door was too thick for the standard locks you can buy at a regular hardware store. I called at 8:30, they were here by 10:00, and had the lock installed by 11:00. The person I talked with on the phone seemed to know exactly what I was talking about with the door being too thick and asked specific questions about what kind of new lock we wanted, so they would know what lock to bring along. Good service for a fair price.

I was able to get an appointment quickly and they were on time and got the locks done quickly.

Amazing Lock to the Rescue!!! I work for a non profit and we had reoccuring issues with our door handle / lock. We had someone who gave us a "good deal" originally install it and the door handle fell off every time someone closed the door!! Friday morning I called Amazing Lock and explained our issue...by 3:00 we had a brand new door handle and we were able to keep the current lock. It took Gerald 20 min to install it. He was awesome and very professional!! I would not hesitate to use their services again!! Highly recommend. Thanks Gerald!!!!

I've lived in my condo just under one year. Before moving in, I had the locks changed and re-keyed by another locksmith (not Amazing Lock and not one I got from Angie's List). It is a condo door leading to a common hallway. There was also a problem with the deadbolt being out of alignment, causing the door to be difficult to lock and unlock. This would be potentially dangerous in case of an emergency. The first locksmith replaced the lock and realigned the deadbolt. It worked well for a while, but then failed again. That locksmith was out a total of four times and the lock never actually worked well. (I'll do a separate review on that locksmith.) After the lock becoming non-functional for the 4th time, I checked Angie's List and chose Amazing Lock Service, based on ratings and proximity to my home. I explained the problem with the previous locksmith and scheduled the appointment. The locksmith, Nick, arrived as scheduled and offered me an option of upgrading to a higher quality lock, which I chose to take. He was efficient and tested the lock after installation. The problem with misalignment showed up again after a day or so. I called Amazing Lock Service and they sent Nick back out the same day I called. He adjusted the lock and increased the size of the hole into which the deadbolt went. That was in the beginning of April and I have had no problems since. I'm writing this review on June 20th. I suppose it should not have been necessary to call the second time because I explained the alignment problem in advance, but it seemed to be a tricky issue. The fact that they responded quickly, did not charge for the second visit, and resolved the issue are all points in their favor. I would recommend Amazing Lock Service and would use them again.

The locksmith arrived right when he was supposed to, and was very professional and fast.

I called Amazing Locksmith at 8 AM and they arrived within 30 minutes. The serviceman was very helpful and how the door opened within a few minutes. He even fixed my lock as the key had been sticking and the key unlocks without any problems! Given others in the neighborhood, Aamazing Lock is also a little cheaper than others. I hope I don't have the need to use them again but if I did, I would call them and recommend them to others.

We moved into a new home and needed to change all the locks. Previously, each door had a separate lock and key. They were able to rekey the whole house onto one key, including the garage entrance door. Took maybe an hour max. Keys work great.

The technician, (name?, sorry), was very professional and managed to to stay out of the way of our movers. He completed his work in less than an hour. I would definitely use them again.

I called them up for a re-key of a condo I just took ownership of. They were very courteous over the phone and were able to schedule an appt very quickly and asked all the appropriate questions in advance. The locksmith came and was in and out in 30 mins after re-keying the deadbolt. Left me with several spare keys. Great job! And very reasonably priced for Angie's List members.

Nick was great. They sent him out within 20min of calling, the price was great, and everything was done just as expected. I would definitely use these guys again.

They were great. They were friendly, knowledgable, efficient. He made me feel really good about the idea that he was a good locksmith. They were really thorough.

David was prompt, quick, and professional. Prices are fair. I'd definitely recommend them and will use them again. My only complaint would be that I couldn't use my Angie's List coupon for an after hours call. It would be nice if the coupon stated that.

This was the third time we have used Amazing Lock Service and every time has been a very good experience. In every situation, they made themselves available within an hour and were professional in every way. We used them, the first time, to do repair work on a lock we had just had replaced by another comany who charged us three time what we paid Amazing Lock Service. The previous company had used an inferior door handle and lock that did not match the others in the condo building. We knew this would be a problem with the board, so we just asked Amazing Lock Service to replace it with the correct brand. The second and third times were to replace an interior door handle and to cut off a padlock when the keys were lost. If we had known how good this company was before, it would have saved us over $400.

He was very polite and personable and I would use them again!He answered all of my questions and addressed my concerns as a new homeowner about the locks.

We called Amazing Lock Service first thing in the morning. They said someone would be at our hose between 9 and 11am that day and, sure enough, someone arrived at 9:45am. The service provider was polite, focused on the job and while he seemed to struggle a little with the lock (which I suppose means it really was broken and not just fussy), he was able to fix it. He also ground down the 'other side' of the lock so as to allow the bolt to line up better and thus put less pressure on the lock mechansim. If the repair holds up (too early to tell), this was well worth the $90.

They were prompt, extremely courteous, and made sure we knew exactly what they intended to do. They were extremely professional and my only disappointment is that we didn't call them years ago!

This is response to the service provider's response. Calling a reviewer "crazy" is totally unacceptable. These are the facts When I called the person was quite curt. He promised to call that day and he didn't. I can understand that he was busy. That would have been resolved simply by a courteous statement such as, "We are now extremely busy, Sir. So I don't think we will be able to provide the service today. Perhaps you could try calling us later today." Then the matter would have been settled. Such courtesy is especially important when the customer is already anxious about the lock to the front door of the house having broken during a weekend. Calling the customer names is not goood business paractice.
