They were available to start on the job within days after our windows were installed. After stripping all the wallpaper they replaced the drywall around the windows, and informed us that the ceiling in the bathroom needed some reinforcement. The walls were then replastered and sanded as smooth as a baby's behind. Beautiful job, prepping them for a perfect painting job! They added crown molding all around the bedroom ceiling; built wide window sills on 2 of the windows so that we can sit there and read or enjoy looking at the outdoors. They stained the sills to a perfect match to the window finish (which had been done elsewhere). We also asked them to add a ceiling fan in the bedroom. Additionally we decided to replace the toilet. At some point we debated about doing a entire remodeling of the bathroom and they were extremely helpful in pointing out what would be involved, not pushing to have extra work done. We eventually decided to postpone the larger job (the additional cost for ceiling repair was very reasonable). The room is now stunning. Really wish we had taken some "before" pictures (but who would have wanted to). They finished the job exactly within the time frame given, despite some additional work. The workers were extremely courteous, punctual and neat, and very detail-minded. We will definitely call on this company again as soon as we are ready for our next project.

The company contacted us by telephone and followed up with a visit and an estimate. They provided references in our suburb which was comforting. They made recommendations for redesign which were very good with what they had to work with. The cabinet company they used and the design consultant, Sarah, were excellent. The carpenters worked quickly and expertly. They had to deal with some problems inherent in an 80-year-old home which were no longer problems when they finished. The president followed up with us every day, usually in person. He told us when certain accessories would be needed so we would have them in time. The work proceeded as quickly as possible with very little downtime. The downtime was usually due to outside circumstances, like the granite cutting. The company source for the granite had a great selection. While remodeling a kitchen is by no means a pleasant experience, this company performed the work as quickly as possible and responded to any concerns we had. A couple of cabinet doors had to be replaced and this was done without hassle. Communication during the job was better than any we had previously experienced. We did not have to worry about subcontractors showing up on a particular day. They all kept the job going. They also did their best to contain dust, but it seems to be impossible to do!

The project went very well. AM Chicago took a very careful and detailed approach to the work. At the start of the project they worked with me to determine the scope. They made recommendations as to what was feasible and what wasn't. They had excellent ideas for how to accomplish our objectives. They were always very professional. Once they started the process, they worked continuously, no gaps while waiting for subcontractors to be available. They were also very flexible. When we ran into some unanticipated issues, Julian worked with me to get them resolved. Julian was also very good about staying in contact with me during the project. Nearly every day he would call to give me an update of how the work was going and what would be done during the next few days. Overall, a very positive experience.

AM Chicago Design & Build did an excellent job from start to finish. Julian Tunno met with me and we discussed the requirements and within the week was back with a detailed project proposal, including scope of work and prices and allowances. Julian provided advice and counsel on the purchase of fixtures, tiles, etc. The work proceeded as scheduled and was completed on time and on budget. All employees had excellent skill sets and were professional and courteous and there was daily management review of progress. Extreme care was taken to keep the construction (dust, noise, etc.) from impacting the rest of the living environment. The communication was excellent and AM Chicago delivers on their commitment.
