Description of Work: We used an Angie's List coupon to tune up our two furnaces. The overall furnace work was okay, I assume, but one of the humidifiers was broken and their follow up was horrendous. The tech left one of the covers completely off of the furnace humidifier and indicated that new parts would need to be ordered for the second furnace humidifier. The parts were finally estimated to cost $200. A salesman was supposed to call me back and quote a new humidfier, but never contacted me. The person I did speak with quoted a new humidifier as roughly $400. I went online at a furnace supply store, ordered a replacment Honeywell furnace humidifier, for $150, and installed it myself. Due to this poor service, I would not recommend All Temp and won't be using them again. I had hoped to buy a maintenance contract but it was never quoated and I'm no longer interested.

 + -1 moreMark arrived 20 minutes early from All-temp to perform the first of two maintenance services--one in the fall and one in the spring. As soon as Mark called letting me know he was early, I knew I was in for good service. Mark took the time to a) explain my dual zone HVAC systems, b) provide background on the humidifiers and c) answer all other questions that I had during his visit. I was very much impressed with the knowledge that Mark had of the units. I was even more impressed with his service! Mark pointed out to me the areas of the system that often tend to fail as a result of not being cleaned regularly. He even went so far as to point out things to keep in mind when purchasing the filters for the units. All-in-all All-temp got an "A" for excellent service. Thanks Mark.

Description of Work: I was able to reschedule my original appointment with no problems. The company called 30 min. before the tech's arrival to tell me he was on the way. The tech cleaned and checked both of my furnaces, got me more efficient filters for one, and looked at the humidifier. I had an Angie's List deal - I believe it was $39 for each furnace. The humidifier check and filter were extra. The tech was very courteous and professional, wore booties in the house, and was careful that my two cats didn't go where they shouldn't.

The service involved checking out each AC unit and cleaning the filter inside, and also cleaning the units outside as well. Additional coolant was added to one unit as part of the cost. They answered my call immediately (on Christmas morning) and sent someone out in less than 2 hr. The repairman discovered and solved the problem quickly. He was courteous and his work was professional. The cost of the service call was higher than normal because it was a holiday. I would definitely recommend All-Temp to anyone who needs heating/cooling service.
Description of Work: I needed emergency service on my furnace, which had stopped working sometime during the night. The problem turned out to be a clogged air filter that caused the fan to shut down, which required cleaning but no new parts.

 + -1 moreCalled back 7/5/12 No cold air. Zac replaced 5lbs. freon, fixed clog in ptrap and drip in humidifier tube, saw unit on roof, and fell asleep up there. Later I got a bill for $321.00

They cleared out vines that covered my air conditioner, cleaned and checked the freon levels. As it was a very hot summer, I was happy to know my air conditioner was in good shape.

 + 0 moreThe Tech was great, extremely nice and professional. You could tell he loved his work.
Description of Work: All temp came out and fixed the heating issues. They replaced a high circuit controlpiece. Essentially the blowers were going on but this piece was not coordinating to also have the gas on. All you would get is cold air circulating. The filters were also covered in dog hair and drywall dust. The technician mentioned it wouldn't be a bad idea to have the ducts cleaned. He also showed us the difference in the old filter vs the new filter. Huge difference in air flow. That alone will make a difference in the unit longevity.

 + -1 moreI called because the people who rent this condo from us called me to say that the air was not working. So, I needed a company that would do the work and then let me pay for the service over the phone. They came Friday night (after hours service), found that the unit was low on freon and that the cooling coils were extremely dirty. The service tech cleaned the coils, refilled the freon and tested the unit. Then he called me to advise what work he performed, took my payment informaiton and everything was done perfectly. I contacted our renters and they advised that he was very professional and that everything was working great. This was good since the summer was quite the warm one.
Description of Work: Air conditioner was not working properly. The unit would run, but was not getting cool. The unit is in a condo, so is one of those one-in-one type (central gas forced heat and central air all combined) that is in a closet and attaches to an external wall where the air conditioning coils face the outside and the 'chimney' vents out too.

 + -1 moreHe did his inspection for the a/c and investigated with my husband where that odor was coming from. After checking the A/C unit, he also checked the furnace and then made some recommendations to my husband regarding the odor.
Description of Work: It was a good experience! He inspected the A/C unit and gave my husband recommendations. We had a really bad odor coming from the sit ducts, and he made sure it was not the A/C nor the Heating unit. He checked everything to see where the odor was coming from. Made some recommendations and suggestions how to fix the odor problem. He did his service and wen beyond the call of duty. The only thing I would had liked is that he recommended the cover the tubbing from outside of the A/C that goes from the unit to the wall of the house. Those copper tubes have a covering and the neighbor rabbits have chewed on the covering and needed some new covering. But he didn't recommend to change it or offered to change it. I know if the copper tubes are well insulated that helps the a/c.
