All Temp Heating & Air Conditioning

Replaced old furnace and air conditioner with high-efficiency furnace and new air conditioner. Price was excellent, work was done punctually, and we're thrilled with our new furnace!

Called All Temp at 8:00 AM on Saturday to service my non-functioning AC unit. They told me they'd be here by 2 this afternoon, but noted the appointment as ASAP. The tech got here at 9, and by 9:15 my AC was up and running. They were a bit pricey, but with service like that top dollar seems a small price to pay.

All Temp was great to work with. They worked with us over the phone on a Saturday to come to our condo (which is a rental property) on a Monday to make the repairs. Since it is a condo downtown, they had some good background questions and told us they would look both in the condo and on the roof of the building where the unit was. When they had a cancellation, they even called to see if they could come early but were fine when that didn't work with our schedule and honored our original time. When they determined that the issue was low freon levels, they called to inform us of the problem, identify how they could fix it and give us information on how much it would cost. Since the charge is based on how much freon is needed which you can't tell until you put it in, he explained how he was estimating how much he thought we would need and how he would determine how much was actually used. We received a prompt follow up call with the final price. We would definitely use them again!

The installer arrived on time and was very professional. He removed the old hot water heater, installed the new one, and explained how it should be maintained all in less than 3 hours. The hot water heater has worked very well, and I have not had any problems with it. This is the 3rd appliance I have purchased from All Temp. The others were a furnace and air-conditioning system. Because my experience with the HVAC installation was so positive, I decided to go with All Temp again for the hot water heater. I plan to use All Temp to service my appliances annually, and I recommend them highly.

Two installers worked well within the time parameters set by the company. Installers were neat and polite. Both worked quickly and professionally. Old heater and A/C were hauled off. New units were installed, tested and demonstrated. In addition to the A/C unit on roof, new coil was installed on main floor. Old humidifier was removed and hauled off. Salesman, Matthew Geisel was exceptional. Answered all questions and was a joy to work with. Highly recommend these folks if you are in the market for heating or air conditioning.

All Temp Heating & Air Conditioning were good. It was a positive experience. I don't know that I have anything that specific, other than everything went smoothly. They were on time. They seemed to have done a good job. Everything has been working in good order. They were polite and efficient.

Professional, good quality work, explained everything so that I could understand what was done.

All Temp Heating & Air Conditioning was fine. There were parts that were broken so they charged us for parts. I don't think it was very expensive. My air-conditioner was broke before they came and it was fixed when they left.

It went very well. They installed everything and they were punctual. My only complaint about them is that when I tried to order filters, their company passed me from one place to the other and I ended up buying it online. So I'm not sure about their afterward service. But the installation that they did was good and the unit works fine.

Inspection of furnace went well. I also purchased another Big Deal to inspect/clean A/C unit, service man explained he couldn't inspect unit because it was too cool outside and suggested waiting to reschedule. It didn't get any warmer in the season and the big deal expired, wasted 49 bucks...

We got their deal, it was very good and we did have a little of a problem with them. We got that straightened out. We have had this in the past and asked for a particular repairman to come out and they sent someone else out that did not look like he was up to the job. They said that they had made a mistake and sent they sent the other guy out and everything was all right after that. I am going to continue to use them. He came out with in a week of purchasing the big deal. I was impressed with their equipment.

They very friendly, polite and did a good job. I would certainly use them again.

I had problems and they weren't able to resolve them and I ended up having to go to another company. I would say that the technician that was sent out wasn't very well qualified. From what I remember, he was three or four days on the job.

I have actually used them since I purchased the big deal. I would use them again.

It has been an awful experience getting our A/C units serviced. In three visits, they have first diagnosed an issue with one of the machines they installed, and subsequently have been out to specifically repair a coil. On both occasions the technician was sent without proper instructions or the equipment to conduct the repairs. Instead, they've refilled our leaking units with freon that last less than a day, leaving us without air conditioning for over a month. When attempting to get them back out to actually perform the job, they "try to fit us in sometime in the next week" as if it's a huge hassle and somehow our fault. It seems to me they specialize in selling and installing new units, but they fall short on customer service and responsiveness if you need them for any type of maintenance. Very frustrating.

They were good. They charged me more than the big deal, because I have two furnaces. I have used them again.

It went went well and we even hired them again the next year. They did not try to add more services or prodcuts or anything like that.

All Temp Heating & Air Conditioning was fantastic. We have a three-story and we're having problems getting the top floor cooled. The tech's name was Miguel, and he was great. I'm a smart guy, but don't know much about houses. Eager to learn. He talked to me at just the right level, not over my head, or pandering. I learned a lot, and was very happy with the work he did, hosing down several components which had gotten dusty and tuning up pieces that needed to be tuned. I didn't have to pay more than the big deal purchase. Fantastic.

It was a miserably hot day and i had the flu. With my broken air con I thought I would not survive. I called and they fit me in immediately ( although there was some glitch with the notification and it took them 2 hours to arrive). The Technician was so nice. He was clean, thorough and explained all the possible actions. he gave me options and went above and beyond. To be honest he could have sold me anything as sick as I was but he was patient and honest and told me what i needed and didn't need.

It's just that another month later my air conditioning cranked up.

Excellent service ! They identified that the coil was destroyed with debris through our venting system. Before commencing work they even did a check on the system to see if it was still under warranty for us ... it was and they toook care of ordering and then installing. They saved us over $2K by just simply checking this out for us ... we honestly would not have thought of it .... Installation guys were here exactly on time and very knowledgable and explained and showed us the old system and where the problem was ... Thanks for a job really well done ... A very reputable and straight company. Would def. use them again !!!!1

This was a disaster all around. The only reason I did not give them a complete F is that the president called to make amends. (If you read the reviews, it would seem that this is his full-time job.) Also, the maintenance guys are great. It's the sales and intall that are terrible. Note: this review is for service in June 2012. I haven't gotten around to writing the review until now, but feel compelled to do so, as I am still trying to figure out who to use for maintenance of my system and to assess whether or not I can install a damper in my system. I contacted All Temp in May 2012 to schedule an estimate on the replacement of my furnace in addition to scheduling a routine maintenance visit; this proved to be the first indication of problems. On June 1, service technician Armando came for the routine maintenance call and confirmed my concerns with my older system. However, I was informed that he does not do estimates at all, something I made clear I needed upon making arrangements to be home at the scheduled time. He called your sales-rep John Lillis to schedule an estimate. John called me a day later and we scheduled the estimate for a Sunday between 9 and 10:30am. On Sunday I had to call All Temp as John had not shown up within the scheduled timeframe. John called me back afterwards but failed to show up until after noon. We discussed replacing my AC unit since the current one was leaking Freon. I then explained to him my reasoning for the possible replacement of my furnace ? not because it didn?t work properly, but because I needed to reduce the footprint of the furnace to install a dependable whole-home humidifier to fix a humidity issue. Since I was replacing the furnace, I additionally asked for a quote on the installation of variable speed fan. When John explained the advantage of installing an electronic damper system, I said that would be great. He then mentioned that the installation team would need to open up the ductwork to see if this was possible; however, John failed to mention that this would require a second visit after the furnace installation. He also stated, in no uncertain terms, that All Temp would cover the expense of the crane required to lift the AC to my roof. After we came to an agreement on price for the specified work and equipment, John said that he would email me the contract and we set a time for installation the following Saturday, June 9. I wrote a check for the deposit in the amount of $2665. I hadn?t received my quote by Wednesday and I had to call All Temp, who then relayed a message to John, who then emailed me my quote late Wednesday night. I confirmed that we were set for Saturday. John added to the estimate the cost of the humidifier, which he didn?t have at the time of the quote. Bryan and Jamie showed up on time on Saturday morning to begin the repairs. They worked diligently and took care with my hardwood floors. At one point, I asked them about the humidifier and electronic dampers. They mentioned that there wasn?t room in my closet to fit the humidifier, in addition to the fact that they didn?t even have the parts to install the damper. I was very upset upon the realization that I was getting a new furnace that would not solve any of the problems I had mentioned in my discussion with John. I called All Temp, received your answering service, which then had Kelly call me. When I spoke to her and explained the situation, she said that she would have someone call me back. John calls and tries to explain to me why the electronic dampers could not be installed at this time. Clearly, this is something that was not explained to me upfront. I was expecting that the crew would arrive with all the necessary parts and equipment and if it could be done, installed at that time. John and Bryan spoke on how to rectify my humidifier solution; however no one ever discussed the situation with me. John never called back. Kelly never called to check on me. Bryan and Jamie installed some additional ducts that allow the humidifier to work, but effectively have prevented the possibility of installing an electronic damper. To make matters worse, upon the arrival of the crane needed to lift the AC unit to my roof, I was told that I was wholly responsible for paying the crane operator. This was not in my contract and John had specifically stated the opposite to me. I reluctantly wrote a check for $450 to the crane operator and subtracted the amount from my total bill. To add to the ridiculousness of my experience, a few days after the work, I received an invoice stating that I still owed the $2529, essentially the amount of my deposit. John managed to lose the deposit check I had given him! After a long letter to management, Rick (?) the president called me and apologized profusely. He refunded my money for the crane and gave me an additional discount for the trouble. He promised that someone would look into whether or not we could still install the damper. After a few calls to try and follow-up on that, I never heard back. Essentially, once we got the financial part settled, I never got any follow-up on my additional needs.

The fairly new central AC on the top floor of a small apartment building I own would not shut off. John from All-Temp did an amazing job diagnosing what the problem was, which wasn't easy because the company that had originally installed the unit did so in a strange way that caused the motherboard to short out. Besides that, the temperature control wiring for the zoned units followed no logic. In addition, one of the dampers wouldn't open in one of the units. In other words, it was a mess, and not at all easy to diagnose. John made one trip earlier in the week to diagnose the problem, which he did so in a meticulous way by starting at the condenser and working back towards the thermostat. He discovered a short in the motherboard. He ordered another one with my permission and then came back out two days later to install it. It was then he discovered the problem with the messed up zoned units. He was there for several hours and didn't charge me anything except for his cost for the motherboard. He got everything working (except for the one unit with the screwed up damper) and gave me very clear instructions for a no-cost work-around so that the unit won't malfunction again despite all of the flaws with its installation. And he also gave me an option for getting the damper working (I would need to have a hatch installed in the ceiling so he could get to the damper. Otherwise, he explained, they'd have to tear the ceiling up in the unit to try to find where the wires and motor are for the damper.) I should mention that we have used All-Temp to service our furnace at home. I only used Deljo for my building because the contractor on that project recommended them. From now on, it's All-Temp all the way for me!

The specialist was supposed to come at 11:30, but after an hour of waiting and no phone calls, I called the company to see what was happening. After waiting a few minutes, i was connected with a guy in the "service" department, who tried to connect me to to "sale" department, for some reason, but every time someone answered, they pretended that they are not responsible for appointments, and will connect me to the right person. Finally I was connected to a mail box where I left a message explaining the situation and asking to be called back. No call back. After another 2 hours, I called again hoping that this time I will be able to find out something. I was also concerned about my other appointment for servicing my old units, and wanted to find out if there is a record and if they are going to come. Amazingly, the same situation happened. i was given the runaround, the service guys answered, but they did not have access to appointments, did not know anything, I was put on hold 4 times, another service guy answered, then somebody misidentified me with another poor customer. Finally I raised my voice and asked for someone who is responsible, whoever he is, and I was connected with John. He sounded reliable, gave me his direct phone, and promise to call me back after making a few calls to find out. What did I think? Nobody called back, of course. I was wandering, in such a big company with departments, smooth telephone music and announcements about reliability, trust and customer satisfaction, is it possible that nobody can find out if you are on their schedule or not?. I understand that misunderstandings, or missed appointments can happen to anybody, but their communication and records are horrendous. I will not want to deal with them again.
