This was a great experience and I will call them again in a heartbeat. This was a weekend repair. They gave me a very accurate estimate of when the repairman would come, were both professional and friendly, and the repair itself was done well and quickly. I especially appreciate the explanation of how to find out what's wrong and how to tell the repairman what may be wrong. Altogether a great experience. And the price was a lot lower than I thought it would be.

Old Furnace died. They were very responsive, salesman came out that day, measured and gave us a range of options. They had the furnace we wanted in stock and installed it the next day. Installers arrived 15 minutes early and were very professional, cleaned up after themselves. We are very happy!

I am very dissappointed with these people. I feel like they had no concern or regard for my problem. I would never recommed this company.

I purchased a home with a 30 to 40 year-old furnace. Whether or not it could have lasted a few more winters, it certainly could not have been very efficient, so we decided to replace it before it failed during a cold snap. We also needed a humidifier. I requested estimates from four companies. All Temp had the best price. The estimator, Matthew, went to great lengths to explain options and explain the work that would be done. This was in contrast to other companies that took a look around and gave me a price without discussing what I might want. Matthew gave me an education on furnaces. He explained the different features to consider. I purchased a furnace with a variable speed motor which cost a bit more up front but will work more efficiently and save on my electrical bill soon enough that I will quickly recover the additional cost. I really appreciated him helping me find the right furnace. Some may not be interested in these details. If you are, call All Temp and request Matthew. The installation went great. The two installers were efficient, courteous, and professional. They took care to explain what they were doing. My experiences with All Temp were very good.

I would give them B across the board. Nothing stood out. I don't believe there was additional cost.

We have been using them for about a year now. Other companies give you a huge window of when they will arrive, however they give you a specific time and they are prompt. They came in and had nice booties on their feet so they are tidy. One technician comes out to do the work and it usually takes an hour to complete. Scheduling is excellent as well and they explain everything to me about the system.

I was very impressed by All Temp Heating and Air Conditioning. First, their prices were about average, if not slightly better, than other providers that gave us quotes for the project. Second, it was easy to schedule an installation and they arrived on time. Most importantly, they were very professional throughout all stages of the installation process. I was most impressed by the two crews that came to the house to install the air conditioner, and later, the furnace. I requested the same crew come to do the furnace install, and was disappointed when they couldn't come, because I was sure I was not going to find another team that was as courteous and careful, but I was wrong! The second crew they sent to install the furnace was just as pleasant and professional as the first! Of course they were all careful to protect our white carpet, but they were all just generally pleasant people to have in your home. I applaud All Temp for employing and training individuals who are not only good at the mechanical side of their job, but are nice human beings.

Great service. The serviceman arrived on time and quickly serviced 2 furnaces and a humidifier. He was knowledgeable and left each location clean. I signed up for their yearly maintenance program, so I will see them again in the spring for my A/Cs!

Last week, on the first day of extreme cold weather (temps dropped below 50 degrees), the furnace at my mom's house decided to stop working. I went on Angie's list and found All Temp. The reviews looked good so I decided to try this company out. Eddie answered my call and was the most patient and nicest person ever! I was giving him a hard time because I work about an hour from my mom's house and was worried about not being present when the repair person came (they give you a 2 hour window). My time frame was 12pm and 2pm. Eddie agreed to call me at 8am the day of the appointment to give me an update on the repair person's schedule for the day and to my pleasant surprise he promptly called me at 8am! I was very impressed! He then called me again at 11am to tell me that the repair person would most likley come between 12:30 and 1pm. Niko arrived around 12:45pm. Eddie's diligence and attentiveness really helped to prevent me from having to take too much time off of work. SO VERY THANKFUL for Eddie! Niko figured out that the motor to the furnace was broken. Luckily, he had a spare one in his truck and replaced it for me. He tested everything to make sure it was running and there was a buzzing noise, but he fixed it. Of course, just my luck, about 30 minutes after Niko left, the buzzing was back and louder than before. I called All Temp and scheduled an appointment for someone to come back out to look at the furnace. Jose came out today to help me with the buzzing furnace. He quickly figured out that the fan attached to the motor was unbalanced and the mounting pieces on the metal part that attaches the motor and fan to the furnace were worn and cracked. He went out of his way to make sure that he could replace the fan and mounting pieces for me today in order for my mom to have a properly working furnace! Even went as far as double checking my furnace (which all was fine) and educating me on how to check my furnace and condensation control device. He is seriously the most thoughtful and thorough repairman that I've ever worked with! I honestly feel like I have not met such a trustworthy group of contractors in my life! I've been screwed over enough times with maintenance/home improvement contractors/repair people in the past that I was starting to feel like good companies like this just didn't exist anymore! In summary, THANK YOU angie's list for helping me to find this company. I will definitely be using them for my annual check/cleaning/maintenace of the AC/furnace at my mom's house. Also, I just want to reiterate that Jose was PHENOMENAL. I would suggest anyone in the beverly/evergreen park/blue island/oak lawn/cicero area to DEFINITELY request for Jose. You will not be sorry!

Unfortunately my washer broke recently so after looking through some Angies List reviews I found All Temp and decided to give them a try. I called to schedule an appointment and they friendly lady on the phone said they had a technician in the area and could come by later that day. How convenient! My repairman arrived right on time and figured out the problem and had an estimate for me within 15 minutes. Unfortunately he didn?t have the part he needed to fix the problem so he ended up coming back three days later to fix in on a Saturday. He was equally efficient during his 2nd visit and was in and out within 20 minutes and my washer was working like new! I would definitely recommend All Temp to anyone looking for prompt service at a low price.

part was under Warranty - cost was just labor. Professional and punctual.

We purchased our home this summer and had All Temp come and replace a valve that our inspector pointed out was broken. My husband and I know very little about boilers and since this is our first time living with one we needed extra guidance. The first gentleman seemed nice enough but seemed very concerned when he discovered our boiler was dry. He spent quite a bit of time with our boiler and I thought he did a good job. This cost us a little over $300. He also signed me up with their loyalty program, not really asking me if I wanted it, but explaining that I was saving money that way. Fast forward to October when we actually needed heat. We turned on the heater and noticed water on the ground. I contacted All Temp and they sent Jason out to look at our boiler. He explained that our overflow tank and our water feeder were both shot. He replaced the overflow tank and said he didn't have the part for the water feeder, shut off our water source, and said he'd be back another day as he had other jobs. Turning off the water source made me nervous as the guy (from the same company) who had come several months earlier told me never to do that. I checked on the boiler the next day and the psi had dropped to 0. Not sure what that meant, but remembering the guy from months ago told us that was bad, I called AllTemp back and asked for someone to come back out. I was told that no one was available to help me, but I could call Jason on his cell and ask him to talk me through it. After I hung up, I became frustrated. Why, if there was a problem that seemed to be caused by this company could no one else other than Jason help me? Why, if someone was out just a few months before did they not notice our 80 year old overflow tank and broken water feeder? Jason said that the water was probably shut off before (hence the dry boiler) because of the water feeder. Something wasn't adding up, so I called and asked for a manager. The manager offered no solutions, but said he would call Jason and find out what was going on. I waited several hours and never heard back from the manager. Finally, worried our boiler was dry, I went down and turned the water source back on when water started pouring out of the pump... A part that seemingly had not been broken before was now also shot. Unsure of what to do, I called Jason's cell and he came back that night. We had no other option and we needed heat. Now, one small leak had turned into $1,300 in parts and labor (that is with the discount of their "loyalty program"). When I asked him if his manager had called him on my behalf, he said no. I think Jason did a good job, but I still can't help but feel that I wasn't given the best service by this company. They made it seem as though Jason was their "boiler expert" then who was the guy that came out before and why was someone sent to my house who didn't know about boilers? If he did know about boilers, why didn't he see everything that was broken so we could have spaced out the work into more affordable jobs? I also think that even with the work done, the manager should have called me back or, at the very least, contacted Jason as he said he would. Sad to say, I will not be using this company again.

I had a discount for $89 dollars. He came out to inspect a boiler. He wiped the tops of the burners off while keeping them on, and vacuumed around the boiler. He was here for maybe forty minutes. I had a leak in the boiler, which I told him about when I scheduled the appointment. He notified me that he would not be able to fix the leak in the boiler. I decided to call the management and ask specifically what was going on. He went through a checklist, and included taking the tops of the burners off. We settled on sending someone else out. He came out and took a picture of the boiler, and notified me that he’d have to have someone else come out to repair the leak. I had not received a response. I spoke with Mike again, who told me that he gave me his cellphone (which wasn’t true). He offered to send someone else out, but I wound up getting this handled by another company. I requested my money back since the leak was not done, and it was not properly inspected. I have yet to receive the money back.

Excellent service, great price installed a new boiler.

They conducted an annual check on two furnaces and made a repair to one. I would use them again!

Scheduled an appointment after 4pm. I called around 2:30pm to see if I could get an idea of when the service rep would show up, and the woman I spoke with said it should not be too long after 5... that I was the second customer on the rep's schedule after 4pm. Around 6pm, after no one showed, I called back to get a better sense of timing. I left a message, and a woman called me back apologetic and said that the rep was taking longer than expected with a customer repair. She said he would be at my home around 7:45pm at the latest. I waited until 8:15pm to call back. The woman I spoke with said she would page the service rep and have someone call me. After another 15 minutes, I called back and spoke with a man who was neither apologetic, nor had any clue as to what I should do. He offered to page the service rep again, and I told him to just cancel the appointment. I called Freedom HVAC (also on Angie's List) and spoke to a man who was very helpful. I would have been fine had someone communicated with me. No communication from a service company is completely unacceptable. UPDATE: The owner called me the very next day to apologize for the communication breakdown. I appreciate that this action was taken, and he did say that they've communicated internally to make sure this doesn't happen again. I may give them a try in the future.

They were very good. They were efficient. They were thorough.

Never used them so why am I getting junk mail

When the weather turned cold outside, my husband and I noticed that the inside of our house was not much warmer despite having our furnace turned on. We called All Temp and they sent a technician out in 2 days (it was the busy time of year). The technican determined that our 20-year old furnance had finally kicked the bucket and told us he would have a salesperson call us that night to go over our options. Not 30 seconds later the salesperson called. This was already late in the evening. He even came out to our house at 8pm that night to take a look at our model and go over the different options we had. Two days later, our furnace was replaced. Everything was fast and virtually pain-free. Thanks!!

They told me that I needed to replace my furnace and that I had major breaks in it. I told them that my furnace wasn’t very old. I ended up not doing anything with them. I had another company come out to clean my system this year and they said there wasn’t anything wrong with it. They were not ethical. I would not recommend them to anybody.

As I often do when I need something done around the condo, I checked the top providers on Angie's List. I called up All Temp and they were able to come out very quickly. The sales guy, Mike, called in advance to tell me he was heading over and he arrived promptly and was very profesional in determining what type and size of furance. Of the five companies we gathered quotes, this company asked the most questions, did the most measurements, and also had a program on the laptop to help calculate the size of a Bryant furance. With that said, we live in a condo and the little room with our furance probably limited the choices and there isn't a very fine gradiation of furance sizes. The other companies that carried the same lines (specificaly Trane) all came up with the same recommendations by doing a few measurements and asking a few questions. Mike also asked me a lot of good questions to get a sense of what we were trying to accomplish and I felt like he was very sincere in explaining how furances worked and how to decide on what to purchase. We ultimately went with abt due to their amazing promotional price and level of customer service we've received on appliance installations, but I would not hesitate to recommend considering All Temp for anyone looking to price out a furnance. The Bryant furnance was competitive compared to quotes from Besco and Four Seasons, but was a bit more than Home Depot, and all of them were beat by a promotional price from abt.

Satisfactory Long time ago; don't remember details.

I called and talked to the sales man who wrote the original estimate his name is ED. I asked why a different boiler was installed, he said they did not do a bait switch. I talked to my install manager and he said I wrote down the wrong boiler number. I asked why was I not informed and what was the difference between the boilers. I went online ans researched the boilers and I wanted that specific boiler because of its features. I asked him what was the difference and he could not answer me. He offered me several things and I told him I was going to contact Bryant directly. They did a side by side of the features in some aspects they are the same. What they could not tell me is what they were charged for the different boilers. On top of that they have been out twice to service this boiler because it was not installed properly.

Called at 6pm this past Friday night. Zac, the technician, arrived at 10pm, as agreed to with the scheduler when making the appointment. Zac was very professional and quick. Fortunately, he carried the part in his truck (very common part for these furnaces) and installed it with no problem. In addition, he checked out the furnace to make sure everything else was working properly. The only negative side of the whole repair was the excessive cost of the ignitor. This replacement part can be purchased for $25.00 to $45.00, depending on where you go for replacement cost. Zac made a call to check out his figures before giving me the invoice, and the price for the ignitor alone was $149.00. I did receive the Angie's List 15% off discount, which, in my mind, brought the cost of the part down to $100.00. Considering the whole experience, I would certainly have Zac and All-Temp to come back in the future.
