All Temp Heating & Air Conditioning

Response could have been better on some calls, but service was completed to satisfaction.

This was a big job as we just purchased a home with no A/C. We were replacing a boiler/radiators and putting in a forced air unit with new duct work. After having 5 companies bid, we went with All-Temp. What impressed us is Jack was able to spot a dead-space in our house next to the chimney. The width of the deadspace was perfect to run th duct work from the basement to the attic. Additionally, they stressed how careful they would be given the age of the home and the plaster walls. Lastly, All Temp was extremely competitive on price and matched the slightly lower bid of another competitor. How did it go? I'm going to sound like an infomercial becaues it went so well. Matt and Enrique spent several weeks at the house. I was at work, but my wife and father in-law said they were wonderful company and we were all extremely impressed at how quiet and undistruptive they were. Even when cutting into the ceiling or floor they would vacuum as they cut so debris was minimized. I'd get home from work and barely know a huge project was underway. I'm by no means an HVAC expert, but I'm extemely impressed with the quality of the work. Matt, the installer, said repeatedly that he treats each house like it is his own and his work backed it up. Most importantly, the new system is performing great. From the basement to the 2nd floor, I can't really tell a temperature change at all. With the boiler, it was at least 5 degrees warmer upstairs. Additionally, the humidifier and hi-tech thermostat have been great. I have nothing but great things to say about All-Temp. Jack, Matt and Enrique were fantastic to work with and we are thrilled with the end result. It was money well spent and we are so thankful we went with All-Temp.

They did a great job. The original boiler that they brought was not the right size so they acted quickly to get the correct boiler. They got us up and running very quickly. There were two technicians here doing the work and it took 2 days to complete. So far, I am satisfied with the results.

They were able to respond quickly to fix a problem with our furnace which had malfunctioned during a very cold weekend.

Mike Clark came to the house at the agreed on time and was very professional and thorough. He explained some details about how our existing system worked that other contractors did not explain. His quote came in approximately the same cost as another contractor's but for a slightly less efficient system. So we did not select All Temp for this work. But we were very impressed with the quality and professionalism of their approach and would not hesitate to invite them to bid in the future.

Sunday morning 01.19.14, my husband's elderly brother called to say something was wrong with the heater, he had no heat. My husband went over to check & found the heating system was totally broke. We had used a heating/ac business for years but went out of business late 2012. My husband called me because I had the letter from them suggesting a few companies though they were emphatic about finding our own place. I said I would check Angie's List having recently joined. After reading several companies & customer reviews I selected ALL TEMP, the customers were very positive. He called ALL TEMP& a service man was there within 2 hours. He did a thorough complete assessment and said a new system/unit was necessary, he wasn't trying to sell a new unit as I said he was very thorough, and the current heating unit was 20+ years old. He set up a time for installation for the VERY next day (our weather temps were in the minus column). Monday the company called with an eta & 2 service men were right on time. Both were extremely professional & knowledgeable explaining what & why they were doing what they did. They were also very very courteous. The unit is great, no problems and we received follow up call to check how everything was. The rest of family will most definitely use this service in the future and will highly recommend this company. In fact a few days ago my husband notice an ALL TEMP van in front of our neighbors house, my husband told our neighbor he was in good hands!

I was extremely impressed by the knowledge level of Thorn Vollman from All Temp. Another technician had come in before him to look at the same problem and couldn't really figure it out. Thorn knew exactly what to do and got things going with our AC unit right away. Great job!

The entire process went smoothly, from the initial visit for estimating the cost, to scheduling of the installation, to the actual installation, all went very smoothly. The estimator (Jack F) who came to the house to look at the old unit was very polite and explained the process of removing the old and installing the new furnace very well. He thoroughly described the different furnace options available and the basic steps involved in the installation. The written estimate was detailed and specific so we were comfortable with what we would get for the price. Another reason we selected All-Temp was because Jack was very professional and promptly responded to emails and calls. The two installers who performed the work were professional and polite as well. Their duct work was great. A new hole through the exterior wall was drilled for intake and exhaust pipes. They worked all day and did a great job overall. After installation was completed, I contacted them about some of the exhaust pipelines contacting other pipelines. In their usual responsiveness, a person came out promptly to look at it, and determined it was all okay. The cost was slightly higher than some other estimates, but also not the the highest by any means. For the quality of service, it is a good deal. Overall I am very satisfied with All-Temp.

In June of 2013 I selected 3 brands of heating/air conditioning manufacturers to replace my 15 year old units. Then I selected one installer with good reviews on Angie's List for each brand. All-Temp provided the best value so I selected them. We set a date for the installation. On the day and they were supposed to be here I had to call after 2 hours only to learn there had been a scheduling mix up and they wouldn't be here til the next day. Next day I had to call again. This time they said someone had an emergency. They finally came out later in the day. They ran out of time so they only got the air conditioner running. They said someone would be out in a few days to complete the furnace. Since it was June the air conditioning was our major interest. After 2 months I called to check. No one new what had happened but they set a date and came out to finish. They finished the install and we noticed some scratched covers. They said they would order new covers and come out to install. Finally after 6 more months they brought out the new covers and provided 2 furnace filters for my inconvenience. Through it all they were always professional and courteous. In the end installation and the furnace/air conditioner are working fine. It seems they may need to look at their project management skills and ability to follow an order through to conclusion.

I had a good experience with All Temp Heating & Air Conditioning. They were on time and were professional. They answered every question I had and seemed to know their stuff.

I recently bought a coach house in need of significant renovation, and my top priority project was switching from baseboard heat and window A/C to a modern central heating/cooling system. I talked with most of the top reviewed companies on Angie?s List, and only one company was genuinely excited about tackling the unique challenge of modernizing a coach house with brand new HVAC, and that was All Temp. I?d read good things about Matthew on here, so I asked for him by name when I called All Temp. While most companies, after hearing about my project, didn?t even want to come out to take a look, Matthew was gung ho from the start. When he did a site visit, his creative, problem-solving mind was evident as he thought things through to develop the most efficient and cost-effective solution (where to run duct work, where to place the return, the condenser, etc.). He was incredibly responsive every step of the way, which I greatly appreciated as a first-time home buyer. All Temp?s quote was literally half of some of the estimates I was getting from other companies, and that was the same price I paid on the final day. He even went the extra mile when my condo board wanted to meet with him one evening to review the plan before installation began. Matthew assigned the best two-person installation team you could ask for in Tony and Charlie. As with Matthew, they were great at what they do, while having the useful qualities of friendliness and a sense of humor. Tony and Charlie never minded my random questions during the installation, and they promptly cleaned up after their work as they went along. I?m thankful that the great folks at All Temp didn?t shy away from what was clearly a complicated HVAC project to tackle. They?ve probably spoiled me a little bit as I embark on the rest of my renovation work, but I?ll keep singing their praises when it comes to heating and cooling.

My furnace quit cycling on it's own in the middle of the night and I had to reset it on the thermostat every 30-45 minutes. I called All Temp and they confirmed they could send someone out this afternoon. They called around 11:30 am to let me know their technician would arrive within an hour, which he did. He checked out the furnace and did not find any specific issues that could be causing the problem, so he serviced it and did a very thorough job. He was also very patient with my questions and informative.

I assume he did what he was supposed to do. Certainly nothing was mis-done. I'm used to tradesmen who talk a bit about what they see/know about the work they've come to do.This fellow did not do thiat. Upside: he didn't invent a problem, or try to sell me something - just quietly and efficiently did his work and then left.

On Sunday morning, 1/19/14, I realized that my boiler was not providing heat. I called All Temp (I have used them before and they have always been responsive and professional) and explained the situation. I set up a service call for Monday and asked that they be here as soon as possible, since 1) I had to work Monday and 2) the house would get very cold by the time they could arrive. They offered to come Sunday, but the service call would have cost $160 (as opposed to $89) so I decided to brazen it out. By the time I got up Monday morning, it was 55 degrees in my house. The service tech arrived at 9:30 and did a fantastic job. He replaced the thermocouple which had lasted almost 5 years (All Temp had last installed one on 3/6/09). He also suggested that I replace it every 3 years or so to be safe, and that I could buy one myself at a home supply store and it would be cheaper. Then they would install it for me and only charge for service.

It turned out very well. My wife dealt with him. She said that he was very professional and courteous. They gave us a top notch service. It was very positive and everything that they told us was accurate. They only come out during the weekdays. I would use them again.

The service person was punctual and worked very hard to fix problem.

I have had several interactions with All Temp and I continue to be impressed with their service. I called because I thought my electronic ail filter was malfunctioning, so I wanted them to check that out, and also do a routine furnace check, since I had not had that done in a couple of years. The office staff was very helpful when I called to schedule, the technician was on time and knew exactly what I had called about. He confirmed that the electronic air filter was broken, and explained my options and made his recommendation, which was to just use the filter like a regular filter, and not bother to repair or replace the unit. Reasonable, practical, professionally-informed solution to my concerns. He finished inspecting and cleaning the furnace, gave it a clean bill of health, and I was charged the Angie's List rate for the furnace check.

A very good company to work with. The installers were competent, did their job and left, their job being the installation of a new furnace and air conditioning for my home. The price was right, and working with the people from the top (the owner) and the people in the office was a pleasure. You don't find many companies around like that these days. In most cases is boom, boom, get the job done, and you never hear from them again. If I need them I know where to find them and they're always courteous. I highly recommend them.

Scheduled an original Service Call between 10AM and 1PM - no show! Rescheduled for 3PM same day - came late. Defined the Furnace Blower Motor as the problem. I authorized the repair. Never herd back from Company. Called two days later - Service again - said I needed a blower motor - I told them I had already authorized the rapier with the Service Tech. They ordered the motor. Tech was to come 8:30AM - no show. Reset for 6PM next day - Tech did not show up until 7:30PM.

In January 2013 I needed to replace my furnace, and as the system was old I replaced the A/C and humidifier too. At the time of installation everything went fine. In November 2013 I had another HVAC company come to my house to complete the annual check on my furnace. They informed me that the humidifier was installed incorrectly in 4 ways: 1) It was installed on the return side, not the forced air side as it should be. 2) It was incorrectly connected to the cold water line. I should be the hot water line. 3) It was connected incorrectly to the cold water line. They used the wrong, unsafe kind of connection. 4) It was not wired correctly, so the unit was not getting any power. So basically the humidifier was installed so poorly, there was no way in the world it would have EVER worked. I have called for them to fix it, luckily I called in time for the 1 year warranty on labor. But I am still disappointed that a professional could install something so standard so poorly. Would I ever have found out about it if I didn't have a different HVAC company come to my home to check my furnace? Now my other furnace has pooped out (I have two in my home). I will not have them install the 2nd furnace, even though their bid was cheaper by $200. When I contacted All Temp about the problem, they fixed it within 2 weeks and were very prompt and professional. But again, I had a non-working humidifier in my home for a year and I trusted them to install the equipment properly the first time.

I'm glad I chose All Temp to fix an issue we had with our furnace. A tech came out the first night to see why our furnace wasn't working properly. He suggested we get a new one because ours was pretty old and the burners were not functioning properly. I spoke to a sales rep Mike who was very helpful and gave me a few options on new furnaces. He was able to schedule someone to come install it the next morning which was great. The technicians showed up on time the next morning with our brand new furnace. One of the technicians Julio was very friendly and professional and did a great job with the installation. Our house is now at a comfortable temperature and we are very pleased with our new furnace. Overall, I would definitely use All Temp for any future needs and would recommend this company to anyone who needs heating & air conditioning service.

The furnace is running fine and I hope to get many more years of service out of the furnace.

Zac was great. This was one busy day for him but he came in with a wonderful friendly attitude. A did the job quickly. He knows his business and performs it very well. All temp should be very happy having him there. I will ask for him whenever I need someone from this business.

Showed up in short order, quickly diagnosed and fixed problem with the thermostat.

We called their main number early this morning as our furnace had stopped working. We left our name, number, address and email contact information. We never received any follow-up from their representatives. Very dissappointing as we needed this fixed today.
