All Temp Heating & Air Conditioning

A crew of 2, Jaime and Patrick, came out on the appointed day at about 9am and replaced the central AC. They worked efficiently and very well. They were very approachable answering questions with cheerful respect. The work that they have done in the basement tearing down and replacing the housing for the new coil is particularly fine. The old housing was a mess and the new one, fashioned by Jaime primarily, shows great craft. They were very neat and left the basement in great shape! I could not have asked for a better experience. I am also a long term member of their "Comfort Club" which allows for certain discounts. I also schedule a visit in the Spring and Fall to ready by cooling and heating systems for the coming season. The quality of service that I have enjoyed from this company ensures that I will continue to be a customer.

They had to come a total of 3 times because on the first visit the repairman was unable to replace freon because it was "too cold." He did note that the "3rd floor suction line was freezing up" and noted that it should be looked at on the next visit. For visit two I had to reschedule once because try 1 was a no call no show. On try 2 the guy who came, Nikola, was very quick and only replaced the freon without actually investigating the issues with the suction line. After he left my AC unit started making terrible noises and I had to call them back. Turns out my blower was broken. They sent Nikola back to me (after saying they would send someone different) and so I had to deal with a VERY rude repairman who I still believe is the cause of what might now be another $500 (at least) fix. I am now happy to call Paragon Mechanical to come service all three of my units.

Everything leading up to the install went relatively well which is why writing this review is challenging. When we were getting quotes and making our decision about this project, All Temp was quick to answer any questions we had and even met with us on the weekends, when our schedule was more open, to discuss and plan the install. The install itself took a couple days longer than originally discussed, but the two guys doing the install were great. They always wore shoes covers to keep dust and dirt to a minimum and they were very, very clean despite the fact that it wasn't easy to retrofit an old house with AC. If I had to give a review on just the guys, they would get an A-. The poor review is because of everything that has happened SINCE the install. I have sent emails about various issues that came up during and after the install and they have not been quick to get back to me. We have been emailing back and forth for a couple months and frankly I didn't want to write this review until everything was completed, but the project was started over 4 months ago and there are still some loose end that need to be tied up. So, the review needed to be written. Perhaps this will deter people from choosing All Temp. If we had known this, we would have gone with the other company who was the same price. We spent 18k on this and I had higher expectations from this company. A couple of the issues we are still waiting to hear back about: *Fixing some of the damage that was done to walls and built-ins during install. (This is the reason for the A minus) *Covering the tubes that were installed in the closets that carry the AC from the compressor in the attic to the main floor. They are only wrapped in aluminum and seem vulnerable without a covering on them. One puncture from a hanger or curious child and the entire A/C system doesn't work properly. Apparently no one has ever requested the tubes to be covered before and All Temp needs to "research" how to do it. Why would I leave my 18k investment so vulnerable? Why hasn't anyone ever asked about this before? Why is this such a crazy request? *The copper tubing that goes from the attic to the AC unit (outside) covered. We have a lot of copper thieves in my neighborhood and I specifically asked for it to be covered from the beginning. I was told something that looked like a gutter would be covering it. That never happened. Like I said before, we spent a lot of money on this project and we expected much, much more in terms of customer service and follow through. Extremely disappointed.

The capacitor that was changed costs ~$8 on Amazon but I was charged $89 for the service call and $184 (based on the company books!?!) for the capacitor. Outrageous since the company refused to break down by labour and parts costs. Paid $232 after Angie's' list discount.

On a very cold Saturday night, approximately one month ago, our furnace began blowing only cold air. We called All Temp as we have used them many times in the past. After waiting awhile to be connected with the answering service we were put in touch with one of their service men. I am sorry my husband did not recall this man's name. He spoke on the phone with my husband and talked him through a few things . He was able to get the furnace heating again within about 10 minutes without having to come to our home. There was no charge to us and no trip out here for the repair man. Thanks so much. We will continue to use your company for heating and a/c maintenance and repair.

I called All Temp because my furnace was blowing cold air. Dave came over the same night on a Saturday and temporarily got it working. He told us we needed a part which he would have on Monday. On Monday Rudy came out with the part and installed it. We had our furnace fixed and are very happy with that company... Second time we have used them and completely trust them. I can understand why they have A ratings, they certainly earned it. This is a great company.. When I need a New Furnace and Air Conditioner All Temp will be the company I call. In the past I called others but All Temp is the only one I'll call from now on.

It turns out that the A/C unit is twice is big as the old unit which is causing the customer not to be able to open the doors to get to the electrical part of it. Customer stated that the provider should have been professional.

Service went incredibly well. Our heat went out in the middle of the night, I woke up the next morning and called these guys as fast as possible. Needless to say, they didn't skip a beat; were out to my house in just a matter of hours to fix everything up. I can't recommend them highly enough. Very professional, quick, and extremely knowledgeable.

My house never had A/C so everything for it needed to be installed,electrical and new connections to the furnace. The price for all this new equipment and labor was very good and considerate. Danny took a lot of care with connecting the new systems with the existing equipment. He understood and worked with the logistics of the environment he was working in making sure the equipment was installed in the most appropriate place.Finally he explained how to operate the new thermostat. Both John and Danny made sure I understood the the warranty, the rebates that were available and what I needed to have to apply for them. I so appreciate when I cross paths with ethical home contractors such as the ones I dealt with at All Temp John Lillis, Danny and Joe with them there was no hype, no big uncomfortable sale, no feeling that the work may be bad. I just felt a mutual respect for a job well done! Thank you All Temp..

The Hvac tech was very courteous and professional. He went right to the job, finished in good time and made recommendations to change filter. He did not try and sell any other services and was honest. When asked other questions he was knowledgable.

The guy did not inform me of the price before he replaced it. Had I known that it was going to be a 115% markup I would not have had them change it out. That was with the 15% discount. I am seriously considering not using them to service all of my properties since this is not very professional. I left them a message and just might return the part to them since it only costs$36 and they charged $152 and it's not a very good quality per what the technician said since it is the bottom level

I have a contract with them. It was good. They're responsive. The workers are always professional, clean and informative.

They always send a knowledgeable, polite technician who can answer any question I might have. They showed me the damaged part and explained what it did. After the repair, they tested the system to make sure that was the only issue. They offered the discount I receive as a Comfort Club member (the regular maintenance program) immediately. I should have written a review a long time ago! They really do a nice job, year after year.

Came, inspected, and went. Nothing spectacular, nothing bad.

Punctual, professional, fair -- especially with the Angie's List discount. We'll be customers for a long time.

There was a bit of communication problem in that the staff thought our first call was responded to; when we called back they apologized and sent someone within 90 minutes. The representative was very courteous and knowledgeable and had the problem fixed very quickly. We have used All-Temp before and recommend them often.

1st guy they sent out didn't have tools needed and said they were supposed to call us with info regarding pre-service set up (which they had not done) and then left. 2nd guy showed up, checked out everything, cleaned and did minor repair/tune up work on outdoor box, and condemned 1st guy for being an idiot. We got some great advice, and knowledgeable service from the 2nd guy.

The technician, Edwin, arrived within the scheduled window of time. He called to let me know he was on his way. When he arrived, he was very pleasant and patiently waited for me as I juggled a business call during part of his visit. He was careful to cover his shoes to protect my floors, inspected the furnace, reset the attached humidifier, thoroughly cleaned the furnace and surrounding area. Edwin answered all my questions about the filter, programmable thermostat, replacing the batteries and offered helpful tips. I was very pleased with the service and plan to use All Temp for regular maintenance going forward and in the event there are any problems in the future.

I had an appointment set up for 12/23 for a furnace inspection and cleaning for between 8am and 1pm. I took a day off work to set up this appointment, but they did not show up. I did not receive a call at all during the time frame, so I called the service center and they confirmed they had the right phone number with me. He said that someone did call, but when I asked for the time and number of the call that they claimed to place, I looked and it was not on my phone. Further, even if the call was made, no voicemail was left to let me know no one was coming. No call by the company was made after the appointment to reschedule either.

The repairman called several times unable to locate our address. I actually had to explain how numbers go up as you walk down the street. He had filthy boots that he tracked in to our apartment. When he arrived he explained that our heating system did not need to be cleaned. We explained that was the service we paid for. Shortly after the visit, the heat went out. He did return next day to repair the system and blamed the previous repairmen for putting the system on high, which he said would have led to inevitable fire. After the heat was put back on he added a bracket to the system but it is too wide. (Instead of the filter fitting snuggly, you have to jam it in, which causes the filter to bunch up and leave big gaps, so the air isn't being properly filtered.) We have called multiple times to get the situation remedied. On the most recent call, we were told that we owe more money than we have actually been billed and the receptionist was extremely rude and raised her voice. We still haven't gotten the situation fixed.

The employee introduced himself as "All Temp". Very impersonal in my opinion and he was not wearing a nametag. I explained to him that my a/c unit was not blowing cool air (summer time). I escorted him outside to where the unit was located and he began his trouble shooting. He then went to his vehicle to grab some tools and returned to repair a leak in one of the lines. I watched him working from my window the entire time (1hr). While working, he just kind of walked in and out of my house without any mention of what he was doing (went from the yard to my basement where the furnace is located). How about an update please??? Another thing that bothered me is he grabbed my garden hose (without asking) and hosed down his dirty tools and a rag he was working with....??????? I might have been ok with this had he just asked to use the hose. Upon completion I was hit with a huuuuge bill, but hey the work was already done. Tying up loose ends, he made a trip to the basement again, I followed him down to the basement where he was removing my furnace filter (without asking) and just grabbed a new one that was sitting on a shelf and put the new one in place. He left the old filter sitting in my basement....rude. I also had to PULL information out of him about the work that was completed---he was just going to leave without saying anything. Unbelievable and I won't ever use All Temp again.

Jesus came out for the clean and check of a furnace in an attic. He was polite, knowledgeable and didn't complain about the tight space in my attic that makes it difficult to reach the various panels/components of the furnace. He also explained to me the various steps he was taking and also gave me tips on humidifier maintenance. He even showed me the capacitor and it's mf rating while describing it's importance and expected life cycle. Solid service that will keep me a customer.
