All Temp Heating & Air Conditioning

It was great, he came out and take a look because I had issue with my heating last year and got ridiculous estimate somebody tried to gauge me very negative temperature, so he came out and was very straight forward told me exactly what I need for my unit and he knew I had another estimate coming he said just let him know cause he could match anything that they proposed. He offer a very good deal especially compared to that gentleman last winter and he offered to come out and do it before September was over so. He seemed very knowledgeable, he was prompt, answered all my questions and the company itself got back to me within twenty four hours to set up the estimate.

It went well. I purchased and AC Tune Up through Angie's List for $89.95. I requested an appointment window through the Angie's List website when I purchased the Tune-Up. I received no appointment feedback for two days. I called on the third day and scheduled an appointment over the phone. It appears the appointment time I requested on the Angie's List page went unnoticed (It was during several days where temps were in the high 80's). I was able to get an appointment three days later. The Technician showed up for the scheduled appointment. He did a tune-up / service check of my AC unit which is 25+ years old. He added 3Lbs of refrigerant (cost $234 less 15% discount for being an Angie's List Member ). So in the end the total cost of the Tune-Up and added refrigerant was about $288. The AC has worked fine during the remaining summer.

Very impressed with the service from all-temp. I called on a Saturday morning and spoke to a friendly person who picked up after the first ring. Edwin came out first thing Monday morning and diagnosed the problem. He was helpful and friendly also. Got a call when the parts came in and it was fixed right away. Now it's working better then it ever has before.

We had purchased an extended warranty previously from All Temp 5 years ago. They came same day and all of the work and parts were covered.

Jeff and Brian are the two ALL TEMP Heating and Air conditioning installers that arrived on time as scheduled. Jeff gave me a courtesy call an hour before he arrived. When they arrived both introduced themselves to me. They confirmed and explained what it is they were doing and in what order. They were very professional, polite and conscientious through the entire job. Their attitudes and action put me at ease and I felt totally comfortable with them working in my home. They completed the job in a reasonable amount of time. They cleaned up after themselves and hauled away the old equipment. They were very careful of my property. After the install was complete they showed me the proper way to operate and maintain the new furnace and AC. I was very impressed with ALL TEMP HEATING and AIR in Chicago 4363 W Montrose Ave ·(224) 935-5966 from the moment Ed the Project Manager stopped in and gave me an estimate to the moment that the installers Jeff and Brian completed the job. Ed was the first company to give me an estimate. He gave me the best price and from the research I did I feel the equipment he sold me is top of the line great quality. I appreciate he did not play games with the sales quote. No hard sell no gimmicks, just good info and a great price. The people I have dealt with at ALL TEMP Heating and Air Conditioning of Chicago were all very professional, polite, patient and helpful. I will you them in the future and I will strongly recommend them to others.

Jesus was fantastic! Knowledgeable, professional, affable. He came right on time, quickly explained and fixed our problem and, also, tested the whole system for any other potential issues. Very satisfied.

I am very pleased with All Temp Heating & Air Conditioning. Jesus arrived shortly after I had received the call that he was on the way. Once he was here he asked me about what the issue was and where he could find the (HVAC, electrical breakers, condenser, etc..). I had shown him where everything was and told him the story. He quickly got to work trying to diagnose the problem. The initial conclusion was there was a potential short or cut in my thermostat wire that went up to the condenser on the roof. However, he still had a few more checks to perform so he kept working. A short while later the updated diagnosis was, the condenser that my condo unit was powering appeared to not be mine. Jesus had checked the condensers on the roof for both my downstairs neighbor's unit & my unit. The odd thing he found was my condo unit was powering a condenser that wasn't getting a signal from the unit. He also found that my thermostat wire was signaling the condenser that was not getting power. We talked for a few minutes while on the roof as he specifically showed me what he was seeing. Here's the final conclusion and fix (which I think we could have only come to by talking together up on the roof): My downstairs neighbor had just moved out on the same day my AC issue arose. They had powered down their HVAC / turned off all the breakers to their condo unit which killed the power to the condenser my condo unit was operating. Jesus switched the power hookups on the roof to the condensers and SUCCESS!! My condo unit is now powering & signaling my AC condenser. I am very glad that Jesus took the extra steps to check everything to solve this problem, not only for my unit but also for my neighbor's unit. I don't know how many years this powering issue has been going on for, but I am thankful the professionals at All Temp kept working when something seemed odd. Excellent! Technician was prompt, extremely knowledgeable and professional. He explained his findings, recommended the fix, fixed and explained what we should expect and suggested future maintenance.

Not so well. I called on a Saturday (8/6 around 2:30 pm) to schedule an appointment and the conversation with their operator (a gentleman) was going fine until I asked him when I can expect their scheduler to call back to schedule time with me. His first response is "I don't know and am not sure when they can get back to you". Since this wasn't an emergency and I'm ok waiting a few days, so I told him that I'm not holding him to anything, but just wanted to get an idea on whether the scheduler is working today and if there's a possibility of getting a response today. He just kept on repeating "I don't know, I don't know, ..." in a very defensive manner, not even letting me talk. Very weird, disrespectful and rude. I was just asking a simple question. I think it's time they replace that operator as this guy doesn't even know how to communicate. I was able to find and schedule with a different company after that call.

I've used Alltemp for years, but have been disappointed in my interactions over the last 12 months. The service folks are great but Sales is terrible. I have now twice had them out to quote the cost of replacing my garage heater and NO ONE has sent me a quote. I'm trying to give them money! I called 3x, always with a promise of someone getting back to me in a few days...no one does. I had previously had such great experiences with AllTemp that I wasn't even going to competitively shop them. The most recent interaction was for a quote for a new rooftop A/C and the same garage heater. The salesperson was supposed to be at my house between 2-4. At 3:55 he called to say he was "5 minutes away"....and arrived about 30 minutes later. He looked at my existing unit, told me what I was getting (did not give a range of options, talk about trade offs between different units, and only would talk to me about the one brand that they currently have on sale...some basic internet research tells me it was an expensive quote for a sub-par product). He then tried to get me to sign on the spot ("I assume we should just use the same credit card as for your service visit?") without me agreeing I wanted to move forward! When leaving he promised he'd send me everything in writing the next day (including the garage heater which I know they really don't want to sell me!) via email. I'm still waiting for the email. To be fair, he did follow up via voicemail a week later but I was so turned off by his sales techniques that I'm going elsewhere. Very disappointing given I really WANTED to work with AllTemp.

I gave the company three dates and times which worked for me and never even got a phone call or email from them. The dates passed with no work done and no contact so I have asked Angie's List to process a refund for me.

On time, but I thought the complete system would be changed out, including the flexible copper line from the A-coil to the compressor. Especially since there is a different freon being used now and the old freon can damage the new compressor. I was told it was a $300 up-charge to change the line. This should have been discussed in the initial sit down meeting while talking prices. Also, in order for the warranty to be maintained there are expensive inspections of the system that you ahve to pay for. At the end of the day I felt it was better to find a new HVAC company to work on the unit if it needed service. As I stated all of the expenses should be discussed in the beginning phases. Next time I will make sure to ask for all charges from the next HVAC company we hire.

The work was easy and quick to schedule. The gentlemen who came to do the cleaning phoned me to let me know they were on their way and were punctual. They were friendly, professional and did the work in a timely manner. They explained the work they did and how things looked. I appreciated their courteous manner and the friendliness on top of the excellent job done.

The work went very well. Everyone I worked with at All Temp was friendly, courteous, helpful, and did a great job. After contacting the company, I received a return call within the hour. The scheduling of the work was done in a timely manner. The installers showed up on time, did the work in a timely manner, cleaned up after themselves and were friendly to myself and my children in the process.. We are very satisfied with the work and the respect with which we were treated.

It went great. They called to confirm the appointment and to let me know approximately how long it would take him to arrive. The agent arrived, it was Rudy. He was great. Very helpful and answered all my questions and explained things to me in a way that I could understand. He made recommendations but in no way was pressure selling. I would HIGHLY recommend them and I will be scheduling a yearly checkup with them. Thank Rudy for all you help and expertise.

I have been using All Temp for 2 years and my mom had used them as well. Last Wednesday, my AC unit stopped cooling. I called the All Temp 24 hr service and Larry was very helpful in telling me what to do until a service tech came. Gelasio my regular tech came the next afternoon and gave me the bad news that my compressor was shot and that I needed a new system. This was not a surprise to me because my system is 15 years old. My system was replaced by Eli and Chris on a Sunday! They were so professional and courteous and did an outstanding job. I would recommend them to anyone. The price was good as well. I can't say enough good things about Eli, Chris, Gelasio and the whole All Temp team.
