All Temp Heating & Air Conditioning

Description of Work: Our 5-year-old Munchkins boiler was making horrid noises occasionally when heating the house or hot water. A first technician advised there was no danger, the unit just needed cleaning. A second technician advised the plastic swirl plate upstream of the venting fan was breaking up and getting sucked into the fan blades and unbalancing the rotor there; but again no danger of losing heat. A third technician replaced the venting fan under warranty, including the defective swirl plate, and it's been fine since then.

Description of Work: Bernie Camacho, the service manager, is rude and just not all there. All Temp has attempted to replace the collector box, which is cracked, on the furnace for 6 months. Bernie has sent 3 different technicians with the wrong cover. What a waste of time for them and me. It still isn't fixed and they have canceled my 4th appointment 2 times this week for various odd reasons. I would not recommend All Temp as a reliable service provider.

Description of Work: Made an appointment to clean and check my a/c. Alltemp said they'd be by between 10-2p, it's 230p now and not even a phone call of notice. I wouldn't reschedule with this company anymore because who knows what 'repairs' and extra costs would be added. Had only scheduled with them because I had a good experience in 2006. When I asked for the same tech, they said he didn't work there anymore and seemed annoyed when I asked questions about estimates on repairs, the name of tech who would show up, etc.

Description of Work: Company replaced air conditioner and coil for my central air conditioning. Also included new thermostat and 10 yr. parts and labor guarantee.

Description of Work: Basically the guy came out and said "where do I start to explain what's wrong - you just need a new system". The system is 12 years old and the guy insisted it was more than 20 years old. Bottom line, he didn't want to really see what was wrong with the heating element.

Description of Work: I wrote a negative report for Angie's List. About 2 days later the owner called to talk about my report. He was very professional. I appreciated the gesture. I'm changing my advice...if you speak to someone at All Temp who is unprofessional or difficult just ask for the owner or someone higher up. I think this company wants to please its customers.

Description of Work: First came to look a problem furnace and evaluate repair vs. replacement. Gave detailed options re: Repair, and didn't even discuss replacement until I specifically asked. I decided on replacement. Was told the removal and replacement would take one full day and was able to arrange for a Saturday. The whole job got done in 4 hrs. They were very careful about avoiding damaging the hardwood floors, showed me how to replace the filter and cleaned up completely when done. As promised, the new furnace is much quieter and has much better heat control.

Description of Work: They wanted me to choose a system that was against Chicago HVAC code. They also refuse to put any ducting in the walls. Since we don't have an industrial loft it was obvious that they were a bad pick. They were 100% higher than the person who completed the work for me.

Description of Work: Removed old boiler and installed new boiler, pipes, and tank. The initial salesperson (Mike) was very helpful and answered all my questions on my estimate. Work performed as discussed & the installer Danny did a great job and really knew about boiler heating systems. Got other estimates and they were the most reasonable.
