All Temp Heating & Air Conditioning

So far it seems good- give about several weeks of very to severe hot weather to pass absolute judgment.

Initial service call and new installation were prompt and seemed to go well. However, we began to smell a slight gas scent in the furnace room intermittently within several days. I called the company about this and they refused to do a service call, stating that it was their policy that any gas-related issues had to be dealt with by People's Gas. I reiterated that this was a mild, intermittent smell that only started after the install and was only noticeable in the immediate vicinity of the furnace. They again refused to do anything, putting it on the gas company. I called People's Gas, who were very helpful and responsive, but insisted that this had to be treated as an 'emergency leak' and required evacuation of the house until a service tech could get there. Fortunately they were there relatively quickly, but I was still forced to wait outside in the car with the dog for about 45 minutes, missed work time, etc. When the PG techs got there their meters started lighting up around the furnace and they laughed when they saw that one of the couplings had not been tightened properly on the new furnace. I apologized for putting this on them and explained the situation with All Temp, and they laughed again and said, correctly, "Yeah, this is how companies lose their reputations." I followed up with the All Temp service manager, Dale, the next day. He actually defended the decision not to do a service call and lamely offered a free A/C unit cleaning. I declined, as I will not trust All Temp with any work again.

Fine: prompt service, reasonable price.

Sorry about the delayed response. Life is super busy. First time using this company. Service person thorough and professional. Provided helpful hints on maintenance of my fairly new high efficiency chp. Will use again on other appliances

The Tech cleaned my burners and sensors and I was only charged for a standard cleaning. I had called another company that was a no show that morning. I called All Temp at 12:30PM and they arrived at 2:15PM and fixed my issue quickly.

Fabulous! I would hire them again and definitely would refer them to anyone looking to have a new heater installed. The workers arrived 5 minutes ahead of time. They were very professional and extremely clean and careful. The pointed out areas that were done incorrectly, with a previous air-conditioning installation.

The free estimate process with the company VP, Mike, was easy to schedule and efficient. Although he spoke very quickly and seemed in a hurry, he took time to explain why he wouldn't recommend a high-efficiency furnace for our condo. We were able to schedule the work sooner than expected and all the workers were nice, efficient, and cleaned up after themselves. The workers also coordinated with a handyman I hired about the flooring that needed to be replaced under the new water heater. When they ran into an issue that required water be shut off for the whole building, it was a smooth process to schedule for them to come back a different day after noticed had been given to the other residents. Overall, the work went very smoothly, until we came to the payment. I gave a lower grade for professionalism because the invoice for the work was the same handwritten paper as our estimate. This paper listed all possible configurations, some of which were written in shorthand, and some of which had been added based on follow-up phone calls before the work began. It was very hard for both the contractor and me to follow and figure out exactly how much I owed. The contractor took a very "customer is always right" attitude, which I appreciated, but I couldn't get the numbers to add up the same way and wanted to make sure I was compensating them fairly. After a few phone calls with the VP who wrote the estimate, we sorted it out and I was satisfied. I would have preferred to have a clear, typed invoice that showed exactly what was being installed, the cost, and the discounts that had been applied. Indeed, I was surprised to learn when I requested a rebate receipt that a different AC unit was installed (apparently the one from the estimate didn't fit through the roof hatch). I appreciate that All Temp made that call, as they are the experts, but I would have liked to know about this change at the time it happened. We also went through All Temp to clean our ducts, which was handled by a different team of younger employees. They made a concerted effort to be polite, follow procedures, and explain the process.

Steve from All-Temp came and checked out our boiler. He did an excellent job of explaining every thing he did and did not try to sell me something extra that I did not need. I would definitely use All-Temp again.

It went well. The repairman arrived within the expected time and did an excellent job.

We've used them for probably the last 10 years and we've never had any problems. It took about an hour for them to finish the work. They come across as trustworthy

If I could give "A+" grade I would. Newer furnace went out late Friday night during weather with single digit temperatures. Called All-Temp Saturday morning and spoke with Sean. He had someone out in an hour. The Service Tech was great. Identified problem quickly as the switch, showed me exactly where and why it happened. Gave me suggestions on what I might be able to rectify on my own prior to calling next time. Very pleased and they will be my go-to in the future.

I don't think the price was that great. They left the area clean. The installation was done well.

Some other company said I had to replace heating system. I was devastated. That's difficult to do when it's below zero in Chicago. All-Temp gave me good news: my old system was in great shape.

It went very well! They called 20 minutes away and showed up when they said they would. The employee got right to work, checking the system and replacing the filter. The employee didn't tell us we needed something we didn't and that trust is crucial. Would hire again.

Dave was great. He came within the time period given to me and was very helpful in answering my questions and explaining options to fix the issue. Would definitely hire again and will setup a seasonal maintenance schedule to check on furnace/AC.

Choosing All-Temp was our best and easiest decision. They returned my call right away, the budgetary's visit happened the day after my call and the work, was scheduled for 2 days after we've decided to go with them. All-Temp total cost was much lower than its competitors and they were very accurate suggesting the capacity of the equipment for the size of our condo. The service guys were careful with the floor and furniture, they cleaned the facility and, very importantly, finished the job within the estimated time for that. We were worried because the work would be done the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and if something happened it would be very bad. Nothing happened but the happiness of having a quiet heater that reaches the chosen temperature very fast. We'll have to wait for the summer to use the AC system, but I'm sure there will be no problems with it. I trust in All-Temp's work and I already referred them to my friends. They have a loyal customer now.

Went great. Performed a minor tune-up and everything has worked great since then.

Service from our previous provide had really gone downhill over the years. This guy knew what he was talking about. Showed us a few things we could do ourselves to keep drainage clear and told us we were using the wrong furnace filter. We signed up for annual SLA and are curious to see how that goes.

Service was purchased October 24, 2016 and service performed December 5, 2016. After the purchase of the service, All Temps never called to schedule an appointment. When I called to follow-up, they blamed Angie's List for not sending the purchase info to them in order to schedule an appointment. Also, when I called to make the appt., the customer service representative said that the cost would be higher ($119) because the Angie List special was just for furnaces. When I read the service description info to the CSR, they then said that Angie's list pricing was incorrect. I replied that the pricing issue correction for the advertised service was between All Temps and Angie's List, and that I expected my purchase price to be honored, which it was. Joe, the technician who was dispatched, was very friendly and efficient. I would use the company again only because that's with whom the original purchase was made, and any work performed, I would like completed by their technicians, if possible.

Went very smoothly and quickly within the time frame requested. I had to reschedule a couple of times and they were very nice about it. I even requested last-minute to have them service an additional furnace which they were able to accommodate.

I needed a new furnace and central air conditioner after the inspection was completed. The technician, Rudy was very helpful and professional. The installers Levi and his assistant were equally professional and helpful. I am very pleased with the job performed.
