EXCELLENT! I WAS STRESSED OUT AND PROBABLY NOT VERY NICE BUT EVERYONE AT ALL TEMP FROM THE RECEPTIONIST TO THE MEN IN THE FIELD WERE LEVEL - HEADED AND POLITE. I WILL ONLY HIRE ALL TEMP FOR MY FUTURE HVAC NEEDS. THEY WOULD NOT BILL ME BECAUSE THE GAS COMPANY WAS THE PARTY AT FAULT.
Description of Work: PEOPLES GAS INSISTED THAT MY GAS WAS ON AND THAT I WAS JUST WRONG FOR NOT KNOWING HOW TO LIGHT A PILOT LIGHT. I CALLED ALL TEMP - - EVEN THOUGH I KNEW IN MY HEART THAT THE GAS WAS OFF - - TO LIGHT THE PILOT ON MY NEW FURNACE FOR ME. OF COURSE, THE GAS WAS OFF AND THE NICE MAN FROM ALL TEMP REFUSED TO BILL ME FOR HIS TIME. I WILL HIRE THEM AND ONLY THEM FOR ALL OF MY HVAC NEEDS.

Description of Work: WE REQUIRED THAT OUR PEERLESS STEAM BOILER BE CLEANED AND SERVICED BEFORE THE START OF THE HEATING SEASON. THEY DID THIS AND THEN THEY STARTED UP THE BOILER TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WAS RUNNING SMOOTHLY. THIS SERVICE CALL TOOK A LITTLE OVER 2 AND A HALF HOURS AND WE WERE ONLY CHARGED THE SERVICE CHARGE OF $89.95 LESS A $20.00 OFF COUPON FOR $69.95.

WE CALLED ON A SUNDAY TO HAVE THEM SERVICE OUR BOILER AND RADIATORS. WE WERE TOLD THEY WOULD BE OUT ON MONDAY, IF NOT THAT VERY DAY. AFTER STAYING HOME ALL MONDAY MORNING AND NO ONE ARRIVING, I CALLED BACK TO CONFIRM A SERVICE PERSON WOULD BE COMING. THE MAN I SPOKE TO SAID THEY WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO COME UNTIL WEDNESDAY, THE EARLIEST. HE SAID HE DID NOT KNOW WHY THE ANSWERING SERVICE TOLD US THEY'D BE THERE ON MONDAY. I STAYED HOME FROM WORK THAT DAY BECAUSE THEY SAID THEY WOULD COME OUT. NO ONE EVER DID SHOW UP.

THE TECHNICIAN WAS NICE AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. HE EXPLAINED EVERYTHING HE WAS DOING TO ME AND LET ME MAKE THE DECISIONS BASED ON A COST-BENEFIT ANALYSIS WITH NO PRESSURE. HE SUGGESTED MY INDUCER WAS ABOUT TO GO AND LEFT IT UP TO ME WHETHER OR NOT TO HAVE IT REPLACED. HE ALSO SIGNED ME UP FOR THE DISCOUNT CLUB, WHICH INCLUDES CHECKS OF HEAT AND A/C EACH YEAR FOR $120.

THEY WERE 4 HOURS LATER ARRIVING THAN I WAS TOLD INITIALLY. THEY DID NOT CALL ME, I HAD TO CALL THEM A FEW TIMES TO GET AN ETA. HERE'S ANOTHER VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER OF ALL TEMP. EVERY ASPECT OF THIS DEAL WAS TERRIFIC, AND EXACTLY AS ADVERTISED. THEY WERE THE LOWEST BID OF 4 (ALL ANGIE'S LIST), HAD THE MOST EXTRAS INCLUDED, AND CHEERFULLY GAVE ME THE MANUFACTURER'S REBATE, AND ANGIE'S LIST COUPON. THE REPRESENTATIVE WHO CAME OUT TO DO THE ESTIMATE WAS PROMPT, POLITE, AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. WHEN I HAD A QUESTION ABOUT THE FURNACE SIZE PROPOSED, HE CAME OUT AGAIN TO MEASURE, AND RUN THE CALCULATIONS TO BE SURE. THE TWO MEN WHO INSTALLED OUR FURNACE DID AN ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL JOB. THEY DESERVE SPECIAL MENTION BECAUSE THIS WAS A DIFFICULT INSTALLATION. RATHER THAN DO WHAT WAS EASY AND QUICK, THEY TOOK THE TIME TO DO AN EXCELLENT JOB, EVEN THOUGH IT PUT THEM 2 DAYS BEHIND THE SCHEDULE SET BY THEIR MANAGEMENT. THE RESULT IS FINE LOOKING, INSIDE AND OUTSIDE. THE 90+ MODELS NEED VENTING DIRECTLY THROUGH THE WALL, NOT UP THE CHIMNEY, SO THIS IS CRITICAL. I PLAN TO USE THEM FOR SEMI-ANNUAL SERVICING AS WELL.
Description of Work: THEY INSTALLED A HIGH EFFICIENCY FURNACE (BRYANT 90+, 120K BTU, 2-STAGE, VARIABLE SPEED FAN), AND REMOVED OUR OLD ONE. PRICE INCLUDED A BYPASS HUMIDIFIER, BETTER AIR FILTER, FANCY THERMOSTAT WITH OUTDOOR SENSOR FOR TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY, SHEET METAL FOR CONNECTING TO OUR DUCT SYSTEM, AND LABOR. PRICE ALSO INCLUDES $500 MANUFACTURER'S REBATE, AND $100 ANGIE'S LIST COUPON.

INITIALLY, THE TECHNICIAN WHO SOLD ME THE UNIT HAD TOLD ME THAT THE NEW COMPRESSOR WOULD NOT WORK WITH MY EXISTING AIR HANDLER, BECAUSE THE NEW UNIT USED A DIFFERENT TYPE OF COOLANT AND SO THE ORIGINAL ARRANGEMENT WAS TO REPLACE BOTH, FOR $3700. HOWEVER, WHEN THE TWO INSTALLERS CAME, THEY NOTICED THAT THE AIR HANDLER, WHICH WAS ONLY A YEAR OLD, HAD SPECIFICATIONS THAT SAID IT WOULD INDEED BE OK WITH THE NEW TYPE OF COOLANT. THEY CHECKED WITH THEIR MANAGER AND AGREED THAT A NEW AIR HANDLER WASN'T NECESSARY, WHICH REDUCED THE COST BY $1200. I WAS IMPRESSED BY THEIR WILLINGNESS TO TELL ME ALL THIS - THEY COULD HAVE GONE AHEAD AND DONE THE UNNECESSARY WORK AND I WOULDN'T HAVE KNOWN THE DIFFERENCE. VERY GOOD PEOPLE, WITH GREAT ETHICS.

THEY DID NOT OFFER TO DISCOUNT THE PRICE OR ANYTHING FOR MY LOST TIME. I HAD ORIGINALLY ASKED IF THEY COULD COME OUT ON TUESDAY, BUT THEY HAD SAID THEY HAD TIME ON MONDAY & COULD NOT GUARANTEE ANYONE ON TUESDAY. THEY PERSISTED IN HAVING ME SCHEDULE REPAIR ON MONDAY AND THEN DIDN'T SHOW UP.

THEY CAME BACK THE 3RD TIME BECAUSE THERE WAS DRIPPING WATER AT A FEW OF THE CONNECTIONS & THEY HAD TO DRAIN THE SYSTEM AGAIN! NOW THEY ARE COMING BACK A 4TH TIME, (A WEEK AFTER THE 3RD VISIT) BECAUSE THE UPSTAIRS IS GETTING NO HEAT. I DO UNDERSTAND THIS IS A VINTAGE HOME & A BIT QUIRKY, BUT IT IS TAKING A LOT OF TIME TO GET THIS JOB DONE.

THIS LED TO DISORGANIZATION & MISCOMMUNICATIONS. GAVE US A TERRIFIC WARRANTY & BONUS PTS FOR THIS. WE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE AIR CONDITIONING & THEY STILL CANNOT DETERMINE THE PROBLEM. SINCE THE WEATHER'S CHANGED, WE CAN'T FIX UNTIL NEXT YR. OUR FURNACE TURNS OFF RANDOMLY & SAYS IT IS A "SYSTEM MALFUNCTION". THEY CANNOT DETERMINE THE CAUSE, SO THEY REPROGRAMMED THE THERMOSTAT & SAID TO CALL WHEN & IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN. THEY HAVE 24 HR SERVICE. KINKS EXPECTED, & THEY ARE HONORING CONTRACT & WARRANTY. INCONSISTENT WITH SERVICE DEPT-CANCELLED APPT FOR 2 WEEKS BEFORE COMING BACK OUT. SERVICE PEOPLE ARE TRAINING/LEARNING ABOUT OUR NEW EQUIPMENT.

MY OPINION IS THE JOB WAS A BIT TOO LARGE FOR THEM OR A BIT TOO COMPLICATED. IT IS HARD TO RETROFIT NEW DUCTWORK IN OLD CEILING JOISTS, ETC. OVERALL, THEY DID A FINE JOB BUT I EXPECTED TO BE "WOWED" AFTER READING REPORTS & AFTER TALKING TO THEIR REFERENCES. THEY WERE RESPONSIVE TO ALL MY QUESTIONS, CONCERNS, & COMPLAINTS. I WAS NOT THE EASIEST CUSTOMER UNDER THE SUN, SO THEY GET CREDIT FOR COLLABORATING. ONE TIME I QUESTIONED SOME OF THEIR WORK & ASKED FOR THE MANUFACTURER TO GET INVOLVED (FOR MY PEACE OF MIND). THEY SEEMED UNCONFIDENT & IT SEEMED THAT I WAS MORE OF AN "ENEMY", SO TO SPEAK, THAN A CLIENT. ALL WORKED OUT OK, BUT THEY TRIPLE TEAMED ME DURING MANUF. VISIT WHICH I THOUGHT FUNNY. AGAIN, ALL IS FINE. LEARNING EXPERIENCE FOR ALL.

I WAS ABLE TO GET SOMEONE TO COME OUT RIGHT AWAY AFTER MY INITIAL CALL. TECHNICIAN SPENT ALLOT OF TIME DOING THE WORK AND DID NOT RUSH THROUGH TO GET TO THE NEXT CALL. TOOK TIME TO EXPLAIN MY HEATING SYSTEM, AND GAVE ME A TIP ON HOW TO LET THE AIR OUT OF MY RADIATORS EACH YEAR WITH A RADIATOR KEY SO THAT THEY ARE HOT FROM THE BOTTOM ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP. THIS I DIDN'T KNOW, AND ALWAYS WONDERED WHY MY RADIATORS NEVER GOT HOT ON THE TOP HALF OF THEM.

ALL TEMP WAS GREAT. A REPAIRMAN CAME ON TIME, WAS COURTEOUS, EFFICIENT, AND PATIENT IN EXPLAINING WHAT HE WAS CHECKING. HE ALSO SHOWED ME WHAT TO LOOK FOR AND HOW TO TAKE CARE OF THE FURNACE (AND HUMIDIFIER) MYSELF. THE PRICE WAS GREAT. THE $120 BILL COVERS THE FURNACE PRE-SEASON CHECKUP - AND - A PRE-SEASON CHECKUP FOR THE AIR CONDITIONER. THERE WERE NO EXTRAS, HIDDEN FEES, NO TRAVEL CHARGES, AND THE TECHNICIAN WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL, AND NICE.

SERVICE TECHNICIAN WAS PLEASANT AND METICULOUS. REMINDED ME THAT HUMIDIFIER SERVICE CAN BE INCLUDED IN THE SPRING/FALL HVAC NEXT TIER PACKAGE, SO WOULD BE CHEAPER IF PURCHASED NEXT SPRING. SHOWED ME THE FILTER BEFORE REPLACING IT AND ADVISED ME THAT I COULD PURCHASE IT MYSELF IF I CHOSE TO BUT I INSTEAD DECIDED TO HAVE HIM DO IT. CLEANED-UP AFTER SERVICING HVAC LEAVING EVERYTHING SPIC-N-SPAN.
