The technicians Arthur and Enrique were on time. Arthur evaluated the situation quickly, went to get needed parts and installed them efficiently. He answered all my questions patiently. Both were very polite and did a clean and good job.

The technician, Joel, identified and repaired the problems quickly. He was very helpful in answering our questions about maintenance.

Installing A/C should be a no-brainer but it was problematic, initially. However, the problems were eventually resolved, thanks to the tenacity of Robbie Mehrholtz, All Temp's President. The A/C wasn't installed properly, resulting in the air not cooling and water cascading down the furnace and creating puddles inside and out. This was discovered two days after installation on a steamy Sunday when we really needed the AC. We left a voice mail for Robbie that evening, hoping to hear from him Tuesday; it was Memorial Day weekend. He called several hours later, had somebody out to diagnose the problem Memorial Day and sent a new crew out Tuesday. They worked all day 'til they got it right, though they did use our black electrical tape (a bit unsightly) to seal a few duct work cracks. This ordeal was not what we expected when we hired such a well regarded company, but ultimately, they got the job done. Not enough can be said about Mr. Mehrholtz's commitment to that end.

All Temp was highly recommended by Angie's List. I had some problems at the outset getting anyone to call me back to schedule an appointment, and therefore found myself on a very hot weekend with a non-working system. (This is the reason for the only ''B,'' in responsiveness.) However, they made it right. I sent an e-mail on Friday night and got a call on Saturday from the dispatcher and then from Robbie, the President/Owner. Robbie was extremely nice, and very apologetic for the communications problems. He got someone over to me in the mid-afternoon, who was very capable, and in view of the problems I had had, did not charge me the higher weekend rate. The technician who came out was nice, and really seemed to enjoy talking HVAC . I liked the fact that, even though the problem was that my system had inadequate freon, he did not push a ''leak test'' (which would cost more).

They do a great job. I have a year's maintenance contract with them. I have one heater and two air conditioning units. My heating and cooling has been working great.

This is the 2nd time I've used All Temp and it was another good experience. I called Wed afternoon and got an appt for the next day in the afternoon. Then got a call back later saying a morning spot had opened up if I would like it. I liked the 15 min notification that the tech was on his way. When the first tech couldn't figure out the problem I was very pleased he called to bounce the issue off someone else. Especially b/c it ended up being a very small fix. I would have hated to order a part or what else to find it wasn't needed. I was only charged for the service call, which was fine.

No reply one week later (and counting).

I got $75 off for my Angie's List discount, which I would consider a very good discount. The repairman was named Eddie Hernandez. He was very pleasant. He made sure I understood what was wrong with my inducer motor. He showed me the motor and what the problem was. He went and got the part and it was fixed promptly. I would use them again.

A very busy time of year, but I called on a Thursday & had an appointment on Monday. I was promptly called back and the work was completed and explained efficiently.

The service tech was on time and professional. I have used this company many times before and would recommend them highly. I own a few rental buildings, and they have 24 hour service.

Robbie came by as described and evaluated our old obsolete inefficient gas furnace, which supplied an unusual hybrid gas forced air radiant heating system. He suggested a high efficiency gas furnace, which was not necessarily the most expensive, but which would cover our needs in a cost-effective manner. Similarly, he recommended a new electronic air cleaner, which was reasonably priced and well-reviewed. His estimates were about $500 less than his nearest competitor. His guys arrived on time and quickly completed the job as planned. They were unobtrusive (as much as possible when hauling a huge furnace up a tight flight of stairs) and polite. His estimate was right on the money. My heating bills this winter, in spite of obscene hikes in natural gas costs, were unchanged this year due to the improvement in furnace efficiency. I would recommend Robbie and All Temp without reservation.

How would I know the rating of price for parts? I didn't feel ripped off in all I know. Getting my broken A/C up & running, & checked out is important. But not feeling ripped off or mistreated as a customer may be even more important. I am very grateful for that.

The installer was courteous, but after 3+ hours, he said that he needed additional wiring not carried on his truck. He returned later and finished the hookup. It didn't work. He needed more parts (not on the truck) and would finish the next day. Next day, he got the unit running. I paid in full. 40-min later the unit stopped and couldn't be restarted. Our thermostat was also fried. I was told that someone would come out. At MIDNIGHT the original tech showed up. Again, didn't have the parts on his truck. He'd return Monday to finish and wouldn't need access to the house. Monday at noon, Don from AT called me at work to say that a tech was on site and needed to be let in. I told him how disappointed I was and reiterated that as an AL customer I'd share my experiences here fully. He told me to do what I have to do. Then Mike called to say they needed to get into the house. I agreed to leave work early to let them in. It was the following day before it was completed.

They have come back 6 or 7 times since the installation due to several different problems that have occurred. I am going to have it checked by someone else!

Company was very accommodating to my schedule. After installation was complete, I hired a home inspector to review the workmanship. He found a number of items that needed to be addressed. Company returned and fixed the deficiencies. The money spent on the home inspector was well worth it.

Representative, Paul, came out & was actually early. Performed work quickly & provided helpful advice on how to properly maintain ventilation system on my own.

All Temp called ahead to tell me that the service person was about to arrive. He was very nice to deal with. He checked out the problem & found that I was low on coolant. I had repeatedly told them that I had burned up the compressor. I really appreciate that they can check out the problem first, as we all know some companies out there would have leaped on the chance to sell me a new compressor. I have used this company many times for years & always been very satisfied (Full install of new HVAC & various service calls). They are the best.

We got All Temp to come out and do a regular service on our two furnaces. The tech who came out was nice and on time, no complaints. He told us we needed a new part for our humidifier, or if that part was not available, a new humidifier, which he said would run us about $350, installed. He said he'd call with a quote on the part. He didn't call. I called the company 3 weeks later to follow up and was told I'd be called back within 2 days. I was not. I called back again and finally was told that the part was not available and the new humidifier would be $479 installed. When I pointed out that that was higher than the price I was told, and that I could buy the exact same humidifier from any number of places for $215, I was told sorry, that's our price. I will be using a different service in the future.

Ned (sales manager) was prompt & informative in his replies to my emails. All Temp was competitively priced. We selected another company because they provided a longer warranty.

Overall they did a good job. They proposed that I buy an hvac unit that would be outdated in 10 years, which I found out from a friend of mine. After I spoke with them on the issue, we split the difference of the cost of the newer unit. They were very courteous and I'd recommend them to other people however, make sure they clean up their entire work station before they leave.

The rep showed up that morning before 9am. His opinion was that the blower motor was shot and un-repairable as they don't make those motors any more. In any event, furnace was long over due to be replaced. All Temps honored the 2 yr old quote + $50. They had a crew out later that morning and we had heat by 5pm that day. They returned the following day to complete installation. My only complaints were 1)they tracked in some dirt/mud that we had to clean up and 2) they left a lot of scraps (wire, hardware, etc.) outside by the A/C comp. Overall they did a great job and I would hire again. Of note: Orig. quote was for 80% furnace. They installed 92% which requires a different venting method (PVC vs. steel), plus drainage for condensation which required a pump (also not in quote). Before the crew began the install, I informed them of this and they said they had the 92% on their order and that's what they were installing. There was no change in the price.

For the most part the service was professional. The tech and the folks answering the phone were kind and attentive. My only complaint is that I was told that because they put on the wrong part that they would leave the part on the furnace and then only charge me the price difference for the new part. I found out later when looking for the old part that they had swapped out my old part for the new part that I didn't need. I wish they had been upfront as I would have argued more for a discount as I had to take an extra day off of work to get the furnace fixed the second time. Also, I think that when companies misdiagnose they should offer some form of small discount.

Overall, I was quite pleased with the installation. Considering the extent of the demolition & installation of this system, it came off better & somewhat less painful than I had expected. The fact that from the estimate for the job to its fulfillment only 10 days were required- was a nice surprise. This was not something I was looking forward to & I was glad they finished so quickly.

Very negative experience. The personnel who answered the phone were not courteous. I asked them to send out someone who could provide a consultation on how to make the HVAC system quieter, they sent a service tech to do a repair instead and charged me $69(for the same exact request all other companies sent a consulting engineer/sales rep for free). I then called and asked to speak with sales. Sales promised to refund the $69 but never did. A consultant/sales rep then came out and provided advice and a quotation. Given the overall bad experience we had, and other related factors that I will not go into in this forum, we chose not to do business with them.
