All Temp Heating & Air Conditioning

Excellent. They were able to complete the work within two days of determining that I needed to replace my system. They were professional and courteous. The installer took the time to explain how the system worked.

From the start, All Temp left an excellent impression. Dave Clark came to give us an estimate and was personable and very willing to answer questions and calculate multiple estimates based on different furnace and A/C options. He left the estimate with me, unlike other companies who took almost 2 weeks to mail an estimate. Work was scheduled within a week of calling. While not the cheapest company, what they offered for the price was extensive. John Vanderveen and Jimmy Torres came out to perform the work. Both were friendly and got along well with our 2 big, happy dogs. John felt that the work required would take longer than expected (1.5 days), but said he would do his best to finish in 2 days. He was very careful to remove/drill into as little of the wood paneling as possible. He also spent time beyond the workday fabricating the right-sized sheet metal duct adaptor. John and Jimmy finished within the 2 days and left a clean workspace. We would definitely recommend them to anyone!

Called for service. They scheduled the service a weekday morning, showed up when scheduled. Serviceman was very polite, asked me if I had any questions or problems, went right to work and cleaned up after himself. He kept me informed on what he was doing.

I was given a four hour window for service person to arrive. Greg arrived about an hour into this window and was polite and got right to work. Comfortable with me watching him do the work. He told me that humidifier pad should be replaced every year and put new one in. After replacing pad, he told me it was $30. I thought that should have been conveyed to me before replacing. He asked if I wanted to join the "Discount Club" where you pay for the maintenance done today and pre-pay for the next season maintenance (in this case the Spring a/c clean and check). The cost savings was approximately what the Angie's List discount was for 2 services, so I did join. The above project cost is based on this "Discount Club" agreement for the 2.

I called All Temp because one of my tenants was complaining of no A/C . I had gone to the building and turned off the circuit breaker to prevent any further damage to the unit. When the technician came, I wasn't informed, he simply contacted the tenant (dispatch's fault) I caught him as he was leaving. I stopped him in the building lobby and he told me the whole problem was that the unit's breaker was turned off. I began to explain that wasn't the problem and he went into a long explanation about how it probably was. I finally insisted he listen to the whole story and he did, finally agreeing to look into it further. Of course upon further examination, compressor failure was diagnosed. At that point he called the service manager to see if they had a replacement. They did, though a different size that they assured me would work. This was on Thursday. They replaced it today, Monday. The tech ran out of Freon, so I have to call in the spring to have the system finished.

Jason was great. He explained everything he was doing and took his time. I actually screwed up the time and he was nice enough to come back exactly when I needed.

Called for estimate, rep came within two days, got estimate right away, scheduled install for following week. Took two days to install. On time, knowledgeable, friendly, did great job explaining new system. Removed all debris. A bit dusty due to drilling through brick for venting, and cement work could have been a little neater, but all and all, very satisfied with work done.

The woman I spoke to on the phone to schedule an appointment was professional and friendly. I would have loved to have gotten the work completed sooner, but they were very busy (and she was apologetic)...since it was routine maintenance and not an emergency, I cannot completely fault them on my impatience! The man who came to our house to complete the check was very knowledgeable and professional and explained everything he had done after completing the work. All Temp provides a discount to those who sign up for a yearly service of heating/ac check-ups, which is a nice benefit.

So far so good. They have done an acceptable job. I found them on Angie's List and I am happy with their services. They are on time, and they are professional. I like the company and feel comfortable with the prices they have. I saw many reports on them on Angie's List.

I do not recall the price, but it was very reasonable because it was an internal frame. They do the winter and summer check up. They are well trained and pleasant people. They are knowledgeable. They are always on time.

I have not yet decided if I'm going to sign up for a service contract with this company. They did an okay job installing the new unit, but I'm not really thrilled about how noisy it runs. I had them come out and take a look at the problem, but they were not able to fix it. Maybe another brand would have been better. They are very nice, though, and affordable.

I have a three year service contract with them, and I get a pretty good rate for my routine maintenance on the furnace and air conditioner. I have always been pleased with the way I have been treated my their staff, and will continue to do business with them.

I bought a new air conditioner and heater 2 years ago. They are pretty big in the Chicago area. I belong to what they call the furnace club system. They come once in the fall and at the end of spring. In fall, they do maintenance on my furnace. In spring they do the initial air conditioning preparation. The price is for both visits. They are very nice. The main office is in Chicago and they have a branch office in the suburbs. They run a nice business.

Over all our experience was really good. The initial quote was about $4,000 for replacement of the furnace with a 96% efficient unit, replacing the condenser with a 14 seer unit using puron, replacing the coil and adding a humidifier. About 2000 cheaper than the next closest estimate. So we signed them up. Our building was initially rehabbed with a condenser line set of about 100'. Way too long for an efficient system. Furthermore it was at grade in an unsecured location. Halfway through the process we opted to have our new condenser craned to the roof with new electrical provided to the roof. This added an additional estimate of 2500 bucks. They did spend more time than the estimate specified because our building is 90 years old and they had to assemble the new duct from scratch. To our surprise they did not charge us more than the estimate! They did a great job of being on time, and cleaned up! Other than a miscommunication that turned out to be my fault, it went smooth!

Completely checked furnace running before leaving after all new parts installed. Very pleased to have work done that day. He had to leave and come back with the replacement parts. Saved me time in having to set another appointment. Very helpful. Peter serviced on 9/29/07. Have scheduled next year for 9/29/08. The higher price paid was only due to the parts I needed. I was quoted correctly for just the service call.

They return phone calls! They are reliable with their service and equipment.

While taking out one of the old units, they spilled freon on our newly installed bluestone patio. As we were finishing up payment and they were about to leave, I happened to ask if that stain was going to go away (they never actually told us they had spilled the freon). Only because I asked, the installer insisted they were going to make this right and they would come out to power wash it. We did not want them to power wash it since it may damage the new patio, so we were assured that the company would do "whatever it takes to make this right". Long, long story short, they never made it right. Finally they offered to give us a measly $100 off of our yearly service contract. I asked for the full amount of the service contract ($350). I was told "no problem". I got a bill in the mail for our service contract: less $100. I was tired of arguing and I sent back our statement saying we were taking our business elsewhere. I have never heard anything since and our patio still has stains on it.

All Temp came right out to give us an estimate, which I think was around $400 to replace the valve. Unfortunately they didn't carry the type of valve we needed so they had to order one and come back. The serviceman, Al, was very nice and said he'd be back the next week to replace the valve. We had to pay the service fee for the first visit, but not for the followup. The next week Al was right on time and did a great job. The valve was painted over about 30 times over many years, but he was able to figure out a way to leave the valve body in place and just replace the guts with the new valve parts. It works great now and it took less time than he figured so it wound up being cheaper than we expected.

I called first thing in the morning and they were able to make an appointment for me within a couple of hours. 45 minutes later I got a call that there was a service person in the area and they came right away. This was great. He figured out the problem very quickly and was considerate regarding time, as they are paid by the hour. Two weeks later we started having heating problems again and they came out right away, with no charge. It ended up that I was using a filter that was too dense for the furnace. I had such a positive experience with All Temp that I signed up for their service program. However in the end I realized that with the Angie's List discount you don't really save anymore with the service program. But it is good to have anyway.

I really like that they show up in the window they say they will. On top of that if you call the day they are scheduled to come out they're able to give you a better idea of when in the window they will be coming and offer to call you on your cell phone when they are on there way; this makes it possible to go do errands etc. instead of wasting a whole day. The technician that came was friendly and professional as well as thorough. He found that neither furnace (basement & main floor have separate furnaces) was drafting it's carbon monoxide out the chimney and even checked the hot water heater to see if it was drafting & found that it wasn't either (above what he was required to do for the job). He told me that the chimney was most likely clogged and would need to have a chimney sweep come to check it. I'm glad he caught the problem before there were any carbon monoxide related health problems with my family (we also found out that my carbon monoxide detector needed to be replaced).

When I called them it was super hot out so I figured there would be a big wait for service. However, they were able to come out that very afternoon. Very friendly, helpful customer service on the phone. The repairman was right on time and figured out the problem quickly and got the a/c up and running. They also have a nice Angie's List discount which is always helpful! We will definitely use them again.

Antonio arrived as scheduled and began inspecting the problem with the furnace. He immediately was able to give me an answer to why the ac wasn't working. Not only was he able to identify the problem, he was able to tell me in complete detail what significance the malfunction part played. He located a replacement part right away and responded back in a timely manner to finish his work. I felt as though I received not only excellent service but a little education on furnaces as well. Excellent job All-Temp!

It went really well. The service technician was very thorough and picked up on some problems that needed to be addressed. Problems being some rusted out pipes.

Our technician Al was fantastic. We've had four guys come out to look at it this summer, but Al was by far the best. He didn't find the leak, but told us exactly what he'll do next spring to find it and solve the problem completely.

The secretary answered and said that they are only working on heat units right now. Also, she was rude over the phone when stating that.
