All Temp Heating & Air Conditioning

I was happy that they came out promptly. They charged a premium for coming out that evening but it was worth it. We definitely needed to get the air conditioning fixed. Overall, it was a good experience. The person who came out was knowledgeable, very friendly, and helpful. Price wise, it wasn't cheap but I'm not sure if it was necessarily more expensive than it was suppose to be. The cost of the work was more than I expected going into the project. Looking at it afterwards, it seemed about right.

A/C stopped working. I called All Temp on a Monday around 4pm, they scheduled a visit for the next afternoon (window of noon-5pm) and alerted me of the service charges. On Tuesday the tech called ahead of his visit and arrived when he said he would. I thought I needed freon recharge. Service tech checked system inside the house and out, eventually replaced disconnect box at condenser.Showed me the part he replaced. Very communicative and friendly tech (Tom), I'll be sure to request him next time if possible. Final cost reflects my joining of the discount club/maintenance agreement.

Excellent response time with service employee indentifying the issue and explaining the problem. Appears that the blower wheel had accumulated some heavy dust that threw off the rotation of the blower wheel - affecting the motor. The rep. got the part number and went back to the shop to get a new motor. Installed same day and system was up and running for my tenants. Tenants happy with a quiet furnace and I was happy that I saved myself some money by cleaning the blower housing and blower wheel while the service rep was getting the motor.

Our central A/C stopped working and we thought it was the blower motor. All-Temp came out on time and with same-day service. The technician found that it was just the capacitor and changed just that when he could have just as well charged us for the motor that we did not need. We wouldn't have known otherwise, I was amazed by their honesty and fast prompt service. I would absolutely use them again and recommend them for your A/C and heating needs.

Very professional and courteous. The salesman came on Friday, provided a very competitive price, and we agreed to have the furnace installed the next day. The installers showed up on time and completed the job in about 6 hours.

Came promptly, technician was knowledgeable and was quick to diagnose the problem.

Our 20 year old A/C unit died the evening of Sat., June 20, 2009 just when the temperatures were expected to start climbing into the 90's in the upcoming week. Monday morning at 7:30 AM I called All Temp to have someone come out to give us an estimate on a new unit. The representative was here the same day in less than 4hrs. He helped me choose the unit best suited for our home and assured me that it would be delivered and installed the next day. True to his word, All Temp was here Tuesday morning by 8:30 and our new unit was up and running before 11:30 AM, much to my relief since the temperature in the house was already registering 84 degrees. I couldn't have been more pleased!

Overall job went very well. The vice president was very knowledgable and seemed honest. The guy who did the work, Danny, seemed very good. I would ask to have Danny do any work if you use All Temp. The new duct work works well, the air flow is distrubuted well to the two enclosed porches. I am happy about this work. They still have to finish up some small details, but it is my fault they have not come back yet as I have been too busy to schedule them to come back.

We picked this company based solely on all of the positive Angies List reviews. I guess that was a mistake. Our A/C unit is on the older side, and doesn't circulate air that well in the house. The upstairs is sweltering on not so hot days. The salesmen came out to talk to us about possibly zoning our house. He recommended against that, and said that he thought installing a new a/c unit would do the trick, in the upstairs level. He gave me a ballpark estimate, and said that he couldn't tell me exactly how much they would charge until the next morning, until he "ran the numbers". I gave him my husbands information and asked that he speak with him when he did have the final number. We were more then willing to consider using them for the entire job, in fact we were just waiting for the estimate and would have gone ahead. It's 9 days later, and neither my husband or I have heard anything from him. We found another heating and A/C company who were more then happy to do business with us. They are installing a new furnace and air conditioner next week, and we couldn't be happier with them....the salesman even came out at 9am Sunday on short notice. The only reason I'm not putting their name in here is because everyone would just think this was an ad for that company and not a sincere complaint.

The sales man was very detail oriented. He was very committed and responsible. He helped us to feel confident about working with All Temp. The quote was very good. The crew did very good quality work. We have been pleased.

I explained when I made the first call that I have a baby with a heart condition and not having hot water is a SIGNIFICANT sanitation and health issue for my family. Suffice to say, NOBODY showed up and NOBODY answers their phones. This is NOT a 24-hour company and their word is NOT to be trusted. They left me scrambling at 8:00 at night trying to find someone to fix a problem identified 12 hours earlier. I have not yet been able to find someone to come out so that I can actually wash up so I can pick up my child.

Air conditioning in a 3rd floor unit was blowing warm air, causing the apartment to get hotter and not cooler. I had asked the company to call before the technician came, and I received the call telling me that he would be arriving in 10-15 minutes, but he actually didn't arrive until an hour later. (This wasn't really a problem, since it was still within the original window they had given us, but caused us to constantly look out the window for an hour wondering if the guy was at the wrong house.) It turned out to be an issue with the circuit breakers, which just required him to flip the switch, with nothing to fix. We only had to pay for the service call itself, but Jonathan (technician) was nice and even after he confirmed the AC was working, he went ahead and checked all 3 of our AC units to make sure they were generally functioning properly - and labelled the units for us too. This is the second time we've called AllTemp resulting in just paying for the service call with no additional costs, and both times the technicians have been quite nice doing a bit extra to make up for the fact that we called them for something we could have easily fixed ourselves....

It was ok. It was not a great experience to rave about. They were timely and polite.

Great. A tad expensive, but better than sweating it out all weekend long!

Everything went fine except for one glaring problem. When I called All-Temp I explained that our basement unit needed an air filter and that I had been told by another company that it was an odd size. I asked that the technician look at the model number and figure out what size it needed. I also asked that if possible, could he replace it? After he left I asked my wife if he had taken care of the filter. She said no. I called All-Temp and the woman said the guy had written the filter size on the receipt. When I checked the receipt it said 14 X 25 X 1, which is a standard size in any Home Depot. I called her back and asked if she was sure and she assured me this guy was sure. So I went out and bought three of those filters and immediately found they didn't fit. When I checked on the Internet I discovered that my model air conditioner unit took a 13 X 21.5 X 1 -- indeed, an odd size. What a pain in the neck! If the guy had only taken the time to listen to my request and take it seriously. Needless to say it made me question everything he did. Final note: As I was bent over trying to force the wrong filter into the unit, I saw that the installer had written the correct size on the unit itself -- right where any responsible technician would see it.

They are very reasonably priced. They show up on time to do the work. They are good people who come out to do the work. They come out and do a semi annual check up for my air conditioner and furnace.

Salesman came to our house on May 9, 2009, to discuss installation of new water heater, furnace and a/c. We also requested quote on a whole house dehumidifier because our house tends to get damp in the spring/summer. Received quote on the phone and installation date was set for May 28. Installers arrived early May 28 and set up new water heater, furnace and a/c. They returned on May 29 to finish and before they left they told us they couldn't find the switch on the whole house dehumidifier. They said a service manager would come the next day, Saturday, May 30 to troubleshoot. They did take away the old appliances and left the basement clean. Service manager arrived next day. He located the on/off switch on the back of the dehumidifier and said the pipes that carry away the water from the unit were installed backward. Monday, June 1, a young installer arrived in the morning and re-set the dehumidifier on bricks we provided and fixed the pipes. He also caulked leaks in the ducting that my husband had noticed. He was polite and speedy in fixing the problems and collected a check for all the work done. We are happy with the low-noise a/c, the reduced moisture and better quality air in the house.

Sales person was very helpful and responsive, scheduling immediately, and plumbers were exactly on time, finishing within my time frame. Plumbers were knowledgeable, courteous, clean, and efficient.

I called late morning and asked if someone can drop by before noon for a quote. To my suprise, Dave C. showed up and explained all the available options. Dave beat an estimate from another company so the following morning I gave him a call and mentioned that my plans changed and I needed a slightly different system and needed it installed today! He made some calls and set it up within an hour. The installer came in late but this was due to the fact that the order changed and he had to pickup different coils from another location. He explained everything and removed old unit and plugged in new one. When we flipped the switch, nothing worked so he had to open the blower box and fix the wires. All the promised work was done and the system works great. I also needed their insurance papers for the village permit and as promised, they e-mailed it to me the next day.

Alltemp employee Zac showed up promptly, was helpful with many aspects of our new house in terms of the heating and cooling, diagnosed the problem with our A/C and gave an estimate. He ended up coming in way below the estimate and picking up the needed spare motor and installing it the same day. Very prompt, great service. Would call again in a heartbeat.

They were very professional, educated, and very neat in their service. Their price was a little bit on the higher side, but the quality of work was excellent. I give them high ratings on all counts.

I noticed that we had no cold air coming from our A/C, so I called All-Temp to see if they could inspect it and fix the problem. They were prompt and sent someone to inspect the system. The technician was prompt and courteous and determined that I had a slow freon leak and a valve that kept freezing up on my Space Pac air handler which would need to at least replace the the coil and fan unit (cost approx. $5,500). He seemed apologetic and wanted to try to avoid replacing it, but based on his experience, he said it would need replacing. He forgot to tell me of my discount club 15% discount (bringing the cost down to $4665). I got a second opinion - the other contractor came and brush cleaned my air filters (the All Temp technician said they were not that dirty) and vacuumed and brushed out the air intake ducts. The problem was fixed for a cost of ~$100. This seemed to be basic maintenance and I was going to be charged almost $5,000.

We wanted to control the heat exchange better in our 110 year old home that does not have the greatest ductwork serving each floor. Instead starting over, ripping the ducts out, and costing us tons, Mike felt that controlling the mainfloor and upstairs air supply with a dampering zoning system would get us closer to where we want to be with even air exchange in the house. Never did he act like this would completely solve the temp issues upstairs, but he felt like this was the most cost effective way to even out air exchange..the house is old, it's impossible to get it perfect! I liked that Mike didn't try to sell me the $1,500 tax credit - he stated it was available and something we should look into (which we already planned to do) and then he emailed me the link to the forms. There was no 'used car saleman' pressure at all. He gave straight opinions and was fair in price negotiations. Installers Solomon and Bryan were great. They came early and stayed late until it was done. They cleaned up nicely, they were friendly to my wife, my dog, even my chatty neighbor. You could tell immediately that these guys have been doing this for decades. Solomon walked me through the functions of the furnace and thermostat until I completely understood. Good job from these guys.

They are good. They kept coming back until they fixed everything right.
