All Temp Heating & Air Conditioning

We bid our project to 4 reputable contractors, both large and small, that we found on Angies List. Our first contact was Mike Clark, who showed up not only on time but a bit early and waited for me until I arrived home from work. He did a good job at surveying the scope of work. Mike's bid showed up via email within about 24 hours. It was comprehensive, as were the other bids, so they were easy to compare. The All Temp bid was the best value for the dollar and ending up being the least expensive overall. Within a couple of ays we were scheduling the installation at a time that was most convenient for us. Eric and Don showed up at our house on time, they were professional, friendly and informative. The two day installation took three days -- due to some unforeseen circumstances. Although the job took much longer and they ran iott some difficulty with the way the system was originally installed it did not cost us one penny over the quote. They were neat and clean during the whole process. The thermostat that was to be installed was on back-order so we were told that we would be contacted when it arrived and that we were not required to pay for any of the installation until it was complete. I anticipated that they would expect payment less the thermostat, but no. That was a nice surprise. All in all working with All Temp was a great experience

They were on time and clean. They did the work and left. We got quotes from a number of people and they were competitive.

Peter came to serviced my furnace. He was nice, professional, arrived on time, and answered all questions.

It was great. They were easy to work with and did a very professional job. Got done quickly and cleaned up when they were done.

They were very thorough and professional. The prices were slightly higher but their service was good. I had to get the units ready for summer. The fan was missing in the units which they put in. One unit was fully covered with the stuff that kids blow to make a wish and the other was partially covered with it. They cleaned the stuff and put in the missing fan. They were good. They offered some advice to change the system. The government has offered a $1500 rebate. A person came here to discuss it and then he would not stop calling. It would take a lot of money to replace the furnace and air conditioner to a more efficient one. The newer ones have two speeds as against a single speed the old units had. Improved technology costs more. I was not keen on that and was not very comfortable when he kept calling me.

They were just good. I thought they were very qualified and prompt. The prices were reasonable and I was very happy with them.

I scheduled an appointment to have our boiler serviced on August 21, 2009. Shawn the dispatcher called at 10:30 a.m. to let me know that Eddy would arrive in about 20 minutes. At 12:00, still no Eddy. I called to find out where he was and Shawn called me back to apologize for the fact that he made a mistake. Eddy showed up at 12:45. After I unlocked the boiler room, Eddy asked me if I wanted him to bleed all of the radiators. I responded that you don?t bleed radiators on a steam heat system and he argued with me. When Eddy had finished the job, he apologized for the fact that he had accidently broken one of two knobs on the valves that shut off the water to the glass gauge where you view the water level and water color. He promised that All-Temp would order a new knob and install it for free. He advised me to call All-Temp about this knob because things like this often fall through the cracks. I called All-Temp on August 25 and was assured that they were taking care of it. I called again on August 28 just to ask for a ballpark figure of how long it would take to get the knob. I explained that I was going to be moving and wanted to get this loose end wrapped up prior to passing on the boiler to the new owners. They told me it would take 10-14 days. Surprisingly, I received a phone call from Shawn on August 31 telling me that the part had ?been found.? Shawn said Eddy would be by to install the knob between 8am and 1pm. Eddy called at 12:45 to let me know that he would be arriving in 45 minutes to install the knob that had been fixed with glue. He arrived at 1:30. I inspected the glued part and explained that I had been promised a new part. He explained that the new part was the wrong one so they had to glue the old one instead. They wanted to buy a new knob, but it was not sold individually. He also stated that the knob would not have broken if we had served the boiler last year. So now it?s our fault? Needless to say, I cancelled a second appointment to have them service the boiler at our new house after we move. d-o-n-e, DONE!

The company was very good with follow up after original estimate. The price was higher than competitors but they were willing to negotiate. The installation wasn't completed on the day as scheduled because the people who they arranged to remove the old boiler weren't able to show up, so it had to be rescheduled on two subsequent days (1 for the removal, 1 for the finishing installation).

When they came back after they put in the furnace, they replaced the thermostat for no charge. Every time I've asked them to come out, they've been terrific.

They were always replacing things and every time it would be a different guy who would replace the parts. It did not work after 9 times and then I met the service manager to ask him to come out and check. He refused to come and told me to call someone who I am not supposed to call in the first place. They were too bit and very impersonal. I was a member of their discount club and I am supposed to be at the head of their line. I pay them money once a year to check the furnace and air conditioning. I would call in to say there is no heat and they would take 2 days to come out always. They never came out right away. There were times when I had to live off the fire place but eventually the furnace would work because of a rare problem. Then I kept them for air conditioning this summer but they called 4 different times telling that they had other appointments. They would call right before, telling that they have other things to do. I am retired but if I was working then I would have to change my plans 4 times a day because of them. They were a nightmare for me. I was a prepaid customer so they would not get any money from me. They thought they would push me down a few weeks to get a repair. I thought they may be good on the air conditioner after seeing how they failed 9 times on the furnace. I would never use them again.

We chose them because it was the dead of winter and they were able to give us the fastest service. My experience with them was very good.

The two people who eventually came and did the work were great, and we are happy with the result, but I have never been so frustrated with the service I got leading up to the repair. We knew we were having ducts removed by an asbestos contractor. We called over a week in advance to schedule All Temp to replace the ducts that had been removed. We were put in touch with John. He promised to come the day before the asbestos removal to give us an estimate. He said he would be able to do the work right away. We were concerned because of course we couldn't use our air conditioner until his work was done. He did not show up that day and never called. I had to call them to find out what was going on. The people on the phone in the office told me that John handles his own appointments and they said they would have John call me back. John did call back and politely apologized for forgetting to show up. He promised to come between 2-4 the next day, right after the asbestos removal team left. I did not get a phone call from him until after 4. He did come. He said he could not do the work until Monday because they had so many emergency calls to answer over the weekend. I was upset because we had called to schedule this over a week ago. He said he had just spoken to his boss and that was the soonest they could come. So my family and I suffered through the 92 degree heat of the weekend and anxiously awaited John's arrival on Monday morning. HE DIDN'T SHOW UP AND HE DIDN'T EVEN CALL! At that point I was livid. I called the office again and they had John cal me back. He said that he needed to reschedule for the next day. I said that was unacceptable. He said he would call his boss and find out if someone could come that day. He called me back and promised someone would be there by noon. I decided to get in touch with his boss (the owner) myself. I should have done that long ago. They did end up sending two people to do the work, and as I said we are happy with the results. I do not understand why this company employs John and lets him do his own scheduling. He was impossible and inconsiderate. I will not use this company again because of my experience with John.

Went well - quick, reliable and painless.

They did the service in one day. They were there shortly before I left for work. When I got back, it was on. They were great. They made the appointment for somebody to come out the next week to make sure it was running fine. That lasted about 20 minutes.

24/7 service is advertised but they were unable to get someone out to inspect and fix the A/C on the weekend. A/C had a slow leak and they recharged with new freon. Service was courteous and they did a good job. i was pleased with the price.

They were reliable and responsive. I think their price was too high. They are only here for half an hour. They were always on time. They are a good company, but they are too expensive.

Service man was in the area and arrived within the hour. Condensation in furnace room resulted from high humidity today and the AprilAire humidifier may have contributed to problem. Armando checked the filters, the blower, freon level and advised that everything was working properly. Money well spent for peace of mind!

Our air conditioner went out and they installed a new one for us. It was a good price. They installed it quickly the very next day after we bought it.

One guy came out and he was alright. He was pretty laid back and matter of fact. He went through the motions and did an alright job. He warmed up after a bit and explained why he did the freon. I had to ask him a lot of questions about the freon. He knew a lot more than I did. I think the price was pretty comparable. I would probably use them again, but I don't know if I would recommend them.

The entire process was very smooth and very quick. I have used All Temp for the maintenance on my furnace and air conditioner for a few years and when I saw them listed on Angie's List under "water heaters" I decided to give the a call. I entered the request on-line and within just an hour someone called and gave me a quote over the phone. All Temp was there the next afternoon and installed the new water heater. They did not leave a mess and were in and out quickly.

whole experience was terrific with All Temp beginning with using 24 hour service when we returned home from vacation during a hot spell to find the furnace not blowing. Even though we called at 7pm the Saturday of Memorial weekend, a tech came out at 11pm at night (for only $105). Unfortunately, shortly after he left, something else stopped working and her returned the following day for no charge. When the salesman came out to give us an estimate on a new furnace, he also looked at our older model air conditioner and said we didn't need a new one - we could probably go another 5 years or more. Great news and no unnecessary up sell. On installation day, the installers arrived right on time and got straight to work. within no time the furnace was installed, the air conditioning unit serviced and the basement cleaned. These guys were professional from start to finish!

I called All Temp and asked for a quote on installing a humidifier on our heating/cooling system. They had me describe our heating/cooling set up and gave us a pretty accurate estimate. Another company I called told us it couldn't be done based on the spacial set up of our utility room - I'm guessing they just didn't offer a humidifier option that would work with it. The guy came in, looked at our set up to see what he needed, and fetched everything from his van. He was very conscientious about keeping the work area neat, and was also very patient about explaining how the humidifier worked and what maintenance was needed to both my husband and I, and even to my Mother when she wandered over to poke her nose in. The end result looked neat and functional, and the humidifier appears to be working.

They were professional and the quality of the service was very good. I have no regrets about hiring them.

We contacted All-Temp based on high Angie's List ratings. Mike Clark came out for an estimate. He then phoned several times to follow up, which helped, as it was a busy time at work and I hadn't gotten around to responding to the estimates. We talked about high efficiency models and he gave me a quote. When I told him we had a better price from someone else on a similar product, he brought down the price to compete. The actual installation, about 1.5 weeks later, was very smooth, although it took over a day. The technicians were very professional and courteous, and did a great job cleaning up.
