All Temp Heating & Air Conditioning

The installation was perfect with the perfect technicians. They were knowledgable and dutiful. They were about the business of completing an excellent job. Price negotiations could have gone a lot better. I am a poor haggler so it was touch and maybe. Wish I came away with a better price. We had two sets of equipment installed, so there was mixups on the serial numbers even though the installs took place on different days and apartments. This is important for warranty information.

The service was adequate. The technician noted there was some dirt in the condensation drain tube for the furnace which, in his opinion was what caused the problem. Like I said, the service was fine but the $95.00 charge for a tech to come out is a bit galling. I'm going to go back to the company I used back in my old home. They don't charge up front, just prorated on time spent and material (if any) used.

I liked the recommendations that they had got. I also liked the salesman. He wasn?t pushy. I?ll definitely use their services in the future.

We were extremely happy with the work performed by Tom. All Temp gave us a 5-hour window for the service call, but Tom called when he was 15 minutes away and was spot on - he showed up precisely 15 minutes after he called. Tom checked both furnaces, cleaned them out and found a minor issue with one of the furnaces. He even went so far to buy the replacement part, just in case, but was able to fix the problem without replacing the part - so it was great that he didn't replace it unnecessarily. While he was here, he also helped us out by offering to perform a quick fix to replace the shut off valve on our water heater - and at the same time, gave us a great recommendation for how to fix our water heater setup (which made more logical and economical sense than what two different plumbers recommended). Our total cost included participation in All Temp's "Comfort Club", so we essentially paid for a bundle service of furnace maintenance and AC maintenance (to be performed in the spring). It's saving us $80 overall and the repair that was performed was also discounted 15%. Tom was extremely professional and personable. He could have been quite irate at us when he almost slipped on our front stairs, but instead gave us a recommendation on how to repaint them to make them less slippery in wet weather! Overall, it was an excellent experience. We'll be calling All Temp for all future HVAC work (and any water heater repairs) and will be asking for Tom specifically.

Superb! I had found them on Angie's List, called them, got an appointment that morning, was given an estimate right then. Furthermore, Mike (sales and V.P.) was very knowledgeable about the federal tax credit for replacing furnaces with high efficiency ones, the People's gas rebate, and was quite honest about the condition of my old furnace, which was fairly apparent, but no one really wants a furnace for Christmas do they? The guys who installed it came the day after I booked, spent the whole day, fixed a problem regarding our water heater hook-up (informing us it was a miracle we didn't all get carbon monoxide poisoning--I do have a carbon monoxide detector but wondering now if it was working correctly...), showed me what I needed to know about the unit, and were generally fantastic guys. They also pointed out the people who installed my central air didn't hitch it correctly to the furnace so they fixed that, and went into detail of how to care for my whole house humidifier which was also done by a previous company. LOVED them! To be honest, Mike estimated the job to take 5 hours, which the guys said right away wouldn't be possible, but we have a VERY old house and everything takes longer than expected. No worries from me, and the job they did was very, very thorough. They are my new a/c furnace people.

Set up an appointment to have my furnace serviced. The day of the first scheduled appointment, when I had not heard from them, I called and the person on the phone apologized profusely, said my service technician was sick and we would need to reschedule. Had I not called, I probably would have been waiting all day. We rescheduled. The day before the re-scheduled appointment they called to cancel explaining that they didn't service my neighborhood (Streeterville). They didn't know that when I called the first time?

I would use them again in the future.

They are basically good. They offer something called the discount club and the price is always reasonable. Their service is always good and professional. I would continue to use them in future.

Their technicians were polite and courteous. They were good people and knew what they were doing. They gave us a window between 3 and 11, but were extremely late. They had apparently forgotten about us and we had to call the office. That was not a pleasant experience.

He told me I had to replace the furnace because there were cracks in the system. I could get a bit of a discount because the furnace was only 11 years old. His price with the discount was high. These were the original installers of the furnace. It seemed the technician came to a quick conclusion because it was late in the day. I wanted a second opinion. Four Seasons had a coupon for a free second opinion and I called them. The tech said it was not a crack but a dysfunctional motherboard. He would investigate further before recommending a new furnace. The gas valve was also bad. Between the cost of the two items, it was worth it just to get a new furnace. Four Seasons had a better price than Alltemp and it seemed that their technician was more knowledgeable than Alltemp's technician so I went with them.

It went excellent, they gave me some pointers about the system such as the different filters we can use to save money and make the system more efficient.

They're going to order a part for the water heater. They said that it has the chance to be a complicated thing, and I concluded from his information that I wanted him to buy the part rather than buy a new water heater. He gave me all the information I needed to make the decision. They gave me some money off since I'm an Angie's List member, it was supposed to cost $89. I thought that was very nice since I didn't have a coupon at the time. They have just been wonderful for me. I would recommend them anywhere. They had given me a time, and they actually came a little before the time so I didn't have to sit around waiting all day.

They were conscientious. The price was the lowest among all the quotes we received for the job. However, their service and professionalism were high.

This was a BIG job. All Temp worked at the same time as a General Contractor who was beginning major remodeling. The design and layout of the heating system was modified completely. Although the contractor did not choose All Temp (I did) the two worked together very smoothly and easily. As you might expect with such a large job, unexpected things were encountered, and in every case, All Temp responded very well. For example, there was a manufacturing defect in the water heater. The manufacturer (A.O. Smith) tried to be extremely sluggish about providing a replacement part (one week's delay!) However All Temp made outstanding, successful efforts and I had hot water continuously. The old ductwork ruined the layout of the two main floors and was leaky. At my request, All Temp moved the ductwork to a new, more hidden location. It was very challenging to put the ductwork there, however All Temp got it done and the system works well. Before All Temp did the work, utility bills were high but temperature regulation was poor - I paid a lot and was constantly uncomfortable. Upstairs bedrooms were drafty and cold in winter, while the basement was hot. The opposite was true in summer. However All Temp successfully and completely fixed this. The new system is nearly silent. Now the upper floor is warm in winter and cool in summer. The temperature is very even throughout a floor - no drafts, cold, or hot spots. The zoning makes it easy to heat and cool only the areas where I actually live, saving energy and reducing cost. The house is always comfortable and guests even remark about it. All Temp's crew was very exacting in the way they did their work. They were obviously very experienced and this helped them creatively deal with many challenges related to the desired new location of the ductwork. It was pleasant to have them around. Similarly, the office staff were very professional and responsive. The sales representative, Mike King, got things done without any excuses. All Temp is probably the best company, of any kind, I've ever dealt with. They seem like they could surmount nearly any challenge and also seemed to stop at nothing to get a good result for customers.

I don?t know if they are always very prompt when we call about returning a call and having the service man come out. They come in once a year. They have been doing the annual service for about 3 years now. I think the price is reasonable.

My furnace hasn't been working, so I called alltemp based on their reviews on AL. The office person I spoke to was very nice, and she said that a tech would be out between now (10:30 am) and 2 pm. 3 pm rolls around, with no one coming by, so I called again, and was told the on call tech (Peter) would call me. I was surprised that he called within 2 minutes, and said he'd be out here in less than an hour. He did show up right on time, put on his protective booties (nice touch) and got to work, and diagnosed it in short order as a blown controller board. He sad he had the board in the truck, and replacing it would be $425 (plus $130 diagnostic fee). I gave him the go ahead, and the work was completed pretty quickly, and the furnace works fine. Peter was great. The only problem was that when I checked the board online, the part was available for $120. I'm fine with paying people a reasonable amount, but a 250% markup seems a little excessive to me. Overall, I was pretty annoyed with the no show tech and the price, but once the tech made it out, he did do a good job.

They did a really good job. We also have a maintenance agreement with them.

They were professional and punctual. Their pricing was reasonable and their product was of high quality.

I called to schedule an appointment, and the first available was in 2 weeks. On the day of appointment, the office called to state the technician was on his way. About 5 minutes later, Lucas, the tech called to say he was almost there. It was raining out, and Lucas put on booties so our floors wouldn't get wet. He serviced the furnace, did a great job cleaning it and told us he found no problems. This is an old furnace, and we asked if he could check the attached humidifier to see if we can get it to work. He determined that humidifier never worked, and likely was left from the previous furnace over 20 years ago. We opted for the Angies List discount, vs their discount program. We will use them in the future.

Tom was punctual, professional and friendly. He explained what he was doing and and why he was doing it. He checked that everything was operating properly including the humidifier.

I arranged a service date on a Monday for the following Monday and the Saturday prior they called to cancel because they were overbooked. This was only an issue because our furnance was not functioning and the outside temperature was 25 to 45 degrees. It was 50 degrees in our house for a week!! The other issue is I had to scramble to get someone else to come out on Monday...my only day off that week.

They were really good. They also installed an air-filter, humidifier, water heater and an air-conditioning unit. It was amazing and the guy was great. The guy was good and he really knew his stuff and he guided us the right way and he did not try to sell us something we did not need. We ended up going with the high efficient seal tank and our heating bill went from $ 190 to $90 a month. There was one guy there John Lillis and he was really good. They came on time, did what they said they were going to do and cleaned up after themselves.

My home has two AC compressors on the roof (three stories up) and one of them was not working like it should. Despite it being a very hot week which significantly increased their work load, they came right over. The technician went over the entire unit and identified the problem. He gave me a few ways to fix it and then told me what he would do if it were his unit. (That kind of information is VERY helpful when one isn't in the HVAC trade). It was a great suggestion and it worked beautifully. He then suggested that I have the cooling coils sealed to mitigate any future issues but that they couldn't do that kind of work this week because it was preventative in nature and their focus was getting peoples homes cooled off. Made perfect sense to me. So a week and a half later they called me to schedule a time to have a sealant injected into the coils. They did it around my schedule and did a fabulous job. I couldn't be happier with All Temp!!

They were fine. They installed and guaranteed the furnace and we haven?t had any bad experiences with them. The last time that we did some comparison shopping and their prices were good.
