All Temp Heating & Air Conditioning

The appointment was very easy to make. Scheduled the maintenance for 1 week from the date I called, the technician showed up on time and did the work they said they would. After he was done, the technician explained what he did to us and was very courteous.

Took a little longer than expected. Had to have them return to level the air condioner properly which should have been done by installers before completion of job. Otherwise, the air conditioning seems to be performing well. Have not used heat yet so nothing to report as to performance. They were very neat and careful while in our home. Left inside and outside clear of debris.

It went well. They came in for the quote. I had several other people in and it was one of the better quotes. They did a good job replacing it in one day and it has been working ever since.

I discovered water in my furnace room before Noon on a Friday. Within a few hours an All Temp technician was here to assess the issue. My water heater had a slow leak from the top and needed to be replaced. The first available appointment was on Monday. Using towels to absorb the water I was able to manage the flow throughout the weekend. The technicians, Tony and Jeff, arrived early on Monday morning. After removing the 13-yr old tank they had to run out for a special-sized water heater to fit the tight closet space and an aluminum pan and returned with a Rheem Fury, 40-gallon tank. The plumbing needed some rework and the valve broke just as Tony was finishing the job. He stayed late into the day, installed new copper pipe and a valve. The All Temp team was professional throughout the process and honored their quoted price even though they ran into a few obstacles along the way. I can't thank Tony enough for his hard work and great attitude! If I need other HVAC work my first call will be to All Temp. Great experience!

By the next day, I had a new water heater installed. All of the service technicians that were at my house were very professional and pleasant. When they installed my new water heater, they even put tarps down on the carpet to keep the area clean. They were prompt and efficient. Everyone I dealt with from the service agent on the phone, to the sales people to the technicians were friendly, very helpful, professional and kind. This was during a heat wave and since they service air conditioners, I figured I wouldn't get serviced right away. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with their prompt and thorough service!

While we were out of the country on our honeymoon (3 weeks), the temperature in Chicago reached the upper 90's. As a result, our loft heated well above the 78 degree setting we had put on our thermostat. Apparently, our AC unit overheated (the compressor) and for at least 2 weeks, attempted to kick in to regulate the temperature. Upon our arrival home, not only was the house a balmy 86 degrees inside, our electric bill had sored to $350 for the month. A few days later, our original HVAC vendor came out to inspect. They said the unit was trashed and we needed to buy a new one at $5600, but we could get a gov't rebate of $1500. But the gentlemen was very unprofessional and scared my wife with his questions and apperance ( I was not home.) So I got on Angie List and found All Temp. That very next day, an All Temp Tech (Erik) came out and got the old unit to fire up again. It cost $170 for the service (inspect, clean, "ice" the compressor, and charge with freon. So we were back in business with cool air. However, he strongly suggested we look into a new unit, as the one we had would most likely fail again. He said that they would apply the $170 towards the cost of a new unit if it indeed went out. And indeed it did. Two weeks later in another heat wave. I called All Temp and they came out for an estimate a day later. The quote was much like the first companies, however, John was much more professional and informative and let us know that the refund only applied if you replaced both the Heating and Cooling Units. Which didn't make sense for us since the heating unit was in fine working order. So John worked up a quote and recommended a Bryant unit that was $3900, but with the Angies List discount and the $170 refund of the service, we had the whole thing for $3400 installed. Two days later, they sent out a tech to do the install and had the unit working in about 6 hours with little fuss. My only negative comment-- the tech installing talked more than he worked and again made my wife feel very unfortable with questions and comments. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised by how responsive and customer focused All Temp was towards the customer. Improve the tech/customer dynamics, and it would have been a 10-out-of-10 rating.

Got quotes from a few companies and input from neighbors. Checked reviews on Angies List and Yelp. AllTemp had the best reviews and the best price. They are the largest Bryant dealer in the nation so I guess they get good pricing from Bryant..which is part of Carrier. Mike Clark came out the next day for the quote and did not try to upsell or add on unnecessary products. He gave me a very fair price and they came to install it a week later. The installation went smoothly. I spent alot of time researching SEER and AFUE ratings and all the options available in HVAC systems and was glad I did. I was surprised at the price differences in the quotes I got from different companies. Do your homework.But definitely get a quote from these guys. I was very satisfied with the whole experience. Also, their maintenance program is alot less than my old one. And they told me not to buy it until next year.

Started badly as they failed to assign a technician to us on the day we scheduled. However, office person very responsive, made sure a technician came out the next day - Saturday. Ramone was really great. Took his time, explained what he was doing and provided some helpful information and tips. I had paid for one cleaning via Angies List and gave the technician a check for the other unit for higher price. A week later, their office contacted me to return my check and charge me the Angie's List price for the second unit. Really impressed with that.

My a/c stopped working on Thurs nite - one of the hottest days we had. I didn't want to call for emergency service so I waited till Friday morning and left a call back number. I called again an hour later b/c I hadn't heard anything back and the representative took care of me then. I was home that day so they had a technician out to me by noon. He was able to identify the problem and fixed my unit within 90 minutes. By 2pm I was back up and running.

I called All Temp after using a different service company, which just added freon and didn't FIX the a/c, so after a week the a/c was not working properly again! After telling All Temp the situation and what the other company's technician told me, we scheduled the appointment. They were professional, friendly and called to confirm time of arrival. After the tech, Tom, finished the job with my tenant, he called me to explain in detail what repairs he did on the unit and the condition of the unit. I am very pleased with the service.

George came out and was very nice. He looked over both our units and cleaned and checked them out. He had some recommendations for us on things we can do to make them run better. Our filters were really dirty, and he even offered to run to the hardware store and pick some us for us, I thanks him, but that is not his job, so I didn't want him to go out of his way for us. But he offered, which was very nice. I just purchased some later that day. I will also be calling them this fall to come look at my heating units. I purchased this from a special offer "Angie's List The Big Deal" so I got a very discounted price. When I called they were able to schedule me within a day or two. Very good experience.

Overall it was good experience and the two installers were courteous and professional and did tyhe job promptly and professionally. The workers were very costermer friendly and answered all my questions and talked about how I could say money given my furnace also has some problems that they suggested could wait until later. They gave the lowest estimate for the work and gave the Angies discount. The only thing I would say that was not positive is that I think i should have bargained harder for the final price because I think they are about $ 500 higher than I should have paid according to a friend of mind that had a simuliar job done in the suburbs. I would still use them again I think as it relateds to the quality of the work. it was fine just a little above the normal costs. My suggestion to others would be bargain hard about the final price of the work.!!!!

I had ordered service on Angie's list for an air conditioning cleaning and inspection at cost of $55. A week later my AC is leaking water because of some kind of blockage in the drain. Should inspection catch this issue?

For the estimate portion, Mike was very helpful, and took the time to answer a number of HVAC-related questions that I had. He was also very responsive after the estimate appointment when I called him. The 2-man crew showed up on time, and spent the entire day installing the furnace and AC unit. Installation required them to direct vent the furnace to the outside of the house, so they had to route PVC across the ceiling and outside. They sealed up the vent well; my only concern is that the thermometer is right beside the vent, and so I'm not sure it will get an accurate humidity/temperature reading in the winter once the furnace starts venting out. The next morning the unit had a lot of condensation on it, and they sent someone right out to take care of the problem--free of charge, and fixed it. We'll see how the heat works in several months but for now, all seems to be great.

It went well. They were on time and were able to make the repair in a timely manor.

The technitian showed up on time, advised me of things to watch for, and cleaned and inspected all 3 air conditioners.

I called for an appointment on August 5, and they came on August 6! Wow! Almost instant service. The technician, Nicolla, came in the time frame promised. He was very polite and friendly. He checked everything necessary very efficiently. Before he finished, he even decided (on his own) that the compressor was not level enough and he leveled it - saying that being unlevel was not good for the compressor. No extra charge The compressor has been unlevel for years, and the company I usually use for my annual maintenance/checkup never mentioned or suggested leveling it - and that company also installed it that way. I was very pleased.

All Temp was extremely professional and easy to work with. I was able to call and schedule an appointment on the day of my choice about a week in advance. Lucas arrived on time and was very courteous and professional. Not only did he perform the requested check and add freon to my unit, but he hosed off the unit and replaced the batteries on the control console in my home.

I purchased a air conditioning service and cleaning through a special on Angie's List. All Temp gave me an appointment within 3 days of when I called. They were on time, called before coming over and the technician performed the service quickly. He didn't try to sell me additional services and didn't try to sell me a new air conditioning unit. I was more than happy with them and will call them back this fall to service my furnace.

I was very dissapointed at the amount they charge for the parts. The capacitor cost only $8 at grainger store close to my house. They charged me around $200 for an $8 part. What a rip off. Heads up to everyone!! They exremely over charge for parts and I will not use their service again.

They did a find job there. The reason I am going somewhere else is because we?ve had a lot of issues with getting our a/c to cool our 3rd floor. They?ve come out several times and it will work for a few days and then stop. This summer they have basically given up and are telling me I need a new system. I am very unsatisfied with their service.

We scheduled a service call for Thursday 6/24, then ended up having to reschedule due to a funeral. The guy we spoke to on the phone was great about managing the change we needed and booked us again for Friday 6/25. When the technician (Frank) arrived on that date, we found that the system had iced up and he was unable to service the A/C in that condition. He offered to come back later in the day if he was able to finish his other service calls & re-scheduled us on the spot for first thing the next day in case he was unable to make it. The technician called us later that same day, but we weren't able to accomodate his return, so we just took the Saturday reschedule. The same technician came back on Saturday and took care of adding freon to the A/C as well as doing a general cleaning / servicing of the A/C. The technician was polite, quick & unintrusive to our family routine. I was very pleased with the level of customer service provided by All Temp, especially since I found the company via a search on Angie's List.

Everything was great. The 2 service representatives did above and beyond what I expected. I am recommending them to all my Real Estate clients.
