All Temp Heating & Air Conditioning

They actually service my furnace and air conditioner all the time. They also did the installation of my furnace and the air conditioning. They are excellent. It's a package together for furnace and air conditioning. They are reliable and they show up on time. They do excellent work and they are very neat. The service people are very friendly and very neat in their appearance. I've had heating, air conditioning guys come in here and they just looked like they've got off a coal bin or something like that. All-Temp guys are neat and clean, they leave the place the same way. They are really very thorough. Their price is competitive.

I bought one of the coupons from the big deal and hired the AC guys. It was just a minute work and it wasn't much of interaction with them. I think they were great from start to finish. I didn't really purchase anything but overall it was a good experience. They were good. I had no issues with them, they are good guys.

Our air conditioner hasn't been serviced for anything in many years... we saw the Angie's List deal for $55 and jumped on it! The workers were very polite and understanding of our situation... they took their time and got it done right... they spent a lot of time working on it! We are very appreciative!

Horrible. I have been waiting 10 days for a part they said would take 5-7 days to arrive. Just called today to see what the status was and they said I cancelled my order. The woman who answered the phone said' "my parts manager is going to call you." Guess what? No call. I am a landlord and have customers (tenants). Wasting time like this for me is wasting money. They have lost a long time customer in me. Do not patronize them!

I called and schedule my "Big Deal" with All Temp Heating & Air Conditioning Inc. for 7/7/2011. Someone from All Temp Heating & Air Conditioning called to confirm the appointment and to see if we wanted to reschedule for a few days earlier. It worked out that we could have someone at the property a few days earlier. They showed up on time and provided the scheduled service which was to inspect, clean and add up to 2 lbs of refrigerant. We were very happy with the service provided.

Our central A/C broke down and based on the reviews on Angie's List and the service sticker on our existing system (from the previous owners), we decided to call All Temp for an estimate. Of the 3 companies that provided us an estimate, Mike Clark from All Temp was the most thorough. Like the other companies, he explained that it did not make sense to install a higher-efficiency system since it would not work with our existing system/space. However, MIke actually performed a load estimate so that he could quote us the right size unit, as opposed to the other companies who just assumed it based on the square footage (which was an incorrect method due to the fact that we are a duplex-down condo with only 2 sides of exposure and an english garden basement). He even offered to credit us the price we paid for an Angie's List Big Deal for A/C inspection by All Temp since we were just going to replace the whole system anyway. The workers who installed our unit were very professional and were happy to answer any questions I had, especially since I was a first-time homeowner. I also appreciated that they wore booties whenever they were inside our home. Everything was done in the time slot allotted. When I followed up with Beverly at the All Temp office about the credit I discussed with Mike Clark, it was processed immediately. Overall, it was a very good experience.

Don came on time and was professional and courteous. He thoroughly cleaned both air conditioners . My husband enjoyed talking with him as well. Their office staff is wonderful to to deal with, excellent customer service! I will definitely use them again.

Very responsive and first of 3 contractors to reply/get to property. After assessing the situation, the rep determined that the fan motor was shot and needed to be replaced. He went on to say that despite the install of the new motor that the problem could be more extensive but was the first good step to troubleshoot. Once installed the motor could not be returned and estimated cost of motor was $400 - $500...$585 was quote w/ installation. He had to call to get the specific motor to our type of unit and was going to get back to us. Stuck me as an expensive alternative with little certainty about outcome so we decided to get a second opinion. American Home Heating and Air sent out a rep same day...$90 service charge. Within 15 min of looking at the unit he found that the fan was being jammed by a dead chipmunk lodged in the A/C unit. Chipmunk removed. Motor was fine and A/C is working great again. Get a second opinion is the bottom line.

My experience with them was great; they did a very good job. They were thorough and seemed very trustworthy. They were very informative and spent quite a bit of time with me explaining my options. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

AC unit has leaked coolant in the past, usually lasting one to two seasons. Called on Thursday before Monday (7/20/11) appointment, and Repairman called before coming to house, as promised. Leak was detected and recommendations discussed on repair of 30 year old system. Likely will replace AC and Furnace. Repairman will contact salesman to discuss new installation. In the meantime, coolant was added and AC now working. Took advantage of coupon company setup with Angie's List and probably saved $100.

After a complaint on angies list and a call to The Bryant Company, All Temp eventually repaired our air conditioner on July 8th. The dissappointment was in how the service calls were handled. We waited for a service person to make an 8am appointment only to have him show at 4pm. We were told a serviceman would arrive on two dates to have no one show. A phone call would have been appreciated. We have a warranty with Al Temp and will need for them to continue our yearly service checks. I am hoping that someone reads this report and that improvement will be made in not only communication but timeliness of service.

They did a good job. No issues. Scheduling was fine.

I am a Discount Club member of All-Temp, for $155 per year. They call me in the spring and fall every year to schedule checkups on my furnace and air conditioner. They always come when they say they will. If they are running early, they call to see if they can come earlier, which I appreciate. Their techs are polite and professional, and always explain everything to me in an understandable way. I never feel like they're trying to take advantage of me. Most recently, they replaced a part in my A/C unit that they said should add 5 or more years to its life. I do recommend All-Temp to others when they ask if I know a heating/cooling company.

I wasn't here when they did the work; but the sales guy who was here, he was very honest and knowledgeable. The reason I went with this company was their price, and they seemed to know what they were talking about. They were here on time.

Serviced AC unit for $55 per the Angie's List coupon. Prompt and friendly service. Also got quote for intalling AC return from upstairs bedrooms to furnace in basement. Price quote was reasonable and Mike was punctual, friendly and did not try a hard-sell. I will get that work done later this summer.

I first talked to Rob Mehrholz about diagnosing an old Lennox HVAC system that wasn't cooling properly under high load. He was very cordial and set up a time for one of his crew to come out and inspect the unit. The technician arrived at the agreed time and patiently explained the mechanical nuances of the free inspection. During the course of inspection, the technician found the coolant level was low and recharged the HVAC system for no charge. Amazing. My parents were very happy with the service, neatness, and professionalism of the technician. Robbie and his crew have all of our future HVAC business, absolutely perfect. Thanks Rob.

I took advantage of an angie's list coupon for a 55 dollar AC tune up. A great price and a good job was performed but the tech did track in some mud from outside onto the runner of my stairs. The mud came off so no harm no foul but my previous experience has been with trade wind where they use shoe covers when coming in the house. Would probably use this company again based on price. I'd just keep a closer eye on their tech.

On June 24 we had a scheduled safety inspection of our home by Peoples Gas. The technician decided that our hot water heater was not vented properly. Without evidence he informed us there was a birds nest or obstruction in the flue. He disconnected the gas and told us we should hire a chimney company to come in and clear the obstruction. Instead I called All Temp and they were able to get someone out to us in just a couple of hours. The All Temp service person investigated and was convinced there was no obstruction. He demonstrated for us the way that a flame went up the flue pipe, to show it was a strong current. There was no sign of obstruction. He did a thorough check and cleaning of the burner and pilot of our hot water heater. He used compressed nitrogen to blow out all the dust and he vacuumed and reassembled the mechanism. The added cost was $40 for using nitrogen. I don't exactly understand why nitrogen is superior for this purpose or why it costs so much. The last person to clean it used an air compressor for which there was no extra charge. However, it did improve the performance of the heater and he also saved us the expense of having the chimney work done, which would have been totally unnecessary.

I purchased through Angie's List the "Big Deal" from All-Temp to come inspect and service my A/C before cooling season kicked in. They came out, as scheduled. The tech was very nice, but young. He told me that my condenser was 14 years old (with a projected life of 15 years), that there were things about its performance that concerned him, but he put in a bunch of freon, fixed some wires, and told me that I ought to keep an eye on it, as he was not sure that his efforts would suffice to keep it working for long. (Remember: it wasn't broken when I called All-Temp; this was just the spring "tune up.") Sure enough, a couple of weeks later, it got hot, and we turned the A/C on, and it didn't cool. Based on what the tech had told me, I figured, well, he was right after all, and rather than pump more money into a 14 year old unit with one year of projected usable life left, I would get some quotes to replace it. All-Temp was one of the quotes I got, and, to be frank, it was pretty good. (It was thousands less than Four Seasons.) The problem is this: in the process of getting quotes, I stumbled across someone who wasn't so quick to sell me a new unit. He checked it thoroughly, and it turned out the unit wasn't 14 years old, it was only ten. Maybe you think that's not a big difference, but it's a 40% difference, and if you are looking at something that can be expected to last 15 years, but is only ten years old, one would be much more inclined to repair it, rather than replace it. My issue is that either he knew it wasn't 14 years old and misled me, or he didn't know how old it was, but rather than tell me that he didn't know, he just made up a number. In addition, I learned that the reason it wasn't cooling is that he over-charged it with freon, I mean REALLY over-charged it. The new guy had to drain everything from the lines, check for leaks, and then refill it with the proper amount of freon. He took his time, came back three times, but got it right. All-Temp got it wrong the first time, and never figured out that it had erred. The sales guy, who was nice, and prompt, said he had never heard of a situation like the one I encountered, and assured me that he would report it to the service manager. I never heard back from them again, however, after I told them I would not be buying a new unit from them. I realize that All-Temp gets good grades across the board, but, for me, it was a bit of a horror show. It appears that their tech messed up my unit during a routine service visit, gave me incorrect info about its age, and then never really acknowledged their error.

Steve did an excellent job in servicing our two Space Pak AC units! I chose this company because of the great reviews, and best prices in the area, and am so glad that I did. Steve called ahead to let me know when he was coming. From the moment he arrived, he was professional, friendly, efficient and informative. I am a new homeowner, and he was genuinely interested in educating me on my AC units and their maintenance. I would definitely recommend this company!

They were fine. We had a coupon from Angie's List so it cost about $55.00. They were thorough and honest. They weren't here that long because they were doing a general service. We got the service for a good deal because we had the coupon.

Our All Temps Technician, spent a very long time with us, checking every part of our system, calling his supervisor and checking with other experts to help him make the correct diagnosis. He is clearly very experienced and we appreciated that instead of throwing up his hands, he used every resource in order to really fix the problem, rather than slapping on a bandaid and leaving us to keep calling them back out to help. A smart, knowledgeable, polite, thorough worker - and a credit to All Temps. We will definitely use them again and have already recommended them to our neighbors

When I contacted them for service it was after hours and I was told they could not honor the coupon at that time because the problem had to be diagnosed first. The technician arrived within ninety minutes of contacting them. His inspection took about twenty minutes then he told me a part on the unit that connects the coil was not functioning so the unit was not turning on as a result. The part was $100 and his labor and after-hours service fee was $170. My a/c is working like a charm now! He said it was smart to purchase the big deal because my unit was very dirty and cleaning it will make it run even smoother. I'm scheduling that work this week.
