All Temp Heating & Air Conditioning

I priced out several HVAC providers and All Temp was the best priced, but also was able to quickly install my new HVAC system. They were polite, curtious and punctual and did a fabulous job. I would definitely recommend them to other customers.

I called All Temp on 11/11 regarding a furnace issue. They could have come out that day but due to scheduling issues at my end, a Saturday appointment between 10:00 and 2:00 (on 11/12) was scheduled. The service rep arrived within the appointed time, diagnosed the issue, and corrected it in a timely manner. All the individuals were polite and knowledgeable. Communications were very good. I would recommend All Temp and will use them again, when necessary.

I wanted to replace my 25+ years old AC and heating system, and upgrade to a higher efficieny system (16 SEER for the AC, 95% efficiency for heating). All Temp was not the lowest nor highest quote, but I am completely confident that I went with the right company by selecting them. 1) For one, of the several companies I received quotes from, only the fellow from All Temp recognized, in an instant, that my AC unit was an older Bryant unit (All Temp's brand); the other vendors didn't have a clue. This was already an indication that they install quality products since the old AC unit has served me well during the 11 years that I have lived in this house. It was more than 25 years old. This made me think that I wanted a company that would be around for awhile, especially in the tough economic situation we are all going through. 2) I received a full disclosure of what I was buying, in my opinion, their warranty is the best you can find, it doesn't have any hidden or obscure exclusions, they simply stand by the quality of what they install. 3) Punctual delivery and installment. Once we agreed on an installment date they provided a very professional service, they took exceptional care to clean up after themselves, to the extent of wearing 'booties' over their shoes when they had to transit in and out of the house so as not to dirty the floor. 4) All the vendors I contacted mentioned that replacing your heating and AC was not only a matter of installing a new unit (like buying a new fridge or oven an simply plugging it in) but also involved the work of connecting to your existing duct work and other stuff. It's true. All Temp builds the necessary duct work and all other connections on site. Every house is different and they took the care to think it out before hand. It seemed to me that they took pride in the installation; who else puts a sticker on your new unit with an installation date, service contact info, etc. AND the names of of the people who actually did the work? 5) Energy efficiency rebates of around 10% between ComEd and the government. They also honored a coupon for Angie's List members. 6) I've experienced the new heating system for a couple of weeks now, it has been flawless from the get-go and, come summer they also told me to let them know immediately if I was not satisfied with the AC performance, if needed, they would come out again and fine-tune it at no cost. 7) A neighbor of mine strongly suggested that I look into All Temp when I mentioned that I was in the market for replacing my AC and heating units. They did the installation on his house around 8-10 years ago. The reviews on Angie's list confirmed what he told me.

Based on the reviews on Angie's list, I called the company for an estimate to replace an old wall furnace. I was informed that they no longer install wall furnaces, but the representative was very nice and professional. He actually even provided me with the names of two other companies (competitors) that do wall furnaces, so I will look into those companies. It was nice that they took the time to do that, since it saves me additional search time, and is much appreciated. If I ever need service again, I would definitely call them first.

I have had All Temp work on my AC and heating for the 4 buildings I own for the last year. I switched to them after another company on Angies List suggested that I replace my 8 year old AC unit for $3500. Miguel from ALL TEMP came out and diagnosed the problem right away - a loose wire. Due to this I have had Miguel become my go to tech and he has always exceeded my expectations on diagnoses and repair work. All personnel are polite and very responsive to my needs - taking care of any problems that may arise immediately. To me, to find someone that is trustworthy and cost effective in this industry is rare and these guys are the ones.Repair

My boiler started humming and the heat wasn't working when i called All Temp they sent Ramon. He called me and he told me he would be their in 15 minutes and he was. When he inspected the boiler he located the problem immediately it was the motor on the pump. After about 25 minutes it was fixed and he also cleaned out my pilot assembly. I have a old boiler and was pleased that he was able to solve the problem and not just try to sell me a new one.

They did a good job. They gave me an Angie's List discount. They were on-time and very professional. They called me and the tenants before the appointment. I would use them again the future.

We were told that our furnace is in good working order as of now. We were told what to look for if something is going wrong with the furnace.

As usual, the technician (Jonathan this time) was polite and friendly. Arrived on time and left the entire furnace area cleaner than when he arrived. I recommend All Temp to everyone I know.

The service was outstanding and I will use All Temp again and also would recommend them to others.

I had some issues with the technician but I have since had multiple phone calls with the owner of the company and he has been more than responsive to my issues. I would not hesitate to hire this company again especially for their customer service.

Impressive, great experience. I mean, not as nice as a vacation, but wonderful in terms of having a company do their job well. Pricing was more than fair. I will recommend All Temp to anyone who asks. I guess I just did.

The service call went well. I had All Temp come to clean and inspect the whole house forced air AC system prior to the summer 2011 cooling season. I purchased the service using an Angie's List big deal. The deal was "$55 for a Central A/C Inspection, Cleaning, Tune-up, and up to 2 Pounds Refrigerant!" I called and made an appointment (easy & fast). The company sent out a service person within 3 days. The service went well. The the service person inspected the A/C unit inside and the compressor unit outside. He cleaned the outside unit (of leaves, debris, and washed it with the hose). Since the unit was already working, I did not expect any big problems. The service person said the AC was working good and did not need any extra refrigerant (a little surprising to both of us because the system is 19 years old). He did point out that the air filter was very dirty. He did not have one in his truck that was the right size, so I purchased one the next day and put it in. There were no extra charges so the total cost was $55. The AC worked good all 2011 summer long (and it was a very hot summer).

I had a new system installed last spring by All Temp and has works flawlessly until this week. I woke up to a chilly morning Monday and found the furnace not working. I had the morning off and was anxious to get a technician to my house before I needed to leave for work. My system is under warranty but had doubts that All Temp could get someone to my home so quickly. To my suprise they had a technician at my front door within 2 hours. Armando quickly determined the problem to be a short in the thermostat wire behind the wall. The remedy took about 1/2 hour to run a new thermsotat wire and get my heat running again. The wire technically wasn't a part covered by the Bryant warranty, but he still performed the work at no charge. Nice job All Temp!!

Overall it was a an excellent experience and I will use All Temp again.

I heard something unusual and the technician came out the next day to check it out. They’re very easy to work with. I’m happy with their services.

I can not say enough good things about EDDIE and All-Temp. It was a text book case of outstanding customer service; he exceeded my expectations by a mile. I thought I was going to have to pay for all the hours that he was on the job site; or at least most of them. But he saw the situation from my perspective before I had the chance to mention it to him. He was candid and understanding. He said 'I (he) wouldn't want to pay someone for the hours he spent trying to do a two person job all by himself". What a fantastic experience. EDDIE did an amazing job and will gladly call All-Temp for all my heating and cooling needs in future. Thanks to EDDIE, they earned it.

I've been using All-Temp on Montrose for years. They handle my Spring and Fall HVAC services each year in every house I've ever owned. Their trucks are always well stocked and they don't have to leave for the hardware store to get parts or filters. They always come within the quoted window of time and can adjust their time to fit my schedule. Their technicians are always knowledgeable and don't waste time on the phone calling the home office asking for help. But, one service call was really important. My basement ceiling started leaking and it looked like it was coming from the duct work. All-Temp came out immediately and at night, traced the leak back to the water heater which it turns out was shot. They immediately replaced the water heater but then noticed a gas leak with one of their meters. They capped the leak and called the gas company and discovered that the leak was bad and we had to evacuate. The leak was from a washer and dryer, having nothing to do with the services being rendered by All-Temp. The leak was eventually sealed. So, not only did the guys from All-Temp come out on the fly to replace my water heater, they discovered and capped a leak which could've caused a real safety and health problem for my family and my house. I've been in the service business for 15 years. All-Temp gives great service, no question.

The guy was on time, informative, and friendly. Our AC was not working so the parts were replaced and he recommended that we get our AC checked annually so we do not run into this issue again. Overall, a great experience. I'll be using them again next year.

I called All-Temp Chicagoland a few weeks ago when the temperatures got down into the 40's at night. Our baby woke up in the middle of the night freezing & my wife was beside herself when the furnace wouldn't start. My furnace is well over 15 yrs old , so I was pretty sure I was looking at a complete replacement or big dollars for the repair. Anyway, we called All-Temp super early in the morning & they were able to get someone out to our house right away! The service man was so nice & he was able to figure it out and fix the problem on the spot. I wanted to call the owner to let him know how professional he was, but I thought that this review would be even better. I've tried other heating & air companies in the past, but All-Temp was by far the best overall experience we have ever had. Thank you All-Temp!

I called All Temp for an estimte on a new furnace and air conditioner. The salesman came to my house, assessed my old units, showed me several new models, and then made a recommendation based on the size and layout of my house. Two servicemen then came to my house approximately one week later. They removed the old units and installed the new units over the course of several hours. The servicemen were on time and very professional. They cleaned up everything once they were done and explained how to operate the new thermostat on the wall. Overall, I would highly recommend All Temp.

UPDATE: After posting our initial review we were contact by Mike Clark and offered an apology for the lengthy delays between quotes and issues and he offered to come out and personally take a look and offer new estimates. He came by within two days and provided a quote for 2 different efficiency level boilers and water heaters. We discussed and accepted one of the quotes. The work was scheduled for October 17th and once the work was scheduled things could not have gone smoother. The installers were on time and provided updates regularly. The work was completed before the date scheduled and everything works beautifully. If the service we got in the end was what we had received initially the end grade would be an Abut given how hard it was to get to the end result I can only give them an overall C+. Initial Review:Initially someone came out to our house and gave us an estimate on a new boiler and water heater. It was in our price range and had the features we wanted, so after comparing a few other quotes we set a date (late July) for an installer to come out and do the work. The installer said that due to city code that we could not have the boiler we were initially quoted that it had to be higher efficiency. He thought it might be possible to get one that day and still have the work done but it would be roughly 3000 more dollars. Even though everyone seemed professional this had the very unpleasant air of being a ?bait and switch? situation. We attempted to contact the person who gave us the estimate but were unable to do so. In the end we sent the installer away with no work done. Shortly thereafter (Aug 6) we received an email from the person who gave the estimate apologizing and stating there we new city codes at play he was not aware of. We had 3 options and that he would come out and provide a new estimate. On Aug 22 he came back out and basically said we had 1 option which would now also entail moving all the piping which of course could be done at another additional cost. We said we would like the estimate and then we waited. On Sep 22 we got an estimate with little detail which appeared to not include our Angie?s List discount and it was double our original quote. We were now heading into the time of year where we would not want the heat off for any extended period and were running out of time to make a decision. Every request we made seemed to take a week or two weeks to get a response to. We requested a breakdown of the quote and that took another week to see what all the costs were. Despite the quote not appearing to have the discount apparently it did. We were assured that the work could be done by October 16 and that it would take only a day. At this point we were very discouraged and unhappy with the way things had transpired. It was 3 months later and we were at double the price and no other quotes to really compare it to because we put our faith in All Temp. When we told them we were not going to have the work done we were offered one more discount but decided that we were no longer sure how good the work would be, nor did we trust that it would be done in the time frame allotted and since nothing else happened in a timely fashion it seemed likely that if we did agree to move forward that we would be without heat and hot water for more than just a day. We obviously should have not let this drag on so long but we tried to give them the benefit of the doubt at each step and still they did not come through. A bad experience for sure!

I had a leaking air conditioner. I called up the company and they were out the next day. They were fast, efficient and inexpensive. I would use them again.
