All Temp Heating & Air Conditioning

Furnace 'clicking' on and off, not heating upstairs properly. Called All Temp in morning, Eddie, service technician, arrived at 1 PM. Listened to the issue I was experiencing with furnace unit, understood issue, spent 45 minutes inspecting/checking and looking over system, identified problem (clogged tube), cleaned out tube, checked system again for proper functioning, answered all questions I had and made sure I understood the whole process. I truly believe that someone else might have misdiagnosed the problem and ordered part(s) that were unnecessary. Eddie made sure he tested each and every part of the furnace which might be causing the problem and took his time before hastily making a diagnosis. I know his thoroughness saved money/time/frustration and ultimately a satisfied customer! I will definitely use All Temp again and ask for Eddie!

All temp responded to me request to have a service tech out to my rental property to check on the furnace which wasn't working right. Te technician called before coming, came inside of the estimated work window, and finished the work (replaciing the blower motor) after diagnosing the problem. Even had to run off to get the right motor, as the unit was fairly old and parts were not immediately available in his van. He came back quickly, had the right part and finished off the work. Even vacuumed up his work area when finished and left the unit in good shape.

Did We just purchased a property that has been vacant for over a year and needed the furnace serviced. We found All Temp on Angie's List (of course) and called shortly after 8am to inquire about getting someone to come out and perform a routine cleaning and safety check service and to replace a condensation pump that I believed was not working because some water appeared to be backing up inside the unit causing a little rust spot. They were able to get me an appointment window of 10am - 2pm the SAME DAY. Better yet, unlike the phone company, I would not have to wait around all day because the technician would call me 30 minutes before arrival. The technician, Josh, called ahead of time and arrived promptly at 10am. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional, from the manner in which he answered our questions to the care he took in our home. He was also prepared and had a condensation pump in his truck due to my request to replace our non-functioning unit. As he serviced the furnace, Josh discovered the water in the furnace was coming from a small punch-hole that was missing a plug, which he replaced. He also tested our condensation pump, which was functioning properly. The water heater discharge line installation and modifications to our PVC furnace vent were extra services that we asked for while he was there. He provided us with estimates for the services every step of the way, so we were never left feeling as if we didn't know how much something would cost. To complete the services, he needed to leave to go for parts. He provided us with a good estimate of how long it would take for him to get the needed parts (they do not charge for "shopping" like some do) and called us when he was on his way back to our home. This gave us time to run a couple quick errands. All in all, the service was outstanding. Josh is a top notch technician who obviously has a good deal of experience and a high degree of professionalism. We ended up purchasing the "discount comfort club" membership which includes the furnace cleaning/checkup and an a/c check/tuneup in the spring. It also includes other benefits listed on their website, but the best part was that we do not have to remember to get our a/c serviced in the spring, they will call us to schedule. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Overall, their service was very good. They cleaned up after themselves. The work turned out well.

I will recommend them to a family member and friends, as well as I will use them again in the future.

All Temp came to check our furnaces. The technician was very professional and courteous. However, our furnace stopped working the next day. All Temp sent someone out the same day. The second technician was excellent and fixed the problem.I am happy with the service.

We needed an updated AC/Furnace system and we went with All Temp. All seemed good from our estimate to a good installer. The reason why they won't be getting an "A" rating from me is because I'm still waiting for the "warranty certificate" to come in the mail within 6 weeks. It's almost 4 months later and I had called to follow up and I got an "ooops, it was never entered in the system". Ok. I can deal with that but I have to call yet again to double check their work and I can't get an answer as to weather it was submitted or not. Really? Really? Why do I have to keep following up on something so simple? Customer Service is lacking these days & I was hoping this company would prove me wrong.

I got a coupon from Angies List for $79. The service was fine and he knew what he was doing. He was pleasant and did what they said they were going to do. I think the deal was about $79 from the discount of $150.

I was really impressed and pleased with them. They were great. When their fix turned out to be short term they came back for the second time very promptly with an apology and it turned out to be a bigger problem. They did not charge me for their second service call and gave me the Angie's List discount. It was very reasonable. They were quiet and efficient. I will definitely use them again in the future. I spent $350 between the two service calls.

I was pleased with all the contact I had with All Temp in making the appointment as well as their being able to tell me what time the tech would be arriving when I called the morning of the appointment. The technician called to tell me he was on his way, which I also really appreciate. He was very professional and wore shoe covers to walk on the carpet. I couldn't believe how clean the furnace looked after he was done. He explained all the components he checked and let us know what condition the unit was in and showed us how to properly seat the filters as it's an odd configuration. I was very pleased with my experience with All Temp and feel very confident in their professionalism and expertise.

Was pleased that they were open early and when I called they answered in a few rings with an automated system. I spoke to a pleasant woman who I told what I was looking for and she put me on hold and transferred me to another to another person. I informed the gentlemen of what I was looking for and he informed me that it would cost $89 for the service call. When I had asked that I thought estimates were free as stated on their website, he stated that was only for new furnace installs. When I responded with "thank you for you help," he just slammed the phone down and hung up. No "thank you for calling", no "goodbye" and/or did he even know I was done talking. Maybe have your coffee before you start answering the phones - unprofessional.

My furnace just recently began acting funny, so instead of repair me and my wife decided that maybe we would buy a new energy efficient one. Do to location of furnace could not purchase without extensive remodeling anything above 80% AFUE. So I called Sears for an estimate on repair, Sears never arrived and later I got a call an hour after slotted time from a gentleman quting overthe phone listing prices and seemingly convincing me to cancel my appointment. So I called All Temp , Fransico arrived and his knowledge of HVAC seemed endless, after3 estimate to by a new one i never new what I had was what I was to buy,. He fixed my issues and explained how to maintain my system with ease ... all we needed was a cleaning go figure.

My furnace stopped heating sometime yesterday, 12/13/2011, but I didn't realize it until after 4:00p.m. Being unhappy with my usual repair service I found All Temp here on Angie's List. Robert arrived about 6:30 and went right to work. The furnace code said the problem was code 6. Robert explained what it meant and proceeded to work on correcting it. He did say it was an unusual thing to go wrong and tried numerous ways of correcting it. Finally he removed the circuit board and showed me a few brown "burn" spots that may have had something to do with the problem. Deciding to try a new circuit board he promised to return the next morning with one. The next morning, Robert returned as promised. He quickly replaced the board and I had heat! He pointed out a few things the prior company had done that could have been done in a better manner and with my OK, he went about correcting them at no additional charge. I am very satisfied with the technician and his work.

The installation was done in a professional manner by two workers with great attitudes. I will definitely be using All Temp in the future.

They don't promote buying products from them and they are not pushy. I asked if I needed to replace and they said no. They could have easily said yes because it is about ten years old. They are very honest. They don't push their products. You can rely on them to give you an honest feedback where in you are not investing in something that you don't need to.

The morning of the service, I had an unexpected scheduling conflict. The folks All Temp Heating and Air Conditioning worked with me to reschedule so that I had a later appointment on the same day. The repairman, Zach, called a half hour before coming, as requested. He was cordial and professional from the time he arrived until the time he left. Unlike previous boiler repair people, he also took the time to tell me that I could lengthen the life of the boiler and to explain how. I HIGHLY recommend All Temp (of Chicago) because of the great job Zach did.

I called All Temp and they were able to schedule a Saturday appointment for me. The service technician Miguel arrived within the agreed upon time frame. I showed him to the furnace and he got right to work. He had all the equipment with him that he needed (vacuum, brush, tools, etc.). He opened up the furnace and gave it a very good cleaning. I told him that the furnace had been rattling and vibrating and making a lot of noise. He took the time to remove the blower fan and examine it. He told me that the blower motor was a little loose in its housing which may be contributing to the problem. He also tightened up some screws in the frame when he reinstalled the blower fan. The end result is a much quieter furnace. The rattling has stopped. I then asked him if he could check the humidifier evaporator pad. I had been unable to remove the pad from its housing. He showed me how to remove the pad. The pad was very dirty and needed to be replaced. He asked me if I would like him to replace it. He quoted me a price and said my 15% Angie's List discount would apply. He had the pad with him in his truck. It cost more than if I had gone out and bought it myself, but it was worth it for the convenience of having him do it then and there. He also took the time to explain to me how to set the humidity levels on the humidistat. Overall, Miguel did a great job. He came prepared to do the job with all the necessary parts and tools. He knew what he was doing and he did it quickly. He was friendly and willing to answer my questions and explain things.

The technician called and rescheduled for an earlier than quoted time, which was nice. First there was a problem with the gas relay then the mother board, a couple trips back and forth for parts and it was fixed. a few hours later. The technician was clean, curtious and professional. Since the problem with the furnace was a little more complicated than average and the technician ran into a few unexpected problems the owner of the company called me a couple days later and made sure I was completely satisfied with the job. This is a company that cares about its reputation and the quality of their work!

For the air conditioner, the technician thought we had too small of a AC unit for the size of our top floor unit; he is probably correct. What stands out about this technician, however, is that after he left us, he called back with an idea about changing our air filter. Because our AC unit is so small, he thought that the blower didn't have enough power to push the air through the higher quality filter we were using. He recommended switching to the cheaper fiberglass one. He was correct! Instead of replacing our unit, we instead by the cheaper filters, and our AC works just fine now (although a bigger unit would be better). I am so glad he called back. For the water heater, our old unit broke down over the weekend. AllTemp sent someone out on Sunday, and he tried his hardest to fix it, but it needed a part that they would have to order. He got it working enough to heat one shower, which was nice. On Monday, I called in to price the cost of the part, and also got a quote on a newer unit. Given that ours was an older unit, we just went ahead with the replacement, which they did on Tuesday. They gave us numerous discounts (including a credit for the technician over the weekend). All-in-all, very pleased with them, and will definitely use them again.

On Wednesday evening just before thanksgiving our water heater stopped working. They immediately sent a service tech to our home. We were able to re-set it that evening but over the next week had sporadic hot water. All temp initially replaced the ignition coil, as we'd had the starter replaced 2 years earlier. It turned out to be the starter. They contact the manufacturer to ensure it would be covered under the warranty. All temp technicians were at our home daily to manually start our water heater until the repair today. Today's tech noticed a possible design flaw with our unit. He found installation in his truck and hopefully fixed another potential future issue. Alltemps's customer service and professionalism is un-ending. They all have gone out of their way to make sure we had hot water daily I highly recommend using them! Thank you to everyone at All Temp

I placed a service call around 12:00pm and they had a technician, Miguel, come to my house at around 3:00pm. He quickly diagnosed the problem, suggested that it would likely be solved by replacing the humidifier pad and he did so. He proceeded to clean out the system and conduct routine maintenance. Very fast and professional work and I would use them again.

I first emailed All Temp back in July to try and find a solution to how loud our furnace was. Mike was quick to email back and told me that because my blower was directly behind the air return vent that the only way to fix it would be to install a new return box under the furnace. This would move the blower up and reduce a lot of the noise. After saving some money we decided that instead of having the box installed and keeping the old furnace (it was 12 years old) we would go ahead and get a new two stage furnace with the new furnace box. Installation was scheduled a week after Mike stopped by to access the area. The furnace is in a closet in our condo so the work was going to be tight. He walked me through everything and a week later he had Matthew and a younger guy learning the trade come out and do the work. These guys not only worked their butts off but were also very friendly and knowledgeable. It took them about 5.5 hours to get the old one out and the new one in and they worked right through lunch. The new furnace is some much better than the old one and so much quieter is hard to compare. Use All Temp when it is time to replace your furnace and hope you get Matthew to come out and do the work because these guys are great.

Ramon diagnosed a bad thermocoupler and showed me what he was doing each step of the way. He had the new part on his truck and installed it. He showed me the new part after installed and made some other adjustments to improve the works of my boier.

Our furnace stopped working, so we called All Temp on Montrose, which is near our house. They offered to come right away, but it wasn't that cold so we asked for an appointment a couple days later. Miguel, the service technician, showed up right when they said he would and quickly diagnosed the problem. There was water in our pressure switch tubing, which he simply cleared out. I wasn't home at the time, but Miguel took the time to explain everything in detail to my wife, including how to keep the problem from happening again so she could explain it to me when I got home. Miguel also pointed out a crack in our collector box and warned us that it could allow carbon monoxide to escape the furnace, and suggested 3 options: Fix it for $200-300. Replace the whole furnace soon since it's getting near the end of its expected life (it's 18 years old). Or at the very least, get a CO detector down there so we don't wake up dead some morning. He also asked when was the last time we replaced our humidifier filter. My wife said, "what's that?" so he pulled it out and said, "looks like it hasn't been replaced in several years." (True, we've lived here 6 years and I didn't even know there was a humidifier filter.) Then he put a new one in for free. All he charged us for was the service call, minus the Angie's List Discount. Came to $80. Thanks, Miguel. We'll definitely give All Temp a shot at our business when we replace the unit come spring. (Assuming the cracked collector box doesn't kill us in our sleep one night before that.)

My furnace needed general maintenance and my pilot light did not stay on. I immediately thought of Angie's lists. IT WORKS!! I felt confident i would get a job well done all along. Thank you Angie
