After calling in the morning, the company said that someone would be out between 12 and 5. When nobody showed up, I called back, and Zack came out at around 6:30. That'd normally lead to a less than stellar review, but he performed the service while walking me through the whole process. It turned out it was a blown compressor which will not be a cheap fix, but at least I know what the problem was, and why it happened. He was absolutely courteous and professional the entire time, and while the timing wasn't the best, that can't be helped sometimes. If you're going to have to have a costly repair, it's good to feel like you're an important part of the process.

They were very professional, courteous, and efficient. They had everything done in one day.

All Temp service guys are punctual, professional, and helpful. They perform a thorough inspection and cleaning of the unit. In the few instances when something has gone wrong, they were timely in coming by to fix the furnace. In one instance, the furnace stopped working after their repairs. They came back the same day and made some minor adjustments that remedied the situation. I will continue to use their services.

They are exceedingly knowledgeable, they were able to get everything done in a short amount of time, and it was for a reasonable price. The work was excellent.

I called to repair a steam pipe that was leaking and while there to check two furnaces and the boiler. they charged 179 for the check and wanted $125 per hour to work on the pipe and estimated 4 hour minimum. I called another company who performed the work for about 1/3. I would not call them again.

I would recommend them. I would use them next year even without the Big Deal coupon.

Overall a great experience. These guys are real pros. Very efficient & professional. They did a great job really fast. We're very happy with the price, with the service, and especially with how cozy our home is now -- even in the formerly chilly upstairs.

They cleaned up after themselves. They have reasonable prices and are very responsive. They did good quality of work for me.

I called All Temp at 9 AM and was told that they would be here before 2. Serviceman was here at noon. He replaced board and thermostat and cleaned my burner. He found the short that was causing my problem in my air conditioner and was out of here at 4. I am thoroughly satisfied with the result. I would definitely use All Temp again, and I would hope I got the same serviceman. He was great.

I am frustrated that the weekend service provider is more interested in having you wait until Monday than solving the problem. I will no longer use this company.

I could not get the pilot light to stay on. This was about 5 pm on a Friday evening. I called All Temp and told them I had found them on Angie's list and was new to the house. Linda said she would have the technician call and set up a time. About 5 minutes later Linda called back and said the tech had 2 other calls but could still get me in later that night. I gave her the go ahead. About 30 minutes later the tech called to give me a time update. He did that after he finished each job so I would know when to expect him. He arrived about midnight and got right to work. He explained what he thought the problem was, gave me a quote and then did the job when I agreed to the price. When he was finished he explained several things about the furnace and gave me pointers on what to look out for. I will continue to use this company for my yearly service. Josh, the tech did great work and I was pleased he took the time to explain the working of the furnace to me.

I got a call from the office early in the morning (we were scheduled for service between 1-5) and they said they had a cancelation and could they come by earlier. The technician was there within 20 minutes of that call and went right to work. it turned out that all we needed was some cleaning of the sensors and the ducts. We have lived in our place for a year, but I doubt the previous owner ever did any maintenance. The technician was really thorough, explained everything to me and answered all my questions. He also stayed long enough to make sure everything was working properly and was considerate enough to ask if there was a baby sleeping in the nursery before he vacuumed everything out. And now we're warm and toasty again.

This was an emergency service. The emergency service fee was about what I paid for similar service in the past but the part was about double the retail cost and 6X higher than I could have purchased it online.

My tenant's heater stopped working. It would only turn on about every 4 hours for about 15 minutes and would only get their place up to 55 degrees. So I did a little research and ended up calling All Temp Heating & Air Conditioning. They came out, and drained the condensing furnace and everything was good. Then about 2 weeks later, the same thing happened. I called them on a Sunday and they sent someone out in about an hour. The guy took it one step further and cleaned the drainage system and explained to me that this should work for the rest of the winter but unfortunately the furnace was reaching the end of it's life (about 15 years old), and that i could either spend a lot of money to have the whole furnace taken apart and cleaned, or just buy a new one in the near future (which he recommended). No pressure, just the facts. And they didn't charge anything this second time out which I was very happy about since they just wanted to make sure things were done right. I think they will be my go-to guys for any heating/hvac problems that come up in the future.

Corky just left my home. Very polite, through, and I HAVE HEAT! He explained the blinking lights to me, cleaned the sensors, replaced the humidifier filter and reminded me to take the heat off of the 90 degree setting before I forgot. He even explained how filters can be SO GOOD that they restrict air flow. So when I run out of these, I'm going to follow his advice and purchase different filters. He covered his feet with booties without asking (HUGE for service people). Went right to work. Had EVERYTHING on that truck and was quite friendly. Considering I had called this morning, and it happens to be one of the coldest days of the year with a storm coming, to have a tech arrive in a couple of hours was AWESOME! Corky was great, explained everything he was doing and was a pleasure to chat with! Thanks ALL TEMP!

I woke up to 68 degrees and the thermostat continued falling - fast. Knowing that others in my building have used Alltemp and another company I looked up both on Angie's List. I liked what Alltemp was telling me better so called. I called at 9:20, I was told that the repairman would be here probably just after noon. At 10:50 my doorbell rang and there was Miguel from Alltemp.He was personable, very fast and thorough, clear in his explanation of what was happening, Buddy (my dog) loved him, and now I'm back to 71 degrees ... and it's 12:30.

I woke up Saturday morning and my heat had gone out. After spending most of the day procrastinating about having to call for service on a weekend, I used Angie's List and found All Temp H&C (around 2 pm). The answering service was polite and told me the next step would be to get a call from the scheduling office but that they could confirm that a technician would be at my home same day. I was nervous about the price since the service call was a "weekend call", but in retrospect, there is no price too high to get the heat on in January. The technician was at my door within 2 hours of my call. The problem with my heater was a simple fix. The technician was polite and efficient.

After visits from 4 other HVAC companies, the All Temp technician quickly assessed the issue, recommended a solution and solved the problem. Everyone from the front office, to the service manager, to the on-site technician was very professional and made the process of repairing our radiant heating system very easy. Other firms had visited and performed one or two tasks, saying they'd return to properly fix the problem. Even after immediately paying these other firm's expensive service charges, they would not follow-up to complete the work. Nobody seemed confident in their ability to address the problem. All Temp was the only firm that seemed to clearly identify the problem, and quickly followed-up to fully complete the work.

The technician was prompt, professional and friendly. The problem came up when it was time to pay. When I had called to make the appointment I spoke with Carlos who quoted me $69.95 for a furnace check. I was surprised at the low price and repeated it to him to which he confirmed that $69.95 would include cleaning and servicing my furnace not just the cost for the service call. Carlos also confirmed that my Angie's List coupon would be an additional discount. However, once the work was done the technician told me that the price was $89.95 plus the discount. He called Carlos who then called me who then continued to tell me that the price was $89.95 and that with my coupon it would be less but that he could not charge $69.95. I asked to speak with the owner. When Bernie came on the line he repeated what Carlos had said and then asked if I wanted to schedule the appointment. Obviously misunderstanding that the work had already been done. Once that was clarified Bernie said ok to the price I was quoted plus the discount. To this company's credit they stood behind what had obviously been misquoted without too much trouble. I will give them another try.

They have great customer service. The technicians are very honest and never try to upsell me. They are very professional and I would definitely recommend them to others.

The two guys that came out were both great service men. One of he parts was old enough that the tools usually used wouldn't loosen a bolt so a second service call had to be arranged. They always explained everything they were doing or did and also were full of helpful tips to keep the unit healthier.

I purchased the Big Deal coupon for $79 to have my boiler cleaned and checked. I called and scheduled an appointment and the rep stated that the next Saturday appt wasnt until two weeks later. I explained to her that I turned the boiler off (the gas was still on) because there was an electrical spark and that in addition to the cleaning I wanted it repaired, of course, at an additional cost. Two weeks past, then they sent out a very nice man to come to my house. He then stated that he couldn't repair anything, he was just there to clean it. It was frustrating because I explained that i wanted repairs done also, so i would have expected them to send someone out who can clean and repair the boiler. He then stated the same thing I said, that the gas valve would need to be replaced (something I already told the company and that the spark board [sp?] needed to be replaced) and that because of the "diagnostic services," there would be a fee for that. So, he calles the company and asks for a quote for the gas valve. He then stated that it would be $450 just for the gas valve and he still wouldnt be able to guarantee that it would work. I declined because this was the 3rd company I had to look at it so i can get quotes from more than one place and this price was way more than any other company. At this point, Im furious because I feel like my $79 went down the drain. The nice guy said to call the company myself and explain to them about the inconvenience and the repairs. So I called the company and as Im explaining to the guy that i expected to pay additional to have the repairs done in addition to the cleaning, he just places me on hold and without my knowledge, transfers me to someone else. I just thought that was very unprofessional because apparently he didnt want to hear about my dilemna anymore. So, I spoke to his supervisor who stated that he would send John out to personally look at it himself. John came out and said that I needed a new boiler at a cost of $5600 (which also was more than the other companies). He explained that I need to get the boiler asap because the pipes will freeze soon (even though the temps were projected to be 47-52 degrees). I told him i would call him back if i decided to get the new boiler, but i never did. Instead, I called the first company that i got a quote from and they were able to thoroughly clean the boiler and have it back up and running. They stated that a boiler can last 20-30yrs and because the boiler was replaced in 1999, it should be good for several more years as long as it is properly maintained. They explained that the previous homeowners probably didnt clean the boiler as often as necessary and that at some point water might have gotten on the boiler due to the rust and the sparks that i saw on the gas valve. I been in this home for a year and i didnt have any problems with it last winter. I am extremely dissatisfied with the professionalism and the courtesy of this company. I would have honestly felt a lot better if they would have just said they would have refunded me my $79 for the purchase of the Big Deal, since apparently it wasnt communicated to them my intent of the repairs and that the boiler was off...but no, instead they stated they would give me $79 off the purchase price of a new boiler!!!.

i've been having problems with a few rooms in my house being too cold. I bought an angie's list coupon for an HVAC servicing. I called up All Temp and they said that because i had my HVAC serviced recently, that i didn't need to use my coupon but that they would come out and try to figure things out.The came and made some great suggestions that basically cost me nothing and they didn't charge me for a consult!Awesome!

Peter, from the Wauconda office, was very professional. Thankfully, he was familiar with the particular unit in our home (apparently, it is "state of the art" but not very common). He made a reasonable suggestion regarding adding a humidifier component, and gave me literature to look over. I am very pleased.

First time using All Temp. Technician, Eddie, was fantastic. He serviced 2 furnace units, explained each step of the process, answered every question I had, gave suggestions for better heat efficiency, and suggested solutions to a potential issue pertaining to one of the furnaces. Will definitely use All Temp again!
