Great job - easy to work with

Everything went very smoothly, from the time that Jeff came out to give me an estimate, to giving them my paint colors, to when the painters arrived and started work. They arrived on time each day, cleaned up after themselves and were respectful of the property. I was very pleased with the work they did and would definately use them again in the future.

We had significant weather and sun damage to the eaves and soffits of our home. We called Jeff at Accurate and he came out quickly to give us a very competitive estimate. He walked us through all the steps of the job abd suggested additional work that might need to be done by a carpenter. He and his crew came out to begin the initial work shortly thereafter and helped us to assess the areas where fascia would need to be replaced. Jeff was very helpful and quite patient as we got the carpentry work completed. Our carpenter was NOT as timely as Jeff, but Jeff made sure we had a spot in his schedule once the work was done. His work is thorough and professionally done. Once he finished, clean-up was complete. Other than the beautiful paint job, you'd never know he had been there!

I was delighted to get the level of service, which I wanted going into the project since so many times that doesn't happen. Jeff came out to estimate the project. I thought that the price was reasonable and asked him to do the work. It was scheduled for about 2 weeks after we accepted the proposal. They came out one day to do preparation work and then a few days later to do the actual painting. We did have an issue with the original color. It didn't look as dark on the wall as what we wanted. Jeff was great about working with us to get the color right.. I appreciated that he always communicated with me about when the various pieces of work would be done.

We gathered four proposals to have the soffits, fascia, and trim painted on our home. While Accurate Painters price was competitive, there were other factors we took into consideration. Jeff's attention to detail on his proposal was second to none--that attention carried over on the painting of our home. He and the crew were meticulous in the prep, the painting, and the cleanup. Jeff's accessibility was another factor. He almost always took my call immediately and if not, his response time in returning voice mail was within hours. As we waited for the weather to cooperate he sent weekly updates on possible scheduling. We were never left wondering. His work ethic is stellar and that trickled down to his crew who were always on time, never late. As an added bonus, he and the crew are very pleasant to deal with and respectful of privacy as much as one can be while climbing around your house for several days. This was a seamless project from start to finish. Accurate Painters are now my 'go to' painter for any future projects. Highly recommended.

I’m very pleased with the work that Jeff and his crew did for us. Jeff was great with communicating with us and was very responsive to any questions or concerns that I may have had. The crew was also very polite and considerate. They were very flexible and had no problems taking my son’s nap schedule into consideration when scheduling and executing the different phases of the job. They were also good with covering and protecting any furniture that could not be moved, and with cleaning up daily. Having an end-of-the-day daily “walk thru” where Jeff would ask if things were to my satisfaction was very refreshing. I will definitely hire them again.

Accurate Painters did a terrific job. Jeff did a through job preparing the estimate including testing the paint for lead. Other contractors that estimated the job did not perform the test nor suggest it may be necessary. The work was completed on time and they did a nice job on the cleanup. We really appreciated the opportunity to complete a "walk thru" at the end of the job to identify any areas that required a touchup. We are so happy with their work that we've asked Accurate Painters for an estimate on painting the cabinents in our kitchen.

We have a very old yet charming garage that a carpenter friend convinced me to save and repair. This entailed bolstering the structure, replacing rotten boards, and for the purpose of this review, scraping two layers of old paint and repainting. All went quite well. The experience with Jeff and his painting crew was extremely professional. The communication was timely and informative; the bid was fair; and the work was executed with care and great attention to detail. In sum, our garage looks fantastic and I recommend Accurate Painters without reservation!

Accurate Painting (AP) just completed a painting job for our Evanston condominium association and did a terrific job. The building painted was mostly a garage, however it is also part of one of the condominium buildings, and it includes a garage, entry doors, wood, masonry and brick. AP's Jeff Burris came out and assessed the job. He provided a very detailed proposal, which told us exactly what AP would do. Their price was competitive or better than the other bids we obtained. Jeff also provided a book of possible colors and also directed us to a web site that contained the same information so that all of the board members could review options at their convenience. Scheduling the job was easy and our preferences were respected. The preparation and painting was done very well and quickly, with AP paying a lot of attention to details. AP was neat and left the site clean. We would recommend Accurate Painting to all Angie's List members and will use them again if we need painting services in the future.

Jeff contacted me within 24 hours of me emailing him, got an estimate within 48 and started the job 3 days later. The crew cleaned up beautifully and did a great job. We will definitely use them in the future.

Ron was the guy I dealt with. I was happy with the bidding process. The crew came in on time and consisted of Ron, Jeff, Adam, Matt, and Mike. They were all very nice, neat, friendly, and professional. Everyone did a great job. The estimate process was very informative, and the work was top quality. The job took about 4 days. There was one day they couldn't work because of the rain. I would highly recommend them.

I had a water damaged wall which needed to be replastered, the windows needed new wood and then all needed to be painted. While working with a carpenter, he suggested Jeff for the final phase of the job, the painting. Jeff came out timely provided a great estimate and coordinated his work with the plasterer and carpenter. He did a wonderful job matching the paint to the rest of the living room. I plan to hire Jeff again!

We are very pleased with the work Jeff and his crew did. Jeff is very friendly and very much a professional. When we first called him he came out within two days to give us a quote which was detailed and broken down by room. From the beginning Jeff was great about communicating with us- emailing the quote and calling to set up a time that would work for both of us. He kept us abreast of the progress of the job. Jeff was patient with our indecisiveness about color and offered his expert opinion concerning color selection. He definitely has an eye for color and is detail oriented. When it came time for the work to be done, everything went according to plan. Our job took two and ½ days which included half a day of minor patching and repairs. Jeff and his crew were efficient and finished the job in a very timely matter. They arrived at the time they committed to, cleaned up daily and did a great job on the work itself. They were careful with our furniture making sure what could not be moved from the room was protected and covered. We are very happy and will definitely use Accurate Painters again.

i doubt i've had a more pleasant experience with a contractor. jeff always answered the phone, kept in touch also by e-mail, and scheduled the work promptly and efficiently. the work itself was done professionaly and to my satisfaction. an added bonus is that his estimate was near the low end of several that i got for this job.

Jeff was very punctual, and patient in explaining everything. Thoroughness of initial estimate could be improved, as the price jumped ~$350 from initial quote, but it is understandable. Since I wasn't around during execution of the job, I couldn't tell if number of hours worked matched the fixed bid, but that is just part of the deal. After it all, given the amount of rust that he noticed dripping from water leaking off the porch, he offered to come back and seal everything up with silicon for free. Awful nice of him. It is difficult to compare price, as I was under the gun and didn't have time to get competitor quotes, but even then things would probably not be easily compared, so I am only able to mark what I thought the service was worth. Given the services rendered, and price per hour for some of the items in the quote, I believe "Fair" is the appropriate mark for this job. In all, excellent job, and priced exactly fairly for the quality of work. Given this is an external job, I will probably come back after the winter and report how well it holds up.

initially, i was going to just have the exterior paint-repairs done. but my tenants decided to move immediately upon learning i was planning to sell the building. after they left i found out why they "bolted" the way they did! from completely broken out windows to covered up holes the walls, The floors were completely destroyed, they left nothing undamaged after 23 yeras of living here. Jeff and i were both gasping as each new step in their paining-repair seemed to uncover new damage from these mopes. I have no complaints-don'ts. Jeff Burris came out to give me an estimate and we stared work right away. throughout the process they were working step by step to complete the separate tasks as needed, ie, applying multiple coats of finishes where needed, giving sufficient time for various products to dry or cure before applying finish coats. the entire apartment needed to be done so it took about a month total but was well worth it. of course as new problems came up, he contacted me with a choice of solutions, giving addional estimates for the newly added work, and billing them one at a time as much of it was "add on".

Jeff was great - very professional, easy to get in touch with by phone or email, and did the work well. "Accurate" painters indeed - straight lines, no mess, ended up exactly the way we asked for it. There was a section of floor near the stairs that we failed to clearly communicate that we wanted done as well, and he came back and did it a few days later at no extra charge.

Jeff is really good at bidding the job. He broke it down to the smallest detail and has considered carefully the time it takes to do every part of the job. He was responsive and on time. His painters were polite and considerate to my other tenants. Jeff, unlike many of the other contractors I have used is really flexible in terms of schedule and was really communicative. He understood what I needed and made it happen. I'll use accurate for all my painting needs. These guys are really great. You won't be dissapointed in the job they do for you.

They came and gave me an estimate months earlier, and then came back to do the job once I was redy top get it done. i was particularly concerned about paint chips getting into soil and garden and cleanup and they did a good job sweeping and put down plenty of tarps. Colors were matched welll. They put on nice thick coats of paint and finished very promptly.

We needed our rooms painted because the previous owners left holes in the walls and stains all over the place. There was also a lot of bubbles in our walls and ceilings. They fixed the holes and mended the bubbles and cracks. They did a great job. My husband was home with my son while they were painting and they took my son's napping schedule into consideration when doing the rooms, which we really appreciated. They arrived when they said they would and worked longer than I thought they would be there. Jeff made suggestions to us about things we should do, smooth walls and ceilings and color choices which were very helpful. My husband and I are definitely not skilled painters so it was nice to have someone who was very knowledgeable about what he was doing.

Our basement floor was in terrible shape. I had painted it with an oil based paint and it began chipping almost immediately. Jeff did research on the best paint for a concrete floor that occasionally has water seepage and came up with a product that is holding up perfectly. They went to great lengths in prepping the floor. It turned out great. I highly recommend them!

From start to finish, Accurate Painters were timely, professional and very fair in their pricing. They consulted on our color choice/aesthetics and did an excellent job with the work itself. They came in on time and right on budget. I couldn't ask for a better, stress-free contractor in this category.

We had just completed a rehab of our kitchen and home office and needed a contractor for the finishing touches. Having used Accurate Painters the year previous for some external work, I knew we could trust them. We were also up against time as we were due to entertain in our home w/in a few weeks. True to form, Accurate Painters came in with a good quote and were able to squeeze us in w/in a week's time. They finished the work quickly and very, very well - paying attention to the little details. They even consulted on different ways to paint some tricky soffits - and their suggestions were right on. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again. Top notch.

Accurate Painters did a very good job - precisely what they said they were going to do in the quote. They are honest and conscientious. Though ours is not a large home, I understand that they frequently take on much larger projects which is why we had to wait for a few weeks to get the work done. And, with the paints we used they guarantee their work. There were recently a couple of spots were the paint peeled off on some window trim - almost certainly because of trapped moisture, which is hard to consider their fault - yet they came by within a few days of my call to rectify the problem. That impressed me.

I was in a bit of a time crunch as I was moving in and I was looking for a painter that used products and practices that were non-toxic and sustainable. Jeff was timely and professional when he gave the estimate. He gave me a range of ?green? product options and suggested some ?low ?waste? and ?no-waste? methods. I was impressed with his knowledge of the products available. He was very flexible with scheduling and fit me in earlier than I expected. He was able to address my specific needs regarding coating textured wallpaper and ceiling tiles. His small crew was very efficient. I was so happy with the work I hired them to paint my the walls in my business. This was a difficult job requiring make an even line on the walls throughout. The finished product was precise and I have received many compliments from my customers.
