The work involved multiple delays, with an original estimate of three weeks, from start to finish. In actuality, the work began during the first week of June 2011, and extended to the end of August. We called in fall 2011 to request a return to repair errors in the installation of the doors and correction to the cracks in the grout. The owner/operator told us that he would call to set up a time; but we did not hear from him again. After illness and holidays passed, we called again in January and he return on February 6, 2012, to inspect the needed repairs. He claimed that he would return at another date to actually complete the repairs. He did not call again. We called again in May 2012. He said that he would call to set up a time to visit to complete the repairs. He never called. We called again on June 12, when the cracked grout from the upstairs shower stall that he installed led to the leaking of water into our first floor bathroom, damaging the ceiling. He did not respond to four other phone messages. He did not respond to an email sent on June 17. In summary, the doors were not hung properly, so that they have to be pushed firmly to close entirely. The installed window trim was not flush to the wall and had to be repaired. The grout in the bathroom is cracked in several spots. He installed the shower faucet incorrectly, and we paid a plumber to correct the error. The varnished floors have drip marks. The caulking around the outside of one window was so uneven and unsightly that we had to pay a professional painter to correct the problem.
