They were great, courteous, and flexible. They had to work with my contractor, so there was a lot of coordinating to do.

I called them to find to find out if they serviced the south side of Chicago. They told me that it depended on the work. I explained to the what I was wanting and they told me that it sounded like it was less than $1000 and therefore they wouldn't come out. After I questioned them about it, they wanted to take my information and call me back and I told them "no thank you".

My principle concern was that I was getting moisture in through the brickwork. Of the various companies that I received estimates from, Scott was the only one who both took the time to show me the problems he was seeing with my brickwork but to also take the time to clearly explain how these problems were contributing to the water damage I was experiencing. This was all in stark contrast to the four other companies I interviewed who did none of these things and at times whose proposals often didn t make sense but rather had a generic quality to them. So my first Kudos goes to Scott. My second Kudos goes to the crew. They worked like troopers. They arrived on time, showed great respect for my property and did a through cleaning of their work areas before leaving. Scott followed up in person both during the job and after to check on the work and to make sure that I was happy with the way things were going.

John came out twice to discuss the work and went up of the roof with me. He scheduled the work very soon after the contract was signed. The crew did a great job in keeping the area clean. It was a 3 day job that included a dumpster. It went very well.

They were very professional and had great communication. The owner was just great. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I did use a 10% discount for being an Angie's List member. My only complaint is that they do not accept credit cards.

No Work Performed... never showed up to give the estimate...

I had a great experience. Their estimator was incredibly thorough and spent almost an hour with me discussing my house's problems and walking around with me to look at them. Then he spent another hour on his own getting exact measurements and determining what needed to be done. Plus he was by my house, on his own, the next day, for more analysis (I had several problem areas). I was very impressed with his effort, which I felt was well above average. The written estimate was equally as thorough. From my conversation with the employee, I found him very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. Though I did not chose AAA Masonry, I would certainly recommend them highly to anyone who needs masonry work (I had roof problems as well).

Scott, the contractor came out and described to me EXACTLY what would be done and he was EXTREMELY pleasant to deal with. When the crew showed up (and on time) they got to work immediately. Once they were set up to do their work, Scott returned to the house to go over once more with the crew and myself exactly what was to be done. The crew worked all day and the quality of their work is phenomenal. The old chimney was torn down and the new one was up in a matter of hours,and after tuck pointing the whole house THEY CLEANED UP EVERYTHING! I would like to reiterate that they cleaned up after themselves. After the job was complete, I received a phone call from Scott, AND a few days after the job he came back to the house to inspect his crew's work. The job required a little extra work that was not on the estimate, however before they did that, Scott contacted be for approval. I would not hesitate to use AAA again and would highly recommend their work to anyone.

Robert Reese provided a comprehensive estimate but was open to completing work based on budget constraints. Once scheduled, the crew showed up on time, professionally completed the work, and cleaned up the work area. On more than one occasion, Robert reviewed components of the estimate and processes behind the work. Customer service was fast when minor damage to a screen required repair.

I was very pleased with this experience. After waiting approximately a month from the time I contacted AAA until the time when the work was completed, the workers showed up (scheduled a week prior by John) en masse on a Saturday morning. The whole project was completed in a day and I was even able to decide on the fly that my limestone window sills needed to be replaced. AAA had the limestone at my house in an hour and completed by the end of the day. They left the property clean and swept and we're very professional all around.

Mr. Reese kept the scheduled appointment for the estimate and provided an honest assessment of what needed to be done and the cost. I was able to schedule an appointment for the service within one week. He arrived promptly and used caution protecting the floor and furniture in the work area. The quality of work far exceeded my expectation! Mr. Reese was very personable, competent and considerate. I'm in awe of this level of service. I would definitely use and recommend AAA-1 for masonry and tuckpointing.

They have down phenomenal work, very clean and very professional. They are very prompt and also come in with fair bids on the work that needs to be done. I can't say enough about these guys.

We plan to have them out come spring time to do the work. Have been absolutely attentive and responsive to us. Very polite, thorough and informative in what they will be doing.

They were very good, quick, and efficient and they cleaned up after themselves. It was a painless process.

All project work was completed in a relatively quick time frame. Mr. Reese patiently walked me through his proposal, answering all the questions that I (unfamiliar with trade terminology) had. They did their job without wrecking any landscaping or leaving a mess.

I called the office and requested an estimate. I gave all my information and was told that someone would call me back. No one did. I was surprised, based on the many glowing reviews on the list. I was even more surprised when Robert called me 5 weeks later, as if I had just called the day before. We did arrange to meet at the building, but he canceled and rescheduled for the following week. Once I did meet with Robert, I found him to be knowledgeable and personable and was looking forward to working w/him. I am also self-employed and understand that not everyone is perfect and mistakes happen, so I took the time to share my ''constructive criticism,'' of my experience to date. He promised to rectify this and stated that he would get back to me with a faxed estimate, but I never received one. Based on other reviews, it seems like they are either really great or really bad, ''on,'' or ''off.'' Unfortunately, my experience was lackluster in the cust. serv. dept., which is disappointing.

Robert responded to the initial call within three hours and gave an estimate over the phone. He indicated that they would remove A/C and place it in the alley. We went with another company that was a bit less expensive and that offered to dispose of the A/C by having a scrap metal dealer pick it up.

Despite a shaky start due to scheduling, they did a fantastic job. I contacted the company in early Oct. hoping the work would be done before winter because other work had to wait for the masonry to be completed before they could begin. Bad weather made scheduling difficult but Scott managed to fit me in for the last week in December when the weather warmed up. Not only did they do a superb job but they were very cooperative and worked well with the other tradesmen who were working on my house at the same time. The foundation looks terrific. They were very professional and I'd use them again.

Person who answered phone was pleasant, but I never heard back from company. Explained I had leak in my home, and thought that may have given message some priority, but obviously not. I was very surprised given the high rating on Angie's List.

It was a pleasure working with them. Calls were returned quickly, he let me know on Wednesday that tuckpointing would probably begin on Saturday morning, which it did. Crew was fine and neat. The only thing they didn't clean up well was door jams and some parts of sidewalk.

Excellent work. Everything looks beautiful. Estimate was comprehensive; there was a significant problem we were unaware of until he inspected for the quote.

We had a wonderful experience with AAA-1. Robert Reese came out and performed a thorough inspection of our property. AAA-1 was more professional and better priced than the other masons we received estimates from. They performed the work in the estimated time frame and returned all calls/questions we had during the process. They gave me all the necessary paperwork that I needed so I could go and secure the city permits myself and save on cost. I would definitely use them again for any masonry needs. This was worth the cost of my membership to Angie's List.

They were able to work without me being there.
