The compressor was under warranty, so we called the manufacturer. They let me know I needed to purchase a compressor, and they would refund me for the part, with me paying for labor. It didn't work initially, and he charged me another $80 to come out. He has to retain the tag so we can submit it to the manufacturer. He is giving us the run around about getting the tag, and that the company shouldn't require it, etc.
Description of Work: I hired them to fix a freezer. They replaced compressor.

CUSTOMER HIRED ME TO REPLACE COMPRESSOR. COMPRESSOR WAS REPLACED. WHATEVER HAPPENED BETWEEN HIM AND HIS WARRANTY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH US. WE REPAIR ONLY AND DO NOT KNOW PROCEDURE FOR HIS PARTICULAR WARRANTY. IF THERE WAS SOME PARTICULAR PROCEDURE HE NEEDED TO KNOW ABOUT FROM HIS WARRANTY, I WOULD THINK HE SHOULD BLAME HIMSELF. WE ARE NOT THERE TO TALK TO HIS WARRANTY PEOPLE. NOR WERE WE MADE AWARE UNTIL AFTER IT WAS TOO LATE. WE DID, IN ALL FAIRNESS TAKE OUR OWN TIME TO TALK TO HIS WARRANTY PEOPLE,AND TRY AND RESOLVE IT BUT, BECAUSE OF THE CUSTOMER'S LACK OF TIMELY COMMUNICATION HE WAS REFUSED HIS REFUND. I'M SORRY ABOUT THAT BUT, NOT BEING AWARE OF HIS PROBLEM TILL MONTHS LATER AFTER THE FACT MADE IT UNLIKELY THAT WE COULD RESOLVE IT FOR HIM. AND WE WEREN'T HIRED FOR THAT,BUT WE WERE HIRED TO INSTALL A COMPRESSOR AND THAT WE DID MOST EXPERTLY. I AM DISAPPOINTED THAT THIS CUSTOMER IS UNHAPPY AS WE TRULY STRIVE FOR CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.
