They were very professional and returned all calls promptly. They even showed up early! They brought all cleaning supplies!

Used them to clean my condo a few months back. They did a great job, was on time and the price was very reasonable. Will use them again for deep cleaning.

Prior to moving into our new home we were looking for a service that would deep clean the home prior. Included in the deep clean was clean up from the refinishing of hardwood floors that happened prior to our move in. We contacted A-1 Polish and after reviewing price and reviews on Angie's List we decided to go with them. They were the cheapest by far which should have been a clue, but their reviews were excellent. We informed them about both the deep clean and the necessary clean up from the hardwood floors (Refinishing will leave a thin layer of saw dust through out the home that will require all surfaces to be wiped down.) A1-Polish informed us that they would send someone out and that it would take approximately 8 hours for one person to do the cleaning. We scheduled the cleaning for the day prior to our move in, which gave our floors the most time to cure after being refinished. That morning we received a call from A1-Polish that the person who was suppose to clean the house was sick and that they had no one to replace her. This is understandable but with our move in scheduled for the next day we needed someone from A1-Polish to perform the deep clean, that we contracted them to do. The alternative that A1-Polish provided was to have two individuals stop by after 12PM and do the deep clean. They called me at 4:00 and said it would take another hour than quoted so were charging us for an extra hour (although they also said one of the ladies couldn't get there until 12:30 so it was not actually a full additional hour). At 4:30 PM I went to do the inspection and the ladies were done and standing in the living room waiting for me. On the surface everything looked great, so we paid for the service and began our move in. The first sign of things to come was when we went to put some stuff in a built out closet system in a room. The closet is floor to ceiling, taking up about a 1/3 of the room. It is impossible to miss, but when we slid the doors open there was a layer of sawdust on each and every shelf. We immediately called A1-Polish and they worked with our schedule to have someone come out and wipe down the closet. At that point we should started to look around the entire house to see what else was never cleaned, but we did not. A couple of days later as we got further and further into unpacking we started to notice that closet shelves, window sills, light fixtures, and the pantry were never even touched. Once we knew the extent of the issue we called A1-Polish back to report what we had discovered. Initially, we spoke with Kasia on 05/01/13 and discussed the possibility of scheduling a cleaning to make up for the poor service provided with the deep cleaning. Kasia was suppose to call us back instead Grace, the owner of A1-Polish, left a message that afternoon requesting that we call her back. The next day we called Grace back, left a voice mail and have yet to hear back from anyone associated with A1-Polish. The deep clean service that we paid A1-Polish for was not even performed to a standard of what would be expected of a standard cleaning. The ability of A1-Polish to make what was wrong, right was not up to the standard that we are use to when hiring companies from Angie's List. We cannot and will not ever recommend this company to any of our friends or families and hopefully this review will make potential clients think secondly about contracting with A1-Polish.

I called Grace a while back to help us deal with the dust and such from our home addition construction. She was flexible and understanding when we had to reschedule due to delays and things that came up in the process. When we finally were able to commit to a date, she sent someone the day after we called. We plan to set up a regular schedule of cleaning because of our how well our first experience went.

My cleaning lady was sick and unable to come. They were able to accomodate me on short notice. They sent two ladies and they were in the house for about 2 hours. I showed them where the supplies were and they took it from there. They didn't have a problem that my dog was in the house while they cleaned. They did a good job, including cleaning the fridge and oven. I would definitely use them again if my cleaning lady can't come.

We had been gone for 6 weeks. My family was to arrive 4 days later. I was overwhelmed. I called A-1 and they were able to send someone on really short notice. The person arrived right on time. If was more used to having a cleaning lady, I would have probably had more tasks for her to do. I was cleaning other rooms at the same time. She was finished before the 4 hours were up. The agency gave me a discount because she left early. Yes, I was pleased and will use them again.

Grace is awesome to deal with. Returns calls promptly and listens to all of my requests -- and I am PICKY!! We have used A1 twice and the second time was even better than the first, as Grace made sure to tell the ladies all the things I would like changed for the next cleaning. I know that the third cleaning and more will each be better than the last.

I've never had to supervise. I give them a tour of my condominium, show them where the supplies and cleaning appliances are and then let them do their thing. It usually takes about four hours. I prefer to get out of their way and let them work.

A-1 Continues to do a great job. Very flexible when I've had some time problems. I will recommend them to any friend looking for good reliable cleaning!

All the cleaning help that have been to my house have done an excellent job. They are cheerful and willing to listen to my suggestions. They always start on time and finish within the time alloted. I would highly recommend this cleaning service

The only regret I have about this service is that I didn't get the name of the woman who so beautifully cleaned my home. I live in a small apartment, but I seemed to have given up on cleaning recently. So, my home needed some tender loving care. The young woman arrived on time, wearing a smile and a positive attitude. Despite the heavy-duty cleaning my place required, she did a thorough job. She left everything smelling wonderfully, and she cleaned with vigor. Yes, I would recommend this company to friends and family, and I will make this luxury a regular part of my life.

Grace responded quickly and professionally. She assessed what would be required, told me the cost up front and sent me very capable help. I would definitely use A1 Polish Services in the future if I need a cleaning service.

I called Grace in a panic after injuring my knee. She sent out 2 women the very next day. The women were cheerful, prompt, and excellent at their jobs. The house was cleaned in just over 4 hours. They listened to my special requests for certain areas and did as I asked. I was thankful for the quick response by Grace and the great job the women did for me. I will most certainly use this service again.

I have been using Grace for 5 years. In the beginning I had no problems, she sent me 2 girls who would clean my house in 2 1/2 hours. I was always very flexible with timing, even with my two kids--one was a newborn when they started, the other 3 years old. The girls would clean nicely, some sets of girls are not as good as others, so I would request a certain pair that cleaned my house properly. Grace never had a problem giving me the team I wanted and one team cleaned for me for 3 years. After those girls left the company, I tried other teams, settling on a new team that cleaned my house properly. This is when the problems started. One time I booked them, then Grace called me back only to cancel them to give them to another client. She sent me the team that didn't clean well for me instead. I was patient and ignored it, but only found that this was happening EVERY time. This client, who I understand has now moved out of the city, would always get this team. Grace would always fight me or give me the runaround when I tried to book them. Saying that this other client books them 2xs a month and therefore is more important than me. The last to time those ladies came to my house to clean was because of a cancellation by the other client. And it was on very short notice. I was accomodating and helped out Grace by doing this. A few days ago, I tried to book this team A MONTH in advance and Grace would NOT do it. She said the other teams are good and I should use them. I told her I wasn't satisfied with the other teams (because they failed to clean the rooms in my house--leaving my daughter's room dirty and untouched) and wanted the usual girls that came to my house. I also told her if the other team is so good then send them to the OTHER client, she had no answer. Well, needless to say I was very angry, I called Grace back and said it is not fair after 5 YEARS for her to treat me this way. I told her if she doesn't need my monthly cleaning and $100 I can take my business elsewhere and she can have her client that seems to take preferential treatment over all the rest. And this other client on top of it all ALWAYS cancels, I know because that is the only time Grace would send that team out. I have been very, very patient with Grace, always letting the girls come and clean with little or no notice and being very flexible and friendly. This is just outrageous and something I cannot tolerate, and I need to let others know because it is very frustrating and insulting and not something anyone should have to tolerate. Grace, I hope your other client doesn't keep cancelling, and I hope she is worth loss of business. ****Response to owner's response******* Grace, that team has NOT been around 10 years, they are NEW, just a few months old (your girls never last more than 2 or 3 years for visa issues). That is lie # 1. Lie # 2 I requested this team repeatedly since they started and was only given them when the other person cancelled. You did in fact CANCEL my booking to give them to that other client--that is a fact. I DID in fact ask for them ANYTIME within the month and was denied them. YOU called me multiple times when the other woman cancelled and I graciously TOOK them to clean on the spot multiple times. As for my "4 story house" , the 4th floor bedroom is EMPTY with NOTHING in it to clean. In the city, our houses go up and they are not wide, it is not a large home at all. Lie#4 that client is NEW because you told me she was, and things got WORSE when you started catering to her. Your other teams don't clean well and THAT is why you won't send them to the other client, but send them to ME because I never complained, I just told you that they are not cleaning right and STILL paid them. They literally didn't TOUCH my upstairs bedrooms and I spoke to you about that, and you never thought to refund my money for bad service--but I never complained, I only wanted the team that actually CLEANS. The take home here Grace is that you don't respect your customers. You have mistreated me, are very rude and I have mistakenly tolerated it for 5 years. Others have a right to know this. I will not allow you to lie to them.

Grace was very friendly and the cleanings went well. She even stopped by the house we were moving into in order to give us an accurate quote. The only hiccup was that Grace wanted to switch the scheduled time of our move-in cleaning the day before the cleaning (which we couldn't do because my husband was only taking a 1/2 day off of work), but when we explained this to her we went back to the original time and everything was fine. They did a good job and we will likely use them again in the future.

I have a small senior apartment. I meet with the owner of the company and see gave me a price and we set up a schedule to have someone come out every other week. to clean...It will be the same time and the same person each time..If for some reason someone else is coming they will call in advance and let me know who...My young lady came last Friday and spent about 21/2 to 3 hours. This is the first time I have had someone do this and i was amazed at the superb job she did... They apartment sparkled and smelled so clean... I was very impressed and am glad she will be coming every other week.... I would highly recommend this service. They have great references and are very easy to talk with and they do a wonderful job...

I have a cleaning lady that comes on Tuesdays. I received a call today, and she stated they tried to call me many times, and left voice messages, but I did not receive any. I've been getting the run around about getting her to come out to clean my house.

Excellent service from scheduling to appointment to walk through to service to follow-up. Cleaned our newly purchased home of all living spaces on two floors including dusty hardwoods, very unclean kitchen and two bathrooms. Very good work.

The two ladies who came to clean did a wonderful job, no comments on the quality at all. In my opinion, the job was a bit overpriced as the owner of the company wanted $110 for 2.5 hrs of cleaning. On the phone the owner led me to believe that it would be higher amount for the initial cleaning and that is the only reason I agreed for them to come. However, after the initial cleaning she informed me that the amount would stay the same. The regular rate in the area is $80-85 for a cleaning lady. It is a third party cleaning service though, so I guess, understandably, the owner needs to make profit as well. Like I said, they did a great job, I am just not ready to pay the amount they charge. I was able to find a more reasonable option for the same quality.

They showed up right on time and did a very good job, requiring minimal direction. Everything they did clean was very well done. Toilets, sinks, shower, were very clean without any hair or other dirt visible. They did not, nor did I think to ask, clean the refrigerator or other appliances (washer and around the door of the dishwasher), which really needed to be cleaned out. I had to do that myself later when I discovered they were not cleaned. The price was a little more than I was expecting, based on other reviews, but I did not compare prices with other cleaning services. It may be consistent with others for my size of house. Overall, I was impressed and will be using them for biweekly cleaning. Update: Grace, the manager/dispatcher, has been very easy to work with. We have had about 3 different crews. All did very good work. Previous crews did nice things, such as decoratively placing the pillows on our bed and closing open cabinets, like our TV hutch. The current person cleaning our house biweekly is exceptional and really pays attention to detail. She gets all the corners of the shower and the house is very clean after she is done. Overall, I am very pleased with A1's performance. Update 2 years later (6/18/2014): We have had a few different people over the past couple of years. Not all are as detail oriented as others. However, I continue to be impressed by Grace and her management staff. They call every so often to confirm that the service continues to be good. Also the staff are responsive to suggestions.

I have had them come twice now and the job they do is fabulous, much better than my previous housecleaner. Worth the extra $$ for sure. They came within a couple of days of me calling both times. Grace is a little difficult to understand over the phone. The first time I only had one cleaner, the second time 2. They do an extremely though job, including vacuuming the couch, which is important to me because we have a dog that sheds a ton. I was impressed given that I didn't request the couch be vacuumed. With 2 people my place took 2 hous to clean which I love because I have a newborn.

I was able to set a cleaning appointment for the next day. The woman was prompt, efficient and my fridge and stove have never looked better! (She was able to get that hardened, black residue off a white stove top!) Since we are leaving the home to new renters we want the standard to be very high for cleanliness and I will use this provider again in two years when we either rent again or put the house on the market for sale.

All the work was completed in the designated time. First time customers have to pay cash or credit card. Thereafter, a check is acceptable.

Cleaning person always comes on time and uses our own supplies to clean our townhome from top to bottom.

I've used this company twice now and am very, very pleased with the results. They are very detailed oriented and do a thorough job cleaning the house. I could never achieve these results in the same period of time. I like that they use my cleaning supplies and equipment. The staff are friendly and speak english which is helpful. They are also quite punctual and the company owner is responsive to calls and has always been able to work with my schedule. I plan to continue using this service.
