I had used A-American before to install all my flooring in this unit, and they were fine. I decided to call them to replace the carpeting 5 years later. The service was horrible! They never called me back when they said they would. I had to chase them down every day to see if they had my carpet in stock (they didn't), to see when they would be coming so I could come home to let them in, etc. They finally sent someone out with samples of the carpet they DID have in stock, and I picked one. I went back to these guys in the first place because I knew they had my measurements from the last order so I wouldn't have to be around for them to come measure. Well, they couldn't find them. So I had to come home from work to let them in to measure. (They did wait until the end of the day to come, which was nice). They were supposed to call and tell me when they were coming on the install day. They didn't. I had to call them, and still I got a phone call from the installer saying "we're here!". I had to rush home. As the installers finished, there were tufts of carpet everywhere (scraps from the install). I asked if they were going to vacuum them up. "We don't have vacuums" they said, and left the job to me. Here is the worst. When I balked at the price initially, Sandu, the salesman, told me they had to charge me for removing the old carpet and that the old carpet HAD to be brought back to their dumpster. So I agreed, as I didn't want to have to dispose of it. After the installers left, hours later I went to the alley to take out some trash and there was the old carpet! I was furious. I called Sandu and he said the guys would come pick it up. They didn't. Fortunately my garbage men took it, but they didn't have to. I got lucky. So I paid for a service I didn't get. So, to sum up, I had to chase these guys down, they didn't have record of my original measurements, they charged me for a service they didn't perform, and they didn't do a final cleanup. I'll never use them again.

They were generally rude, and very unprofessional.
