The time to repair took about 1-2 hours. I was happy with the work and the door is working. Luckily our car was not in the garage so we didn't need emergency service to have our cars out. We left a message on Sunday and they were out on Monday around 9:30am. Professional, friendly and quick.

Very responsive and professional. Fixed the door quickly. It has never worked so good. Derek also took the time to explain some of the features of the garage door opener. Very helpful. Would definitely use them again.

Well, I called and spoke with someone at the office and schedule an appointment, but they never sent anyone out to look at my garage door problem.

I called on a Sunday expecting to get voice mail. He answered and said he was out of town, but would come over first thing when he was back the next day to diagnosis and repair. I was pleased that his first approach was to see if it could be repaired. I thought for sure he'd simply recommend replacing it. He repaired it while we were at work, locked the garage up tight, and left his invoice in the mailbox..

Derek helped me out over the phone during the harsh winter when our garage door had trouble operating in the cold, which he helped me determine actually was the result of a failed electrical circuit and not the door. After the thaw, the door started making a lot of creaking noises and being 10 years old was in need of a tune up. Derek was prompt and thorough in his response and diagnostics. He pointed out a part that was failing, and that he needed to get a replacement from his shop, which meant that the job would take an additional day. He set very reasonable expectations, and met them in every way. He was very honest about pricing, and explaining the benefits of the slightly higher charges for his services over his competitors. He convinced me to authorize some preventative maintenance that added to the bill, but would greatly extend the life of the door. He also is extremely friendly and talkative, like a cabbie who likes dishing on his city.

A DIY replace my garage door rollers project went horribly wrong and left me with a broken garage door and trapped my car in the garage. Quick, knowledgeable, and courteous service, well worth the price (not overly expensive) Two man team set up my non-functioning door within 45 minutes. Friendly and professional. Will call for all future needs.

Derek was fantastic! He called me right back after my initial call and kept in communication with me via text, providing updates on when he could come by. When he got there, he provided, in depth, the issues with the garage door and was done with repairs an hour later. He then gave me a few days to make sure the garage door was working as it should and said to mail in a check when I could. I cannon't comment on price as I don't know the going rate for my repairs, but the customer service was top notch. Derek is now my garage door guy!

I called several places and no one could come fix my unresponsive garage door, with both our cars trapped inside. There was structural damage and the opener wouldn't work. AA came right out and got both our cars out, secured the door and returned the next day and completed the work. Great job! My door works great now and the damage is fixed. Also they advised me how to prevent future woes.

We had a very noisy garage door. We called another highly rated company on Angie's List and they took our information and never called us back. AA Chicagoland set up an appointment right away. They were very punctual - showing up when they said they would [calling ahead as well]. I was impressed by how professional they were and how quickly they fixed the problem. Price above is approximate [it was whatever they quoted for their hourly rate - I remember that it was competitive with the other place I called]. I've been meaning to write this review for a while although I did purposely wait a bit to make sure the issue was actually resolved. We've had no issues with our door since AA worked on it - our garage door is very quiet now - we are very happy with the results.

I love this guy. I needed some real repairs on an ancient metal garage door and lifter mechanism - you know, the kind of situation where you are embarassed to call in somebody to fix it because then the repairman might see it. Derek is incredibly responsive, shows up when he says he will, very easy to talk to and negotiate with. He listened, he didn't make me feel stupid or red-faced about my old piece of junk garage and door, and he didn't try to sell me anything I didn't want or could not afford - he DID get the rusty old thing running like butter on hot toast. I had let it go for a while and was parking in the space beside the garage - the door was just too cantankerous, stuck all the time, even popped off the track here and there, really the thing is older than I am. But it was time. He came to look at a time that was great for me, showed up the next day, did everything he said he was going to do, even discouraged me from doing a couple of things he could have charged me more for. I would totally call him with any further issue and refer anyone to him. Thanks Derek, this was a really great repair experience.

We have a converted carport that was not built by this service but it is getting older and has unique maintenance needs. AA was very helpful in determining what was needed to ensure the functionality and lifetime of the garage door was They provided options and educated me but at the end allowed me to make whatever decision chose. Reasonably priced but very friendly, reliable and professional.

They were great. The price I noted is approximate, it was a while ago, but they were competitive for the service and their work was great. They also gave us good advice about maintenance.

Derek couldn't have been any more courteous or easy to work with through the process. He's very professional and made this process incredibly easy. I can't thank Derek and the team at AA enough for the great work.

I called Chicagoland .this morning and by 5:30pm I had a new door closure on the inside of my garage. Derrick called me this pm to say he had a job cancellation and since he was in the area he could come today to install it. He was very prompt and efficient and the job was done in minutes. I am very pleased.

The guy, Derek, was great. He came out to give us a quote on it and he told me everything that was wrong. It was actually the wrong size garage door and it never really worked well. He told us that the entire thing had to be replaced so we replaced it and it works great. It's been a couple years now. He was really courteous and he followed up and got us a quote really quickly. He went through exactly why the old garage door kept going off the railing and eventually the motor stopped working. He showed me that it was the wrong motor and that the actual garage door wasn't the right size for the railing. He did a really good job replacing it and it hasn't given us a minute of trouble in two years. Its been really good. The installation took a lot less time than I thought; a couple hours maybe. I would give them all A's. They were great and I would definitely use them again.

The job went very well. The company was responsive and showed up on time. They quickly removed the old opener and installed the new one. I would use them again.

I called in the morning and Derek said they could probably come by in the afternoon, which they did. They were prompt, efficient, reasonably priced and friendly. We'll see how well the door works over time, but it certainly seems to run smoother and better. They even went over some features of the opener that I wasn't aware of. Working with them was simple and easy, the job took maybe an hour to complete. I'd highly recommend.

On May 8th 2012, I was having problems with my garage door so I went to Angie's list looking for help with the door. I read the reviews on AA Chicagoland and 5 other garage door companies and then I sent each company (starting with AA Chicagoland) an e mail stating what my problem was then asked about scheduling a time to get an estimate for the job. Within the hour, Derek from AA Chicagoland contacted me to discuss the problem. Derek said that he a few jobs scheduled for the morning but he would be able to stop by afterwards to look at my door and we agreed on a tentative time for this day. Even though it was not close to the time that Derek and I agreed on Derek called to let me know how his schedule was going. Derek arrived a short time later, then he did a through inspection on my door, showed me exactly what was happening with the door and explained what it entailed to fix the problem and the cost and warranty. I explained to Derek that I needed to discuss everything with a family member and that I would let him know what we decided to do and as it turned out we decided to wait for a few more weeks before we have the work done. Derek was very through in his diagnosis and explanation of the door problem and acted in a very polite, professional manner and I will definitely call Derek again. P.S. of the 4 other companies that I e-mailed 3 did not respond to my email and the 4th one I telephoned just before Derek initially contacted me. As far as using any of the other 4 companies, I stick with AA Chicagoland, I would not want to bother and of the other companies.
