Preferred Window and Door

It went superbly. The process was smooth from start to finish. All of the Preferred employees were very professional and I truly felt as if they valued my business. The price was slightly more expensive than some other companies I met with, however, when you add in the quality of their windows along with their excellent customer service, it was well worth it and I would do business with them again and again. I highly recommend Preferred Window and Door.

They are very efficient, I love my windows, I would definitely recommend them to others.

Excellent. Three crews came and worked each project simultaneously. Crew members were friendly and very courteous. They all arrived at the same time and were on time per appointment time set. Then, they were in and out in a flash. Everything was completed quickly and some of the highest quality workmanship I've ever seen. The cleanup was excellent. You could not tell someone had just been there doing construction work.

My wife and I had gotten 3 estimates for entry door replacement before calling Preferred. Not only did Preferred beat the other 3 company's estimates by HUNDREDS of dollars, their master carpenter, Chris, also went above and beyond his duty and replaced the aged, worn out trim on the walls surrounding the door! The other 3 companys stated they would not replace the trim around the door and that would require an additional appointment for an estimate. They also had the door installed within a week of my deposit! I am very satisfied with their service and Chris was very pleasant. We definitely will be calling again soon!

Salesman was out quickly after I emailed them thru Angie?s Website. Very professional and didn?t push anything that we didn?t want and easily settled on the 2 doors we wanted. Doors took a while to get ready since they were a special order. However, as soon as they were in we were called and they were installed very quickly and professionally. They were on the higher end of the 4 quotes I got, but I would defiantly say the professionalism and quality make up for this.

They did an excellent job. They were very prompt, removed all the old doors, replaced them with new doors, and cleaned up after themselves. It was a bit pricey, but it's beautiful and well worth the money. I love my doors, and everyone who comes by is so impressed. It looks like a whole new garage.

Had two appointments, One to discuss proposed services followed by the installation date. Both went well. We were advised in advance that difficulties might occur when resetting the security system. Both times the workers arrived on time, or a little early. Since then we did have the security company come out to adjust the connections. The security tech praised the professional installation work and quality of the products supplied by Preferred. The good work included special placement of the peephole site. The door looks great! Provides a super barrier from wind and is sealed very well, keeping out the cold.

He took the measurements and said he would come back with the pieces. It turns out that he didn't have to replace the whole window and fixed just the broken part. I felt very comfortable with the folks from Preferred Window and am greatful that they were able to save me a lot of money on the repair.

The saleman Scott was very responsive to my questions. I even changed my mind a few times about colors and which windows to replace, and he was patient and professional. The crew was prompt and professional. I did not feel uncomfortable having them here. They did a great job and cleaned up after the job was done. I am very happy with the whole experience.

It was so smoothly. Arrived right on time, same day service! Technician was very polite and knowledgeable. Excellent service.

Scheduling was very good. The price was fine and they gave us a quote before the work. The windows are very fine windows! You can stand in front of the windows on the coldest day and not feel a thing! The work was fine but they needed to do some patching on the sill. However, they have not come out to do this yet. The installation took about 5 hours and it was a very cold day for them. UPDATE as of Jan. 25, 2014 They did come out and do the finishing work and they did a superb job. The workmanship was excellent.

Scheduling was just fine. They called back when they said they would and they gave me a time line in terms of when the window would come in, as it had to be special ordered. They were very professional and the salesperson was very polite. It was refreshing to have someone who did their job well. The installation went flawlessly. The person was very skilled and polite. They did a really a good job. I will be calling them to replace another door.

Their service was fine and they did a very nice job. Their doors are very high quality and have lived up to their reputation, although expensive. They are efficient. I had to call a second time because I didn't hear back from them after they ordered the kit. But, they did what they said they would do. The kit they used to replace the screen is not as taught as the original screen, but I have a feeling that’s part of the replacement process.

Their service was wonderful. We have used them many times and they have always done excellent work. They have also done work for our family, who has been pleased as well. We needed some clips on our side light on the front door. I went to them and they gave us the product and the tools to install them. The owner is a very nice gentleman and I would definitely use them again. The glass block windows we installed were custom made and they did a perfect job with them. They turned out exactly as we wanted.

I thought they were a quality team. They had good service. I got the windows from them as well and was pleased with the product. They were on time and their cleanup was excellent. I would consider using this company again. With the garage door installation, there was a slight issue. The color of the trim wasn't what I expected and they were not willing to change it when they saw I was displeased.

My impression of the company was good. They were timely, polite, and professional. We decided not to have the work done at all, so didn’t use their services.

This is the second time in a year that we used Preferred, so obviously we are happy with their work. They put in a new garage door for us earlier this year, and now we had them back to put in a new entry door and storm door. Our salesman, Scott, is excellent and enthusiastically promotes the company. He is professional and courteous, and always bring samples to look at. The doors were installed by Eric, who also was professional and courteous. He did an excellent job and we are very happy with the new look. Thanks for running a great company. We will be happy to refer you to our friends and family!

We received the call that the parts were in, set up the appointment for them to come out and install door and window. It was a single man team. He was very prompt, professional and courteous. He started on the door and did a great job on it. When he got to the bathroom window it didn't go as smoothly for him. It turned out that the previous owners when they had the last window installed from the outside a good portion of it was covered with siding and neither we nor the estimator had even noticed. He called the estimator who came out, looked it over and told him to go ahead and complete the job with no additional fees. The installer let us know that we got lucky, if that had been noticed during the estimate that might have added a couple of hundred more dollars to the total cost. He finished up his job and cleaned up everything nicely afterward. They have been the most professional group of people we have ever worked with. We highly recommend them.

I called Preferred Window and Door after looking at the reviews on Angie's list. The appointment was set for 6/26. I liked that the company had been in business for a longtime and was located in my area. The sales consultant Scott Beilfuss came on the appointed day and listened to my concerns. The windows I wanted replaced have an east and west exposure. Scott showed me the sample windows, options and explained in detail the warranties. He answered all of my questions and did not pressure me for a sale. The office called me to advise my windows were ready and wanted to know what day was convenient for installation. The installers arrived at the appointed time, introduced themselves and were friendly and courteous. The installers explained what they planned to do first. They were mindful of light carpet in the front room and the window blinds in the front room and master bedroom. The installers cleaned up all debris both in the house and outside. I am so pleased with my new windows and I plan on calling on Preferred Window and Door to replace the remaining windows in my house new year.

I never received and estimate or response from this company. I called to follow up and ask for the bid on the windows and doors, and again was told I would have it in several days. I still have not received any response as of today July 23, 2013. If these people, for whatever reason, don't want to bid the job, fine, but be upfront and say so. My experience with this company was aggravating and a waste of time meeting and trying to deal with them. I wasted the better part of a day and a quarter tank of gas driving to the property. The upside to this experience was the salesman's admirable punctuality.

They came out very quickly. The door wouldn't stay down and I was about to leave for a few days and wasn't comfortable leaving my garage door up. They fixed the problem and I haven't had a problem since. They were very good.
