+ -1 moreJeff was extremely friendly and professional, gave an outstanding proposal and left a great deal of information with us. We chose JE after getting 2 other bids, finding JE to be more eager to want our business. Once making our decision, Jeff dropped off a dozen shingle samples, and we were given addresses of houses they had worked on with the 3 colors on our "short list." The crew arrived bright and early in the morning and were completely finished and rolling out of our driveway by 3:30 in the afternoon. Each team member was polite and friendly, and worked very hard to get our roof done. We have since received follow up calls to be sure we are happy with our beautiful new roof. Which we are, as you can see. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND JE Roofing to do YOUR roof!

+ -1 moreWe appreciate the professional and prompt service provided by Jeff Jachim and JE Roofing & Construction. We plan to use JE Roofing & Construction, Inc. to repair and/or replace the roof, too.
Description of Work: We sustained roof damage during the last wind storm, but we didn’t realize how much damage we had until the insurance representative inspected the roof. Since a snow storm was expected within a few hours after the inspection, we needed to place a tarp on the roof immediately. We called JE Roofing & Construction, and spoke to Jeff Jachim, Project Manager. After explaining the damage to Jeff, we asked if a tarp could be placed before the storm arrived later in the afternoon. Since JE Roofing & Construction provides 24-hour emergency tarping, Jeff stated he would immediately leave the office to install a tarp on our roof. Within an hour or two, a tarp was placed on our roof, well ahead of the snow storm. Not only did JE Roofing & Construction install a tarp, but Jeff took pictures of the damage before and after the tarp was placed on the roof. Jeff was also kind enough to remove the storm debris from our roof.

+ -1 moreJohn, the owner, was the first I called. He came out and gave me a packet of information about roofing and shingles. When I had finished reading everything, I was almost an expert. John looked at my roof and suggested that I file an insurance claim, I did and it saved me almost half of my cost of a new roof. I got five estimates for the job - John beat three of them by quite a bit and matched the other one. John got the job because he was so helpful and just an all-around nice guy. From helping me to deal with the insurance company to actually doing the work, everything was done at my convenience, everybody showed up when they were supposed to and everybody was very nice to deal with. The work was started when they said it would be, finished on time, there were no cost overruns or surcharges. They covered the rocks and bushes around the house. They cleaned everything up and the roof looks great! I would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: My roof was in terrible shape and I required a complete tear-off and re-shingle job.

I had requested estimates from 2 other contractors. One contractor was very high. The other contractor did not call me for an appointment until a week later. I decided to use J.E. Roofing, their price was within my budget. They arrived on time and did a great job. They were very professional.

+ -1 moreI had 4 estimates and JE came in a thousand dollars under then any of them. It took the crew two days to complete the work.The estimate was the exact figure they charged when they finished. I choose the 40 year architectural style shingles (the cheapest of the 3 grades they offered). No complaints at all. The roof looks great and it no longer leaks.
Description of Work: Complete tear off of 3 layers of shingles and a new roof and gutters put on the house and garage. A small house with a steep roof.

+ -1 moreI contacted John and within a day he contacted me back and told me when he would send someone out. I told him my schedule constraints and he had someone out early one morining. His employee was extremely professional and pleasant. He worked safely and repaired my shingles well, cleared some overgrown vines from the side of the house and resealed some wire mesh that the squirrels were trying to remove. John and his team are very reliable and trustworthy. There is no other roofing company that I would use. I highly recommend JE Roofing. They are professional, honest and prompt.

The other great thing he did was provide five pages of satisfied customers within my area. Actually, seeing work performed by a company is very important to me. Yes, I did tour my area to see the work performed by the company.I was also given full packet filled with information on the homeowner's guide to reroofing, choosing roofers, shingles selection, copy of roofing license, memberships, and accreditations. Wow! every contractor should be doing this.

+ -1 moreThey were the first one of the coampanies I set up appointments with that came out early. The owner talked me through everything that needed to be done. He was very knowledgeable and professional and walked me through the whole project to make sure I understood it. When he gave an estimate, he did take the longest to give me a written estimate, but it was extremely detailed and thorough and he provided me a very respectable price that was half of some of the other companies I looked at.
Description of Work: I’m signing a contract with them for a whole roof replacement and fascia replacement.

Description of Work: I was well pleased with this company's prompt response to my request for an inspection and estimate. After acceptance of their bid they arrived on the date and at the time promised. They removed the shingles around the chimney to expose the damaged roof sheathing caused by water seepage and discovered that the damage to the sheathing was more extensive than found during the initial inspection. After ordering additional material,they proceeded with the replacement of the sheathing with no upgrade to the original estimate. The entire area was then covered with the required water and ice barrier. After removal of the flashing around the chimney they lapped the fire and ice barrier up the sides of the chimney about 9 inches. They replaced the flashing with new color - matched flashing and caulked all the seams. They fashioned additional flashing with 4 inch "kick-outs" to divert rainwater coming down the roof away from the chimney. They then re-shingled the exposed roof area with matching new shingles.

For the work he has done, he provides me a written estimate and even encouraged me to get other estimates. When I asked him to repair something, he contacts me to find out a convenient time or he says he will take care of it as soon as possible. This usually means very quickly. I will come home from work and voila it is done. Everyone I have met from JE Roofing has been professional and bottom line nice. The JE team is down to earth. No slick sales presentations. If you want someone who will work with you, I highly recomment JE Roofing.
Description of Work: I have used JE Roofing to put on new shingles, repair shingles, put on a flat roof, rereoof my garage, and even to seal a vent with wire to keep the squirrels out.

I called them back to see why they didn?t knock on the door to speak with me and they stated they had seen anything they needed to see. I asked if anyone would be coming out and they stated they would send someone out and they didn?t show! I am not very impressed so far with the estimate. If you hire them, they be excellent, but I am grading on my experience so far.

+ 6 moreExcept for weather delays, perfect. Excellent rapport with everyone from roofers to carpenters. Good clean up. The disruption and dis array of construction was well managed. The subs that were used were perfect. John of JE did a terriffic job of orchestrating Siding subcontractor (21st Century) was outstanding. Tony and Pat are true craftsmen. They got into the spirit of the project and made suggestions and showed great creativity and craftsmanship.
Description of Work: New Roof (tear-off), new gutters and soffits, new attic fan, vinyl siding, structural repairs, new deck, stair rails, stairs, 4 storm windows. 100 year old house.
